Stay away from this and all other Planet Fitness gyms. I originally signed up online via the app, and I signed up due to this location being near my home. After coming back into town from a long trip I show up too see they’re under renovation, with the no date of reopening. I decided I wanted to cancel my month-to-month membership, so I called another area PF. They told me I had to come in person to sign a form or send a request via certified mail. It’s 2023. There’s absolutely no other reason to have this policy other than you hope the member will forget, not have time for a while, so you can continue to charge them. Somehow I could sign up via the app, but canceling requires some epic piece of paper that must be signed in person. They’re a joke and unethical. Look at their replies to negative comments - all canned, empty rhetoric responses to repeated failures. As a follow up from their reply to my review, I contacted two area PFs to determine how I could cancel my account - they both stated I could drop by either location to sign my membership cancellation form. Upon arriving at the location I was told I could only cancel my membership at my home gym. After I informed them that not only was there nobody at my home gym to speak to, but they had told me over the phone that I could cancel my membership in person at any location, and about five minutes of mysterious typing, they magically found a way for me to cancel my membership. As for the response that the cancellation policy was in the contract I signed, I would gladly poll all PF employees and ask them if they know the cancellation policy on any of their personal accounts. The fact is that most people look at what they owe and for how long they owe it and sign the document - tell me what it says in the fifth paragraph of your credit card contract....Additionally, you somehow maintain the capability for anyone to sign up via your app, establish payment, and sign a contract, but somehow the same process can't be done to cancel your membership. It's an unethical business practice to ensure cancelling your membership is complicated, so they can continue to syphon money from your account each month. I signed up at another area gym and they did not have the same, ridiculous cancellation policy.

I'm new to working out and working out at a gym. It was something I've never been interested in doing. My husband wanted to get heathier so he decided to go to a gym. He chose planet fitness because of the closeness to our house, the 24hr availability, the price, the equipment,and services. In his membership he can bring a guest for free, so I decided to give it a try. Even though it's only my 4 straight bday of going, I have enjoyed it. The gym does get busy at times, mostly in the evenings around 7(in my experience), but I have not had an issue getting on/using or waiting for an exercise machine or weight machine. There are plenty of both and most are easy to use. I am a bit on the short side, with not much upper body strength, so for me some of the equipment is a bit difficult to use, but my husband helps and I'm able to do it. In addition they also offer tanning rooms, massage chairs, hydro massage and some other total body machine that breaks up body fat, but I don't remember what it's called. Also workout classes and personal trainers. There is always plenty of staff working, and they are friendly. This is a no judgement gym, and I feel that it is accurate. There are individuals of all sizes who attended this gym and I have not encountered or heard jeering, comments or stares. If you have been thinking of working out I suggest giving this place a try. I included a couple of pictures of machines that were not in use, as I wanted to respect people's gym privacy. The photos do not do the gym justice. There is so much more to this gym. Whether you want a quick 30 min or 3 hour workout, this place has it all.

I wish I could give this more stars but my issue is the fact there is a 30 minute express workout section where members disregard the rules and staff don't care about enforcing it. Doesn't seem safe or convenient having some people lingering and others sticking to the timer. Either have an express workout area or don't. *UPDATE* I went back in today and ask for the manager as directed below and although a manager wasn't available a senior employee, Ashley, was available so I explained what happened the previous day. She was totally understanding and echoed my concerns. She walked over to the 30 minute workout area and talked to me about my background, offered her own personal experience, talk about my fitness goals and any issues I had (my shoulder hasn't been the same since I had my baby). She gave me so many great recommendations from alternative workouts, reps Vs weight, finishing on the stair master and even talked to me about a black member card benefits and personal training/classes that could help me reach my goals. I felt listened to, cared about and SAFE! After our discussion, she made sure every in the 30 minute workout knew how the area works and offered help. One patron was unhappy about it but this lady handled it like a boss. This was the most incredible display of fantastic customer service from the moment I came in to the moment I left. I went from unhappy patron to considering upgrading my membership. This lady needs to be the manager! Thank you PF!

