Why is your bartender sooooooooo suspicious or hateful towards me?? I just walked in your bar that is supposed to be open until 4 a.m. However, your bartender is telling me that she is about to close.... I checked your location out online..... it states that this bar will not close until 4 a.m My normal train service wasn't operating..... so I had to take an alternative route..... I came out of the train station and saw a bar.... I popped in for a drink..... immediately the bartender told me that she was in the mist of closing...... The bartender told me that she was closing........ I took her at her word and started GPS ing another route home..... while doing this..... I noticed her regular customers still ordering drinks.... and to my surprise..... she was still delivering them...... She then walked up to me and said..... i only had time to order one drink..... I drinked my drink ..... more customers came in..... and she was still serving....... okay..... I started getting a new picture of what was talking place... so I ordered another drink on principle..... I wanted to see if she would deny me a drink again She served me....?? Wow..... you just told me that you was closing!!!!!!!!!!!!! KEEP IN MIND.... I was just getting off work...... I didn't look or appear to be intoxicated....... It's approximately 1 hour and a half right now from the time she told me that she was closing..... but I'm sitting here..... customers are still coming in....... and she's still serving drinks.... Needless to say..... I be damned I tip her..... I'm on my second drink.... and customers are still ordering and she is still serving NOTICE....... TO THE BAR OWNER ONE DAY YOU MAY POSSIBLY BE SUED FOR DISCRIMINATION......... your bartender refusing to serve sober customers coming in..... Meanwhile..... I see obviously an overly intoxicated regular at the bar screening about how she lost 700 DOLLARS in this bar...... smh She's too drunk to know where her money is..... but the bartender is having reservations about serving a sober customer just getting off work!!!!!!!!!!! IT'S TUESDAY APRIL 3RD ...AT 2:50 AM!!!!!!! LOOK AT YOUR VIDEO..... SEE EVERYTHING THAT I SAY IS TRUE.... YOUR GOING TO SEE THE ONLY BLACK GIRL IN THE BAR..... WONDERING WHY I'M GETTING BAD SERVICE..... THEN YOUR GOING TO SEE A DRUNK REGULAR GIRL WONDERING WHERE HER MONEY IS IN A DRUNK UPROAR.... NOW THE REGULAR DRUNK GIRL IS SWEARING TO NEVER COME HERE AGAIN....... CRAZY AS F....... SMH LOOK AT YOUR VIDEO PLEASE.....!!!!!! The food was fine, the patrons were lovely. Megan, the bartender who unfortunately was on shift when I ordered my food was not lovely after I finished. She gave standard service. Not much complaint there if a little aloof. But when she closed me out, she charged me the bill plus the 20% tip on the check which isn't automatically added. That's something a place happily discloses with signage or on the receipt or the waiter/bartender would tell you, which neither was the case here. I was about to tip when I immediately saw the charge with the bill plus the 20% pop up via the bank app on my phone. Then I showed her my phone immediately and asked her twice if she added that tip. She tried to tell me things like "its an old system" or "there's a hold". It was a regular point-of-sale system that takes all cards like most other businesses have. Then when I confronted the situation, she tried to tell me I didn't have to tip. It didn't seem like I had much choice in the matter in this case. Then I tried to ask for her manager and of course they weren't around as she said me. It's not even that the tip was too great or that I didn't want to tip, but judging from other reviewers, Megan may be the issue with certain clientele. This place is just like many other bars, with middle of the road 80s throwback rock and country and over-breaded fish and chips. I just wanted some food after a great day outside, not to be quipped by this girl because she wanted a tip she thought she wasn't gonna get because I'm Black, as she wanted to give free shots to her white-adjacent patrons. Skip this bar if you can. Do American Brass if you can.

