I was at this location today and left traumatized. I went to go pick up the usual for my rabbit. As I was in line, I noticed there was a dog that was laying down and tied to something. (might be the same aggressive dog everyone else is talking about in the reviews). There was a line so I decided to go pet him because he looked friendly. As I started to pet him he completely lost it on me, barking and looked like he wanted to tear me to shreds. If he was not tied to something I truly believe I would be in the hospital right now. I started to cry as I was very shaken up. I used to bath dogs for a living and I've never experienced this. The dog belongs to the ladies that were working there, they apologized to me many times and tried to tell me "he doesn't come here often so maybe thats why, and he also just lost a friend" and they put a muzzle on him. I do not believe this dog should be anywhere near this store let alone inside of it. I am literally traumatized by this. Safe to say I'll be driving the extra 5 minutes to go to another Pet Valu location or another pet store. Don't bring your aggressive dog to work if you have to tie him up and put a muzzle on him... disgusting.

The store staff /owners have a massive German shepherd that barked like crazy and lunged at my and my 3 month old puppy. He wasn’t on a leash and scared us to death. Why would the store let someone bring their terror of a dog to work?? The puppy freaked out and I was really intimidated. I didn’t get the item that I went in for. I got it at another PetValu but they didn’t know if they had it at this one. Instead they tried to get me to give the puppy other stuff —like animal hooves!! — which I didn’t want. I don’t care if it lasts 2 weeks or 2years there’s no way I’m having my dog chewing on a hoof. In the end the person who works there gave the puppy a few treats (without asking me, by the way) and me some sample dog food (which she also gave me the hard sell on). Trying to be nice I guess but it doesn’t make up for a bad experience. I just wanted to get out of there.

I went to this location a couple weeks ago and I didn't have a mask on and everyone else did. Everyone gave me a dirty look and I felt like I was being rushed out of the store. Today I went again but this time I wore my mask yet all the staff this time had their mask around their chin. When I went to buy my dog food the elderly lady who works there was very rude she kept mimicking me and when I went to go tap my card I realized I could not tap so I asked if they had the other machine like last time so I could tap and she told me that I would have to insert my card but again I was telling her it's all on my phone I don't have the card. She had to get help from someone else and she was nice but that elderly lady really drove me up the wall and I think I'll just take my business somewhere else

Yesterday I took my small dog on a lead into the store where the owners German Shepherd ran at her, he was not on a lead. The dog was trying to grab my little dog and she was trying to hide. I had to pull his dog by its collar and was yelling for help while the owner just watched. Finely a customer asked her husband to help me. I ran out of the store with my dog in tears. The owner came to my car while I was checking over my dog and told me his dog just wanted to pick her up and play with her and if she had any vet bills he would pay for them. My dog is only 5 pounds and I was afraid he was going to kill her. I will not be back.

I would not even give this location 1 star. I will never go back. My exprience was similar to another customer. When I entered the store with my miniature Schnauzer on her lead the owners German Shepherd charged at my dog. My dog was very scared and trying to get away. I was holding the owners German Shepherd by the collar and he (the owner) did nothing. He said oh "he is just playing." At which time I told him my dog was terrified because his dog had nipped her behind twice.

There is a large aggressive German Shepard that freely roams the store uncontrolled. It is owned by the owner of the store and it growls and barks at customers totally unprovoked. The owner does not care or even apologize when this happens and instead makes you feel like you’re the one overreacting to the situation .Other reviews have also pointed this out so it is an ongoing issue here. This is an accident waiting to happen and I would avoid shopping here due to this.

I loved the place! I was looking for a kitty cage real quick and ended up entering their store for the first time.. other than being extremely well organized and offering all kinds of necessary items the people working were super nice and it was a wholesome atmosphere! I got to chat with them and met their two cats Harley and Hailey.. the best thing about the place is the authenticity and dedication I would def recommend the place to whomever needs pet supplies!

This is the absolute best Pet Valu I've ever been to, the lady who was working made us feel very comfortable while we were shopping with our dog in the store, she offered our dog a treat and also told us not to worry as we have a dog who likes to talk a lot. She was very professional and polite and was able to answer all my questions regarding animal food. I would highly suggest this Pet Valu even if you're just looking to take your dog in somewhere for a treat.

Great friend service, helped me find what I needed. I never feel rushed. All staff are genuine and after your first conversation with any of the lady's, you know right away they are animal lovers and its not just a job. The staff at this location are extremely friendly and it's always a pleasure to shop here. Bonus points they often have an extremely lovable pet in the store and who doesn't want to pet a doggo or kitty while shopping? They specialize more in dogs and cats but they do have stuff for small animals and birds if you need to grab something

I was having trouble finding a pet location that would offer help for my guinea pigs. They were the only pet services available for a nail trimming that I was able to find at this time. I would like to thank the staff for their continued efforts and highly suggest this location for customers who are looking for great service.

From my experience over the years, the team at Pet Valu genuinely cares about pets and their owners. They always greet me with smiles and are eager to assist with any questions. Their passion for animals is evident, and I appreciate their knowledge and recommendations based on my senior dog's specific needs.

Really like this location, the staff are so friendly. The last time we were in we met the owner who was surprisingly honest with us. Ended up saving us a lot of money at the expense of making a sale. Good for him in the end because we'll be back for all of our pet related purchases.

I've been going to Pet Value for over seven years now. They have a great selection of food. ( I buy Canadian made dog food) If you buy 12 cans of dog food you get 5% discount and you earn points on your Pet Value members card. Staff is very helpful.

I just placed a call to see if they carried an item to which they did not, but the lady on the phone was extremely polite and super informative on where I could find the product I needed and her positive attitude instantly made my evening

They have a best help for my little one my dog has a allergy and for severel year take it the vet and n o help till we find A lady in pet value sehe recommend change the food and a new shampoo and my dog is better tank you to pet valu

Great people, highly recommend over other locations. There a bit out of my way but I would rather go here than the others simply because of the customer service and care. The random petting kitties walking around also help lol.
