Came in on Wednesday. Was admittedly a little tired and not feeling like a chat but definitely needed a coffee. The barista Justin might have been the warmest most kind person I’ve met in my life. Ending up being late to work because we couldn’t stop chatting the latte was absolutely delightful too. I wish I could give 6 star …

Most wonderful coffee and I cannot recommend the atmosphere enough. Mornings can be a stressful time when trying to set up your day/get to work but I felt so relaxed, the two baristas called me by name. They knew the locals names and the locals knew each other. The sense of community was truly heartwarming

I passed by picnic and it was the only place open for a coffee. I got myself a flat white and the Barista made it well. There's a great selection of food on display and it all looked really tasty. The shop has a great fit out and I really like the benches outside. No doubt I'll be back if I'm passing again.

easily the best coffee in Fitzroy north! Long black always is perfect! Staff is friendly, place is clean! Glorious plants. I just wish the seating was different, it feels like it was changed for the lockdown restrictions and stayed that way

Easily the best coffee place in Fitzroy North! Nat, Ryan and the team are all warm, friendly, relaxed and just so good at what they do. Don't let the relaxed atmosphere, beautiful plants and chilled music lead you to believe this is all

Picnic has trumped all other cafes to become my new fav local! Coffee is consistently excellent. Toasties are the best in town - the Reuben is a must-try! And the staff bring the weekend vibes every day of the week. Love love love More

I lived in New York for 18 months and one bite of their Reuben sent me back to the greatest year of my life. Love this place and the staff!! Even vegan options for those who need, my partner is obsessed with the mushroom melt !

Great sandwiches and coffee at pretty good prices. I thought maybe the salad sandwich would be too plain without cheese but it’s perfect thanks to plenty of different veg and a tasty yuzu mayo. Service is always friendly too.

It's not to say you couldn't make a better toastie, but you won't. It's too much effort and you know it. In the time it would take you, you could just by one of these. Treat yourself, they're all worth trying. More

Picnic make a very high quality and enjoyable Rueben toastie among other excellent sandwich choices. Perfectly positioned opposite Edinburgh gardens too for when you’ve forgotten food for your ‘picnic’.

Went in starving and after a super greasy and fatty big sandwich and walked away with the salad sandwich because it looked so good and damn it is the best salad sandwich I've had

Edit: changed 2 to 5 stars because if it's a genuine mistake and not policy then thats no ones fault (also the coffee is nice)
