Dr Rao is great - however, Dr Ban Abdulabas is the most horrible doctor I have ever been to, I have never written a review before but I feel others need warning in regard to her. She sent me away with a kidney infection with no antibiotics then after seeing another doctor, getting put on incredibly strong antibiotics and a long recovery period I went back to her months later, giving her the benefit of the doubt as my regular doctor was overseas - she spent the entire time belittling me and trying to tell me there was no way I had a kidney infection last time (she believed it to be “ovulation pain” when I was literally doubling over in pain, the pain was in the location of my kidneys - she said this as if I’d never felt ovulation pain before. I was also vomiting, had a high fever and shivers too, definitely not ovulation) when I was diagnosed and treated by someone else due to her negligence, so she was trying to cover her tracks. On a side note has absolutely NO CLUE about women’s health, don’t make the mistake of going to her if you’re postpartum, she will make you feel like garbage due to her ignorance and ROUGH internal exams, she is honestly horrible. I have a medical background and she treats me as if I’m an idiot and she is my superior. She’s rude, careless and completely clueless. Definitely avoid her. Otherwise the clinic is great! I just don’t want anyone else to experience the pain I went through because of her.

Absolutely appalling and disgusting attitude from the receptionist today (26/9/22). So after being forced to use a stupid app to make an appointment, I made one for last week, I received no confirmation via the app or SMS, email etc to confirm said appt so assumed that it didn’t go through. Turn up today to an appointment that I got an actual reminder for & the receptionist says quite rudely “You missed an appt last week, the doctor refuses to see you unless you pay $70”. After explaining to them about the app not showing/confirming my appt, she again was rather rude “Well it’s up to you to make sure your appt is confirmed, I don’t care”. Now I cannot even get the results of my blood tests due to the incompetence of these vultures. So they want to charge me for their mistake? Well get stuffed. I’ll never be back and will tell everyone of the disgusting and uncaring attitudes of both the general staff and all the doctors

Although Doctor Simon Chua was extremely professional and helpful what was NOT extremely professional and helpful was the staff and system in place for my appointment. Issue 1) although booked for 2:45 I was not in with the doctor until 3:50 over an hour later than when booked. Issue 2) after searching online for bulk billed doctors and centres I found this one, completed forms booked online successfully and attended, only at the VERY end of my visit to be given a bill for $110.00? I asked why? And the staff told me that I was implicitly told this was not bulk billed and that it was stated online if I had looked. I did look, and I went through the process again and at NO POINT ANYWHERE AT ANYTIME did it mention that this session or ANY session would be bulk billed. I was forced to pay and will Never attend again. 1/10 only for the actual helpful doctor trapped within this awful facility.

It saddens me to not be returning to this medical centre I love the receptionists and the nurses so much, and there’s another doctor there I’d love to see but I’m way to anxious to attend this centre anymore after the doctor I was currently seeing pulled the final straw with me. Playing with mental health medication isn’t a fabulous idea. I’ve gone through unimaginable withdrawals because of negligence. Been put on medications that are “meant to help with pain” then when they don’t she says “oh this causes pain” like which is it, then I have to go through the withdrawals all over again. Not to mention several other times she’s misdiagnosed me or been condescending or insinuated I was a junkie while prescribing an actual junkie (who is my mother) any prescription she wants. It makes no sense. I want help and I’m not getting it but she’s plenty happy to help an addict

Saw Dr Chua to get a medical formed signed for my drivers license. Understandably he needed to have my specialist send him my medical records sent to him and he would send a fax to request them. I told him that I needed to have him sign it asap as my license was close to expiring. I called my specialist a week later and she said she had not recieved anything. When I called penrith medical centre reception they were very rude and said they knew nothing about it. I left multiple messages with Dr Chua which he never replied to. I had to book into see him and he said he was busy and hadnt had time to send it. Lost my license for 3 weeks waiting for him to do anything. Go to medeco penrith its completely bulk build and the Drs actually look after their patients.

