Very disappointed to say the least we've been coming here for 11 years since moving to Lane Cove. It's obvious that take away takes precedence over dine in customers. We sat there waiting 50minutes for our mains only to see it sit at the counter getting cold for 10 minutes. The meal was cold when it arrived. I'd suggest avoiding eating in on a Friday night unless you're willing to wait more then an hour to just eat your cold mains. When we questioned the manager he gave us the 2 delayed entrees for free which was a decent gesture, only to be invain as he did not offer any reason for the delay to dine in customers and just said its free thank you and good bye. Needless to say this was the last time we'll ever be coming here sadly. No photos as it wasn'ta photo worthy experience.

This is now one of my favourite Thai restaurants. Pity I don't live in Sydney. We went for an early dinner and the staff were super friendly, catered well to my nut allergy and made sure we were enjoying ourselves. The curry and stir fry were incredible with fresh veggies and a very generous portion of rice as a side. We probably only needed one between 2 people. Tasty food, friendly and speedy service and great value. What more could you want? If you're in lane cove and feel like some Thai definitely go here!!

I like Thai so I wanted to try this restaurant in Lane-cove and wasn't disappointed. I ordered fried rice with mix ingredients. It didn't take long for preparation and I enjoyed each bit of it. Looking forward to come back to try more dishes. Update:I read the comments about the service so I wanted to add some points. 1) The ATM machine is working now. 2) The staff could be more welcoming but I understand how tired they must be especially I have visited them 09:20 PM.

Me and my partner went here last week. We were not disappointed. I had a yellow curry and it was great only thing that let it down was it said the chicken was thigh meat but it was obviously breast meat and you could taste that it had been boiled. Everything else was great wait time was short Roti was 100/10 and service was great. Definitely worth a try I will be back. I just hope that they sort out the chicken problem

We just moved to Greenwich and decided to check out this Thai restaurant in Lane Cove. Unfortunately we only went there once and never again. Why? Restaurant was freezing cold, meaning no heating in winter time and food was also just very, very average. Good thing is that there are plenty other great restaurants in that area.

We had home delivery, ordered online. On-time and stealing hit. We ordered: beef in oyster sauce, seafood in ginger sauce and vegetables in cashew nut sauce. Just over $40, and they included a free dessert! All of the dishes were delicious. Generous serves as well as generous meats. Flavor was amazing in each dish (my favourite was the cashew) Will definitely be coming back here for more!

This is one of the only Thai restaurants in Sydney who are unable to cater AT ALL for people with allergies. It's crazy as soy can be switched for Tamari sold at Coles for the same price, same taste, so people with allergies can also eat. With 1 in 4 people in Sydney wth some sort of food sensitivities I do not understand why this restaurant doesn't even bother to try. EPIC FAIL!!!!!

Not sure how this place gets such good reviews. Order was not what we ordered, the manager said to text a picture through because he didn’t believe it was wrong and said to send him pictures. Sent pictures and the man tried to say we were confused and he hung up on us. The rest of dishes were average at best and to top it off there was hair in one of the dishes. Terrible experience.

I come here almost every week, usually at lunch. The lunch meals are a good price and you get a decent serving. The Green Curry and Cashew Nut stir fry are my favourite. Best Thai food in Lane Cove!

Patchai Thai Restaurant is an oustanding place that I've been too many times. My family loved is it, and so do it. Their food is tasty without being too oily. Also, they use chilli well. It just doesn't burn you, it has a deep rich flavour. Love the spot, enjoyed it TONIGHT and shall most likely be back there in a few days! July 2021: Back for more and love it!

Delivery order - Normally a 5 star experience, green curry and hot and sour soup are delicious. If you’re ordering the Massaman curry - be aware, it has a large amount of cinnamon in the dish and a big quill on top with star anise. If you don’t like a lot of cinnamon (like me), try one of the other delicious dishes. Potatoes were undercooked as well.

46 minute wait for an order waiting inside the restaurant to take-away (16-26 minutes longer than advised). Recommend: beef massaman (tender, rich - highlight of the order) Avoid: Jungle Curry (ordered pork but received vegetarian - it was just a very spicey clear soup). Other items ordered: thai green (chicken), pad thai (vegatarian). Both average.

