We own a 1928 two and a half storey duplex. PJ Roofing took on this project which included stripping off all the singles from the duplex and our 5 car garage. Part way through stripping the roof they found large portions of the 93 year old roof boards had split or rotted. After consulting with us, we agreed to have them continue stripping the roof and lay down 1/4 inch plywood and 1 x 6 inch boards where portions of the roof required repair. They also added a snow and ice membrane as well as a synthetic roof wrap. All the dormer valleys had metal flashing installed and custom drip edge was installed prior to laying down the shingles. The work took about a week in a + 30 degree Edmonton heatwave. I’m a very particular customer with high standards and an eye for detail. I was happy to pay a premium for the added extras and the high quality workmanship. I don’t mind paying the trades for quality work and I must say I was not disappointed. We’ve lived in the same house for 30 years. The previous roof was “slapped” on 21 years ago. We expect with the improved fibreglass singles and roof venting to get at least 40 more years out of this renovation. I have no problem recommending PJ and his crew on the roof install. Feel free to check out their work. They are cheaper quotes to be had but most times that reflects in the final product.

Had my roof done in May 2020.. Was away quite a bit that summer so did not notice until the fallowing spring 2021 when there were quite a bit of bird activity around my house. the birds were walking on roof and flying around. in 2022 the bird activity increased with what I thought was a nest nearby. Come 2023 the bird activity was crazy , so sat in my car and watched them go into the soffit area under an overhang in garage. I phoned top guy and told him they were getting under the soffits. said he would come out that week, and sorta blaming me. Its been 4 months now . Got a ladder to look and the facia metal trim in front of soffits had a dent in it, thus pulling it forwards and the soffits were loose enough and separating that birds were nesting there. No one EVER was on that roof but them. There is absolutely NO WAY a dent could be there on facia underside other than their workers hitting it when taking the old roof off. Fed up with his lack of response, thus the rating. they caused the damage, so they are not standing by their workman ship.

Excellent work by PJ Roofing, Tom and his crew. Very professional, explained everything in detail and putting great effort in selecting the right color shingle to match the house. Tom is attentive, responsive and provided detail information to questions we have of our roof. My previous builder made a framing mistake of my roof truss. Tom was able to provide a simple and cost effective solution. I am extremely happy and thankful to PJ Roofing. I highly recommend PJ Roofing to anyone. 10 out of 10.

They repaired my roof where required and re-shingled my home perfectly to the highest standard using quality materials. My roof has some high-angled pitches that many other roofers in the city would not even quote me on. PJ Roofing are highly trained and did the work safely.