Despite the website saying that bulk billing is available, if you book online it's a lucky dip whether you get a bulk billing doctor or not. As I accepted the terms on the website I agreed to see the doctor and pay. The receptionist was rude and when I asked who the bulk billing doctors were for future reference I was met with attitude. The website advises you to arrive 10 minutes early, and I'm currently writing this from the waiting area, waiting for my doctor to see me. I don't know how the doctor's service is yet, but if im paying out of pocket to see the doctor I expect to not have to wait as long. Currently I've been waiting for 30 mins. Definitely won't be coming back to this clinic!

I booked an appointment at 9am to do a minor surgery, I made 2 days off and get everything ready, when i driving to clinic was 8:45am the resepation called me that doctor is sick, I was not very happy but didn't say anything just made another one for tomorrow at 9am, this morning when I was driving 8:40am, they calling me again told me that doctor still sick can not coming, I nearly arrived so I was upset but the resepation is more angry then me told me:"calm down otherwise I can't talk to you, the doctor is sick, what can I do..." she then asked her manager talking to me. They said sorry but I can feel the sorry only on mouth, the place is rude, I am not trust it any more.

I had been attending this practice for around 10 yrs. My gp left the practice in july and i could not find any other gp in the practice that would take me as a patient. I was told that no one there wants to deal with "his" patients. My medications had withdrawals if stopped abruptly and no one would help me... i ended up in hospital because of the withdrawals. Down right dangerous practice!!! I also have mental health issues and i was practically begging for help. No one wanted to help me. I felt very scared and alone. Its november and i still do not have a gp... On a side note, i love the receptionists... always very helpful....

Janice was extremely rude and impatient when i was trying to make an appointment to seek medical advice she had no empathy whatsoever and sounded like i was inconveniencing her when trying to find a time that also suited me. She just seemed unhappy with herself and wanted to get off the phone. I have called another medical centre and got much better treatment and the lady was so helpful and accommodating. I will Not be coming back again because of Janice’s lack of professionalism. Perhaps she should not be dealing with customers on the phone as she has made me so upset when i am already not feeling well.

I’ve been coming here for essentially my whole life & Dr Papendraea has been my primary dr for all these years. Love him to death, he’s an amazing dr who has always treated me with such kindness and respect. I wouldn’t even consider changing gp’s. Never had an issue with the receptionists either. Dr Clarke however, whom I have dealt with on a few occasions is a rude, cranky old man whom I wouldn’t recommend anyone to. He’s blatantly disrespected his patients, broken dr/patient confidentiality, and I personally feel he should not be allowed to work in the medical field.

Dental check up and teeth cleaning not fully covered by Bupa.Moved home and visit this place with my wife. We never had to pay teeth cleaning and check up before, but end up to pay $120 for our visit. Their Xray instrument is old and the lady suggested us to do another Xray again after cleaning. Teeth cleaning part is not as good. Assistant was STANDING while holding the tube vacuuming fluid, so no accuracy of height. We were both suggested to do further clean ups after. I have doubt... The reception lady is very kind to find errors made by one of the Dr.

I have been attending Penrith Medical centre for a couple of years now after my doctor moved from her own practice into Penrith Medical Centre. I have never had trouble booking my appointments using their GP4ME app or calling and making an appointment. The reception staff can sometimes make you wait for them to ask you who you are seeing but its never that long and I am sure they are busy. It can be a bit of a wait to see my normal doctor but that's because she is a great doctor and I have all my trust in her so I don't mind waiting.

Looked at the reviews and simply couldn't fathom them. I've been going here for a decade and have never had a rude receptionist, and always good service from the doctors. The receptionists don't ignore you, they simply have work to do first, so that they can then serve you. If they are speaking to you, they don't stop and answer the phone until they are finished with you. As to the waiting times, weekends aren't the best, but where is? Don't understand these reviews at all.