People make a place as much as the equipment. I joined about 2 weeks ago, and I have not been impressed with the staff. No one greets you as you walk in, some barely make eye contact. When I signed up there was a young man and a Hispanic woman with glasses. I was using the Active and Fit program, and the young man was unsure how to sign me up. The Hispanic female helped but wasn't very nice about it. She repeatedly asked if I planned to use the tanning beds, and when I said I wasn't too sure, she said she needed to know right there for the waiver. I said that I decline for now and just add it back if I decided that it was something I wanted. She mentioned that wasn't possible. Once I signed up, I asked the young man where the locker room was he asked if I wanted a tour. When I said yes, he almost seemed disappointed that he had to give me one. I was expecting him to go over all the amenities that were in my membership but just got a half-a@$Ed tour in including him telling me that he did work out so he didn't know what half the machines where. I think the most disappointing thing was when I left feedback from an email I got, I got a phone call from at gym at 10pm. I was already in bed and asleep what business calls a customer at 10pm?! I like Planet Fitness and I like the thought process behind it, but like I said, your staff makes the visit, and the staff here ruined my experience.

SEP 2023 /////// This is regarding the facility only NOT the staff! o After more than two months of closing for renovation, this place is a big disappointment and it starts as you walk in, with the front door would not close all the way by itself. o Equipment are still broken. o No new equipment. o The facility is smaller than other PF facilities. o Black card spa area: Still two hydro massage chairs (albeit new chairs). o No couch/seats area as of this review (I was told they're getting a couch soon). o Windows used to be tinted to reduce sun glare/helps with privacy (not picking here). o Finally, the front desk area is smaller than before (non of my business since I'm not the one who have to stand there for eight hours without a chair or a stool). Your employees work hard to keep the place clean and presentable... Please take care of them! -----END OF UPDATE----- I just wanted to recognize the night shift crew Andres and Isaiah for their hard work at keeping the place super clean and organized. Very friendly, welcoming, and professional staff. Also, shout out to Ashley and her midday folks thank you for all you do. My dad and I prefer this location over the other ones!

I went to this location to get to work out with my brothers for the first time in a long time. Unfortunately the assistant general manager Tate decided to take it upon himself to get in the way of that experience. While doing the lap pulldown machine Tate decided to come by me and my brothers and tell us that a small pull bag we had for our wallets and keys we had leaned on the machine was a trip hazard and a safety issue because “there could be people with bombs and such” I would’ve understood if he didn’t then proceed to walk away and past 2 other gentleman, sweep directly next to their full on backpack they had in the same position as my bag and not tell them anything about it, at least not until I went up to him and called him out for his negligent and what appears to be discriminatory behavior. He even decided to insert himself in the conversation while I was at the front desk asking for the number to corporate, stating “I’m the assistant general manager, I can stand here and listen to you if I so please” Planet Fitness! someone please fire this man! I’d have given 0 stars if I could

I’ve come to this planet fitness multiple times and the stalls are almost always out of toilet paper in the women’s bathroom. After I was stuck in a stall one day waiting for someone to hand me paper, I asked one of the guys at the front desk to replace the paper. He gave me an attitude and said that there wasn’t a female employee working at the moment. I told him it was unacceptable because I had just been stuck in the stall and they had to do something or at least put a sign up. He rolled his eyes, but eventually closed off the bathroom to replace it. Since then, when he is on duty he does not greet me when I walk in (which is totally fine, just pathetic). The bathrooms are always disgusting, and twice now when showering I’ve seen either crickets or water bugs because of a poorly placed drain. I have now switched to Golds. One compliment-in the morning, there is a gentleman that is always cleaning the equipment. (Pictures below are two different stalls)

I completely love this gym, it's my home gym. I am very unhappy however with a few things that were done during the renovations. The mirrors were completely taken out of the tanning rooms which doesn't make any sense at all. The full length mirrors were also taken out of the dressing rooms, ALSO makes no sense AT ALL. I don't know whose decision it was to do this, but especially for women, we need mirrors wherever we are changing because we have to look at every angle to make sure everything is good to go and nothing is showing that shouldn't be. THIS ALSO HELPS TO KEEP PEOPLE FROM TAKING PICTURES OF THEMSELVES IN THE MIRROR IN THE COMMON AREA OF THE LOCKER ROOM. I also think that box fans should be added to the tanning rooms so that we can aim them at our sweaty wet clothes to help dry them while we are in the tanning bed. Anyone who has had to put on a sweaty wet sports bra understands why this would be EXTREMELY helpful. .

DANGER! Poorly trained staff can cause you harm. I went to use their red light therapy and got a very bad burn and when I called back to find out why my skin was red and painful they assured me I couldn't have accidentally received tanning and they advised me I might be having a reaction to the red light therapy. They advised me to seek medical consultation. When I went back a few weeks later to ask about they red light therapy, only then did they reveal that when they remodled that they replaced their red light therapy machines with a hybrid that did tanning and red light therapy- so I had been given tanning without my knowledge or conscent. I have sensitive skin and am not supposed to tan. When I asked them to cover my medical expenses they said they are not liable because of the waiver I signed when I got my membership. All I asked was for them to cover my medical expenses related to their negligence. Truly awful.

