Visited this hidden gem today thanks to a Facebook group called Dim Sims 4 Lyfe whose recommendations advised us to try their home made Dim Sims. As a self proclaimed connoisseur of the humble Dim Sim, I must agree these dimmies were sensational. We also treated ourselves to some beautifully cooked curried beef with fried rice and braised steak and fried noodles. The meat was as tender as can be and the bonus for both of us was no MSG in any of it. Friendly young man looked after us... Pearl Garden has now become our go-to for good Aussie Chinese and one of the best Dim Sims in Melbourne. Highly recommended...

If you want one of the best cheap and decent Asian feeds in this area... You have to go here. Not only is the food delicious but it's family run and everyone gets involved in helping serve you to the best. They even give you a surprise dessert and the food comes out so damn quick. Would recommend the spare ribs, dim Sims, mandarin pancakes and honey pepper steak.

I gave full 5 stars previously. But it's not as good as it used to be since they changed hands, so I reduced the stars. I don't mind it the price goes up to reflect the current costs, but the quality and quantity should be the same or improved, not reduced. Quality of food has been improved & I'll stay as a regular client. I like lot & lot of fresh veggies. Thank you

The service we received at this restaurant was one of the best I’ve ever experienced. All the staff were so kind and friendly. The food was delicious as well! The plum crispy chicken was soooooo good! Can’t wait to go back! The whole family had a great time and experience.

My family has been coming to Pearl Garden for 35+ years. The food and service is always terrific, the menu has never changed, which is great because I always get the same thing and don't know what I'd do if they got rid of it!! We always have family birthday dinners at Pearl Garden, it's an Upwey institution!!

Some of the worst Chinese I've had in years. Every dish tastes the same, we ordered about 7 mains. The only dish that tasted somewhat like it should have was the beef in black bean and even then it was watery and lacking salt and sugar.

What a gem! We just moved into the area and tried Pearl Garden tonight - so glad we did, we will definitely be coming back! We got one of the banquets and there was sooo much food - we had to take a lot of it away. Amazing value too -

They have a good chef at the moment. Go once a week now for takeaway. Usually have Seafood Birdsnest. I also had a serve of Singapore Spring Rolls (2 per serve). Really nice meal.

Wonderful service, with a smile and a Port to finish with if you like. Fantastic food. Great oversized home made spring roll. A meal by themselves. Diabled car park outside the door. One step to get into dining room.