In this case there should be a minus 1 star rating. 8 months ago I had lunch with a friend ordering the “ prime rib special” . What we were served was a leathery tasteless steak . Not edible. We returned it . We were charged on a gift card $36.50. There was no owner or manager on the premises . No customer service SO RUDE. I tried countless times to reach the owner no response as the CC company advised me to settle direct. I came into town again today and went in to the place. I was yelled at by a server and again no manager in sight. What a horrible way to run a business. I have written 100s of Google reviews and this is my first negative one. DO NOT EVEN TRY THIS PLACE EVEN FOR A BEER . It’s an INSULT and a customer is badly dismissed. LIC has many eateries and why bother with a dive like this!

Not sure if it’s the area but I came here with a friend and we were the only minorities in this place. Waited over 20 minutes to get a beer and we were standing by the bar. The bartender tended to everyone but us. We ordered 2 beers on tap, she took 5 other orders and came back like what did you want again? Then she said you cant just order over people because I won’t listen to you, after we were literally standing here for 20 minutes. Haha this place is a joke. Treat everyone equal regardless of their skin tone. I hate to play the race card but I’d never come back after her attitude.

Place was your typical irish bar. Good music. But towards the end of the night it was diffcult to get any attention from the young girl bartender because there was a lot of customers. I think there should be more than just 1 person working the bar and kitchen at night. And just because I was not at the bar seats doesn't mean she shouldn't walk around the tables to make sure people have drinks and food. Calamari was ok, surprisingly it was very small baby calamari. So experience here was ok...

In my opinion, the bartender Elaine is the best, even with her belly now being pregnant and all, she was sharp as a sharks tooth and faster than any other bartender I've had there before. She also remembers drinks. The food was good for the price, I prefer the mussels over butter sauce, it's only 13 bucks with a beer. If you want a laid back place that actually looks nice, il see you soon.

Very nice waitress. Fried calamari was amazing, especially with the spicy oil on the side as a dip. The sampler platter was good as well, good portion size and four dips to go with it (I believe it was sour cream, marinara sauce, honey mustard, and ketchup). Happy hour cocktails were not too strong but the drink I got with one of the well liquors was strong.

I'm not a bar person, but this bar seems like a nice neighborhood place, Regular selection of beer, from Bud to Guinness, as well as well drinks and wine, Friendly atmosphere and employees. Friendly customers, regular bar food selection seems to be good quality. Everything's clean, and place you can feel comfortable hanging out.

Everyone who walks in, gets an instant feeling of belonging. It doesn't matter where your from Greenpoint Brooklyn, Astoria Queens, Money making Manhattan..it doesn't matter. Great place for food and the drinks are reasonably priced and the bartenders are amazing and friendly. Thank God for leahys!!..come one come all

We are regulars at PJ Leahy’s And have been coming here for 3 years...the service Is great, the staff is soo nice (Michelle is the best) Andy the prices are affordable. My drinks and food are always on time and good. I highly recommend this place and it is kid friendly.... Form: Rita Bella

Me and my family fell in love with this place instantly. The food is surprisingly good, really! I ate the Monday special: a beer and a burger for $10. The staff is nice and got a real sense of humour. It seems to be a place the locals visit happily :)

Neighborhood dive bar. Comes with all the associated pros and cons. Still would recommend it when looking for a cheap drink and a different vibe than most of LIC.

Very cozy, drinks are very cheap. Not too crowded, you can hear each other talk without putting your mouth next to the listener's ears. Overall nice place to grab a quick drink.

Great prime rib for less than $20. The chef put a nice sear on the outside of the steak, marbleing added flavor. Mash and mixed vegs. Can't go wrong here... Guinness on tap.

PJs is the quintessential Irish bar. Divey, cheap, food is great until late . One of those places that feels like home if you're about the vibe. A love it or hate it place.

This place is great! If its to watch some sports, grab a bite, or just kick back with friends for some drinks. You cant go wrong, friendly staff and nice atmosphere.

My husband and I like this sports bar. We came here sometimes. Food menus are great choices. So reasonable. Food is ok, draft beer is so so. But we love here.

Great Irish bar, with actual Irish people working there. Nice people good times. They gave me free corned beef and cabbage so they are alright by me.

This little bar is great for after work drinks, the mozzarella sticks are really good. Very good prices. The bartender is very nice and friendly.