I've been to a few Planet Fitness. Currently going to the potranco location. Starting off the parking lot is very small. From 5:30 am to 10pm its hard to find parking. Inside the gym is spacious, and the equipment works. The employees say hi and bye, which is nice. The only thing I found odd is that one employee who cleans the treadmills (assuming, of course) did not like that I was sweating while running on the treadmill and kept staring at me with a very upset look. I was wearing a hot suit, so there was a lot of sweat, but I would appreciate it if he would not angerly stare at me while I work out. Other than this one gentleman and the parking lot, this planetfitness is good. 3 stars. 4 stars if the treadmill cleaner guy relaxes a bit. Edit: Thank you for your reply. I will take your advice if it happens a second time. 5 stars for customer service.

I've had memberships at other gyms before but would never go back after being a Planet Fitness member. This gym is less than 2 miles from my house, open and staffed 24 hours a day, super clean, and they just rearranged for easier workout flow when they put in all new machines with higher weights. Also free weights, 360 area, 30 minutes workout circuit, and a huge selection of cardio machines. Bring a friend, free tanning, fitness toner, and hydro massage. I love finishing my workouts with the massage They offer so much its incredible. Potranco is my favorite location, but did I mention the membership is good all over. Thanks Planet Fitness!!

I first met Ashley Curtis, my fitness trainer December 2021 and began consistently training with her one on one and with other members during circuit training, January 2022. It has been just a bit over a year now and wow! She has not only educated me on proper form and included a wide range of exercises implementing my ballet background, I have gained so much confidence with her training skills. I have been challenged and encouraged like I asked at our orientation. I am forever grateful for Ashley always going up and beyond for her clients! I have gained knowledge along the way that I can apply to my life daily.

This gym just sucks. They have multiples of equipment that’s unnecessary like the leg adductor - but one single leg press, one single peck deck and so forth. One stand up tanning booth- which is really the only valid reason to go to this gym- often has a line. In the era of COVID planet fitness was at the forefront of social distancing- but purchase more stand up booths so you don’t lay down where others do? That’s crazy talk! It’s all virtue signaling. Do yourself a favor, spend the same amount on a real gym membership. Golds is right down the street one exit.

It's a good gym for a good price. A definite recommend for those starting to workout. Be sure to use all the benefits like having a trainer show you around to make the most of it and to be effective with the equipment. And download the app for quick check ins, gym traffic updates, and workout routines on the app. For those not budget concerned or are experienced, you may find other gyms better, it can get crowded even in 5 in the morning. And they don't have many amenities like saunas or fruit bars etc etc. Overall not bad.

No gym bag Deal breaker for me. Other gyms allow bags. Why can’t PF? In addition, it is so much sanitary and safer to use one’s own equipment. I tried no gym bag yesterday and lugged my stuff around. It took me longer to work out and had to lose equipment because I had to go to the locker room several times. I log my workouts. No. I can’t do that now b/c no gym bag. I carry a lot of equipment,belt, straps, bands, etc. Now, I wouldn’t be able to do that. No, not practical. Too bad. I’ll need to go elsewhere.

They lied to me about the annual fee and billing. It was $53 to get started plus the $10 and then if you don't pay right away the first of the month it is $10 late fee +$53 for the yearly fee...so far I paid $126 just for two months. The worker told me it was only $53 for the yearly fee and that would get me started and that per month it would be $10 and change. I have spoken numerous times to customer service and management but yet have gotten my money back or problem resolved.

Everything about your organization appeals to me except one thing. I want to use a credit card for my monthly payment and you only accept debit cards. It is my policy not to give access to my checking account. Why are you willing to let that prevent me from enjoying a membership with you? If you're concerned about me missing a payment you could just let me give you 1 or 2 backup credit cards. There is no logical reason to deny me that option.

I absolutely love this place. It honesty is a NO JUDGEMENT ZONE. I signed up with a black card that allows me to use all the amenities. I am a mom of 4 teens. The awesome thing is, they are giving a free pass for each teen 14-18 for the summer. It is nice to get these kids active and off of their electronics. To be honest, I didn't think they would enjoy it as much as they do. They push me to go everyday. Love, love love this place.

Regrettably I am disappointed at this location. On 15 Sept 23 someone broke into my locked locker and I was robbed. I notified management and the police. I have lost confidence and trust with this place. I have been Coming hear for years. When you are robbed here regrettably very little can be done even when you contact police and when you do the right things. I am lucky thief’s did not leave with my vehicle.