Ordered pad thai here and I think i did not like it that much anymore like I used to. I did not even bother to finish the food. The quality of food has changed, maybe they changed their chef/cook. I got pad thai with the noodles too DRY and are all cut too short, with a weird tasting tofu pieces in it. I don’t know but that day it was all so wrong.

This place used to be one of my favourites for over ten years. We used to love it. What on earth has happened to it? I know that the increase in food prices has put a real strain on restaurants and it makes it challenging to maintain quality, but that's no excuse for the food we were served. Big, big thumbs down from me and we're never going back.

We attended as a party of eight. We were very pleased with the generous serving sizes and the freshness of the food. They welcomed our BYO wine and assisted with ordering for the whole party. A pleasant setting and courtesy service. A special diet member of the party found that they could easily work the meal that suited them.

This is the second time we’ve ordered from this restaurant. When you ring up to place the order you’re always welcomed by a kind and friendly voice at the end of the phone. The don’t read the special comments on orders- I asked for mild chilli on one order and add tofu on another. They missed both. The Penang chicken curry was lame- mostly carrot, and very quickly thrown together. No love or care taken at all.

Pathetic food, worst customer experience ever....Their food was inedible. Waited for our mains for more than an hour and my 4 yr kept asking when will the food come. When it did it was horrible, could not have more than few bites. Save urself the hassle thr are many other places tht can serve decent meal.

The food was gross. Noodles with cashews were nut-free and as sweet - It tasted like a dessert with vegetables. Roti was full of very old oil - dripping oil. I couldn't eat it because it smelled bad. The nut sauce was made of curry (no one told us). Too much old oil, too much sugar. Disgusting.

Shocking service, went in with my wife heaps of table in there, but was told it was fully booked and have to sit outside, waited 10mins outside, didn't get served at all, didn't even bring us the menu or water. Then another couple walked in without reservation and was offered to sit inside.

This is one of the worst Thai restaurants on the North Shore. The dishes we we ordered were overly sweet and not much substance. The food tasted off like it had been prepared a couple of days before hand and was not fresh like you expect from the Thai cuisine. Avoid this place at all cost!

Fantastic, tasty food. Dinner servings are huge. We had the pad Thai with soft shell crab, honey duck and crying tiger. Only complaint is not enough sauce

Terrible and rude service They misstook our order and then they blamed us for the waitress sloppiness. The chef was very rude and aggressive. I had to take my family and leave because I didn’t want to fight in my day off. First time been there and I promise I won’t be back.

Ordered takeaway tonight with a 7.05pm pick up. Meal wasn't ready until 7.30pm. Really disappointing. When we got it home it was clear that a couple of the dishes had been cooked and packaged for the expected pick up time, and we're not that great when we got them home.

One of my favourites Thai restaurants in Sydney. Portions are reasonable and the food is tasty. Outstanding customer service as well. The place always look clean and ready to serve people. If you are looking for those spicy thai dishes, Patchai is your restaurant to go.

The food at Patchai Thai is extreme good especially the Pad Thai and we went there several times. The prices are OK and the staff is very helpful and friendly. We found always a table even without a reservation. I would highly recommend this restaurant. BYO is possible.

Great local Thai restaurant when you want fresh food fast. We have been happy with all the dishes we have tried. Service is efficient and friendly, prices are good, and the 5 year old loves the prawn chips. Recommended :)

Great food, terrible customer service! Main man has so much attitude and so does the main lady working there... the only time he is happy is when he’s giving you the bill and saying the credit card machine isn’t working.

Food is ok. Staff are rude and won't make changes to your meal. I tried to ask for extra vegetables and chilli and it was too confusing for them. I just hang up. Sam Thai neutral bay is better. It's worth the drive.

I love this place. I just didn't score as 5 because all the times I tried to order the special drinks from the menu, they were not available. :-( Said that, the food is great and my orders are always super quick!

Incredibly authentic Thai food. As good or better than anything I had during any of my four trips to Thailand. The tom yum goong and green curry are particularly good.

Restaurant couldn’t provide food. They REFUSED to cancel it at their end, forcing me to once again chase UberEats for my money back. Sick and tired of it.