Back in 2020 we were advised that our GP of 45 years was retiring. The search began to look for a doctor younger than us. We were fortunate to find Dr Vishal Verma. We were impressed with his medical skills, his compassion and good humour. It wasn’t long after our introduction that Dr Verma picked up the first signs of ocular melanoma in my left eye. Treatment has been ongoing, and we are fortunate to have found him to guide us on this journey. R & C Langley

I have just been reading the reviews and was stunned by the negativity . I have been attending this medical centre for 5 years and have only experienced cheerful and helpful attitudes from the reception staff. My Dr. left and I moved to Dr Ban who has been fantastic through a period of intense activity. I suspect there are hundreds of satisfied patients out there and it is just the few who find a reason to complain.

dont bother going here. theres apparently no bulk billed medical doctors here which doesnt specify that online as it used to, reception staff are rude for no reason. booked an apt for a "private doctor" dr chua, waited 40 minutes and billed $75 only to be told i have something as simple as gastro but i felt like i wasnt being listened to. save your time and go elsewhere this practice has gone down hill.

I always find that the receptionist are very rude. Its like they don't want to be there or its too much bother and its outside of the scope of works. I like the GP's they are good. It really makes me uncomfortable going there to speak to the reception people. I don't understand with so many bad reviews as a business they don't broom them and recruit? This cant be good for the business?

I have attended this pratice now for 16yrs and have had nothing but support, compassion, understanding and has been more than accommodating in emergency situations. I do prefer one particular Dr but I have also seen, with confidence, 2 other Dr's if he is not there. All of my family continues to attend this practice and have been treated very professionally by all staff there.

This has gotta be the worst doctors in Penrith come in for a certificate so my daughter could go to school and they have made as wait over three hours in a waiting read when they told us it’s a 30 minute wait very unprofessional all the doctors walk around like fat slow losers who don’t want to be there best bet go somewhere else the most unprofessional doctors centra ever

Worst place to go, my doctor was away, told reception to ring when shes back, got a call to come in to see a dif doc, i went to get a referal for a MRI. Head Doctor didnt want to see me as i was some 1 elses patent, and she didnt wanna deal with me, kicked me out and called police Had whole incident recorded and am taking this to the health care ombudsmen.

The worst bedside manner I have ever experienced and $70 later. The doctor was swearing all the way through my consultation I was lost for words. My understanding is that most doctors become doctors because they actually care about people. This doctor was complete opposite. Not to mention the reception staff are super rude I will never be going back there.

This is an amazing medical centre. I have been going here through a fairly intense medical period to see Dr chua and have always had good experiences and support. The wait times can be significant some times especially with telehealth the call almost never comes on time and only once have I not recieved a call. However I would still reccomend it highly.

Reception is an absolute joke!! Left on hold while calling ahead to see if a doctor was available. Only to have a 10 minute drive, park and then walk in to reception talking amongst themselves. My entire family comes here to see a doctor who is very good. Unfortunately due to reception and their attitude that will no longer be the case!!

I went there on Saturday and I had a very uncomfortable experience! A receptionist was so rude, irresponsible and unprofessional!! I have never seen anyone in medical services with this immoral attitude. I left the Medical Centre without doing my appointment and I will never visit this Medical center again!!!

love that you cant book and theres always an appointment available last minute, the doctors and nurses are lovely at the centre. however, the reception staff have the most disgusting attitudes. they literally ignore you as you stand there waiting for them !! i only go here because of the doctors and nurses.

Walked in to have bloods and thought I would do the right thing and ask receptionist if you still need a mask, she said yes, I asked if they had any and she said no I would have to go buy some. If you still need to we ar one could you at least have some to offer people like other practices do. Pretty poor.

Reception here is a joke. Instruction are unclear, attitude is poor, bordering on rude. I stand in full view of 4 of them, waiting to be served, for 2 whole minutes they ignore me, even though 3 of them appeared to have been doing nothing. Think they all need to be trained in customer service.

After experiencing chronic pain $ being dismissed for two years by previous GP’s, after one appointment with Dr Chua I had a diagnosis. Thank you Dr Chua. You are a fantastic doctor who I will be recommending to all my loved ones.

With all respect - Is the recording while you wait on the phone designed to drive someone insane? Constant repeating of information is just overload. Surely 20 secs of music in between wouldn't hurt. Painful experience.

The attitude of receptionists are horribe, they dont even know how to talk over phone or in person. I have had few in counters, but today was worst among all . My GP is amazing though, thats the only reason i go there.