It’s an okay gym and it’s very clean most of the time but the only water fountain there gets broken more often than it should be. As it is the only water fountain there it’s pretty much impossible to get some water or fill up your bottle without buying water bottles straight from them. A good solution would be to at least have a minimum of 2 fountains so if one breaks you’ll have a backup.

I like it so far. Just joined a few weeks ago. Feel comfortable going and showing up is half the battle. This is my first gym membership in over twenty years. I was kind of reluctant because I have work to do, but nobody has ever bothered me or made me feel uncomfortable. Staff has been nice. Only been a couple of times, but look forward to going and getting healthier.

Hello, Why do you not accept cash for drinks you sell? Cash is an excepted currency here in America. Coming in at 4:30am I don’t always have a card to pay with. So I had to do my work out with bottled water. Yes, I know you have water fountains. But that water is not cold and doesn’t taste good. Ps: I did try to email this to the club manager…

Great place to get a workout in and it is 24-hours. I was skeptical about joining this gym but it is super clean l, has a friendly staff, and the equipment is in phenomenal shape as well. The price is great and the place is perfect for those that have to fit in a workout outside of the daily 9 to 5 grind! UFO Buster Radio approved

God they suck, no one ever answers the phone now it’s only an automated system. Recently had to replace my card that I had on file and forgot to update it and they charged me a late fee and said that they don’t waive them regardless of the circumstances. I should’ve stuck with my previous gym but I needed something open later.

No parking. People dont clean the machines after. Teenagers just sit at the mechines and play on their phones. Spray bottles be empty while staff be sitting on counters just on their phones. Cherry on top, they charged my account twice and collected for the same month. Call to get answers and seems like know is in charge.

Adding a review because some reviews were not completely honest. It's a good club to workout in and is currently under renovation. There were signs up all summer at the club notifying members of the renovation. I was told that the club would be closed in August and reopen on 9/1. Hopefully it will reopen on time.

I just signed up at this gym about a month ago and I started sessions with Ashley Curtis and she is the best trainer I’ve ever had. She keeps me motivated and accountable with my fitness journey. She’s definitely an asset to this gym and I wouldn’t be going without her there. THANK YOU ASHLEY FOR BEING THE BEST.

This is the one that was renovated. I didn't venture past the weights, to the right after entrance. They now have pairs for popular ones (leg press,row, etc.). The environment was clean and inviting. Someone constantly cleaned, and they're friendly. In other words, it's worth a trip or two or even three.

Soooo, you start renovations and do absolutely nothing to let members know other than the app. Cool, I hope others do what I do and go elsewhere. I was already needing a reason due to the influx of kids playing around and machines that’s always down. Well, I guess this is a farewell and a thank you.

I will have to say it was weird being in the gym. My trainer Ashley, the best trainer ever, will not be training. No one will replace her. Her work ethic is the best ND I had to CANCEL my membership. I will not go back to Planet Fitness. Taking my trainer away will not help with my growth.

Some of these reviewers aren't being honest and are probably on the cheap plan and demand Black Card service. I am digging the new remodel and am glad to see they've updated some of the equipment. They also added new equipment as well. I've noticed the newer staff is more attentive now.

We have been going to Planet Fitness on Potranco for 6 months now. Th location was recently renovated and feels very comfortable. There is rarely if ever, a wait for equipment. What never needed renovating was the staff. They are tremendous, polite, professional, and very helpful.

I love going every morning. The stations are kept clean. Staff is friendly and welcome us with a smile as we check in,, and a thank you on our way out. Safety measures are in place, and everyone respects distancing as well as mask wearing as recommended.

I love that this gym is 24 hours. Every time I've been there it's always been well-kept and clean. The machines are always in working condition and I love the excess amount of cardio machines! I would love to see more areas for free weights.

Their facilities are well maintained, and the app displays down times so I can beat the rush. It really helps with getting a full workout and not having to wait on machines. The staff are very welcoming and inviting.

I just signed up and I love the laid back atmosphere that the gym provides. I also love that its open around the clock as my schedule sometimes changes. Staff has been great as well, never had a bad visit so far.

SO BUSY! I wish there were more locations. I just went (7:30pm) and every single machine, free weights and floor area was taken up. I'm almost willing to pay the extra money to go to a less crowded gym.

Gym was clean and looked well kept. The equipment seemed new. The Black Card area was very nice and the tanning bed was state of the art. Staff was nice.
