It’s a shame to see how this company has fallen from grace. I work in Roadside assistance and over the years Ive referred many customers to Pop a lock. Usually customers that I could not help because they may have had their keys locked in the trunk. These days Pop a lock doesn’t even have a technician available after 9 o’clock! You call them and the local customer service feel is now gone; you’re met with often times Heavy-accented foreigners from some call center in another state. For years I depended on these guys to help assist the customers that I couldn’t but they are no longer dependable. These days they don’t even come 5 miles outside of 465 at 12 noon on a Friday. I called them today to help a young lady who was locked out of her car via the trunk and I was told that Pop a lock doesn’t come to the Southport area. 20 minutes later I was called back by a pop a lock technician and was told that wasn’t true and that that dispatcher was misinformed (The dispatcher was a foreigner, go figure). Waited for the technician to call back and he never did and then about two hours later another technician called as if it was just 10 minutes ago and said that he could help the woman; I just gave him the woman’s number and told him if you can help her please do because she’s waited a long time. Man I tell you I don’t know what happened to this company but whatever happened it definitely isn’t the same. I remember Pop a lock being on the news informing people of scam artist that were in the Indianapolis area and now it looks like Pop a lock is shaping up to be one of those guys themselves. Do yourself a huge favor, call another company that’s a small business that will show better appreciation and urgency for your time of need. Trust me, you don’t want to call these guys!

While on vacation, pet sitter was unable to unlock the door due to some malfunction. We won’t be home for two more nights so we needed someone to unlock the door for her. Was recommended to use this service as I’m a AAA member and they offer a discount. The girl that answered the phone asked a bunch of unnecessary questions after I’d already explained the situation about if we needed a key made and if we wanted a new lock. I reiterated that we just need an emergency lockout assist and we would fix the lock ourselves once home. She put me on hold then came back and informed me they couldn’t help me due to it being a “security risk” and that the person wanting in would need a notorized letter proving they were allowed in. I questioned her on this and she insisted this was true. I then asked her what if I was the one standing there would I still need a notorized letter because my address on my ID doesn’t match. She informed me yes. Pretty idiotic to think someone would pay to break into a condo to feed my cats. Will never use or recommend. Unlock Indy was more polite, knowledgeable, and helpful by a long stretch!

Jeremy was very efficient and accommodating! He showed up even earlier than expected knowing we were going out of town for the weekend! We originally called for a key fob for our 2015 Nissan NV200 van. We live almost 45 minutes north of Indianapolis and every mobile locksmith we called said we were out of the area or that they didnt have the key we needed. When he showed up he didn't have the correct fob, but had a key that worked as a transmitter key for the ignition (i believe), and cut a separate key for the door. He told us he could have the key with the fob first thing Monday morning and would come out ((again)) and get it cut and programmed. It cost us almost 3/4 of the price we had been quoted for towing and having a key cut and programmed at the nearest Nissan dealership! We were so fortunate! He showed up this morning with the correct fob and programmed it within 10min! We were so impressed with how professional and compassionate he was in regard to our situation, we had to ask for business cards! I will always recommend Jeremy at pop-a-lock to friends and family! Thank you so much, sir!

I lost the key to my Avalon. Technician Jeremy came the same day that I called for help, and made a new key / key fob for me. He was professional, kind and quickly worked to fix this problem. The prices were reasonable and far less than the dealership would have charged me. He mentioned that I could follow up if I found my original as he would need to reprogram it or it wouldn’t work. A few days after Jeremy made my new key and key fob, I noticed that the key was hard to turn on one side. I also found my original key. He came back to make a new key AND programmed my original key so I would have solid backups. It’s refreshing when someone stands behind their work and it made a real impact on me. I am extremely impressed with this level of customer service and follow through and would recommend PopALock, and Jeremy in particular, to anyone that needs locksmithing help.

I am sure they provide fine services, but we wouldn’t know. We called after being locked out of our home and provided them photos of our locks. Despite our best efforts to provide them the necessary information to complete the job, they decided to cancel our services without telling us. We subsequently spent three hours waiting for a response, called several times, texted the number of the tech that initially reached out, and received no notice of cancellation. Three hours! I know Saturday nights are busy, but even a courtesy call would have been the least we could have asked for. Literally the least. Yet here we are, our wait now extending into its fifth hour because we had to find a new locksmith, and our lock unfortunately remains unpopped.

They need to improve their customer service I’ve use them now three times and it’s very obvious that they do not dispatch locally on your first call. Yesterday they left me stranded for more than two hours without my phone wallet and my keys running in the car. When I called there out of state booking number which is the one here listed they said that the Indianapolis department deleted my order or someone deleted my order. Their lack of locality is why I will never use this service again and I shouldn’t have to call them six times and every single time tell them that I am in Indianapolis Indiana after I’ve told them my name. I don’t know who dropped the ball on this but it was a complete customer service mess and ruined my entire workday

Jeremy to the rescue! After 7 years of pet sitting I got myself into a situation that I had hoped would never happen! One of the dogs I watch locked me out of the vehicle while locking himself inside in the dead of Winter! Pop-a-lock waw super responsive to my call and estimated 30 minutes but Jeremy got to me in a little under 10 minutes! He then had my vehicle open in a matter of seconds and I was able to get to my little canine friend! Pop a lock get kids out of launch vehicles for free and they were super kind for understanding that pets or children too! I highly recommend this lock service and I hope the situation never happens again but if it does at least I have a little comfort in knowing who to call!

If I could give them NO STARS I would I'm part of the people who keep this country moving I'm an American Truck driver. All I needed from this encounter was a (DOOR KEY) made for the semi truck I driver OTR(Over The Road) (Note) with THE OWNERS PERMISSION. To be able to keep my work tools & belongings in my truck at night while I'm parked with a peice of mind doing so. No help whatsoever. Even if they couldn't do it at lease refer me to someone who could but everyone isn't team friendly I guess.... I will contact another locksmith but I'll NEVER deal with this company again everybody gets ONE opportunity for my business ONE!!!!! Mr. SMITH of Indianapolis, IN‍♂️

Jeremy and Matt were very professional in handling their services. They were running behind a bit on time scheduling but who doesn’t, Jeremy noted it was hard to find people to work and he was doing a lot of hours. Much appreciated Jeremy!!! It’s hard to find solid people as I have about 30-40 people who work under my supervision at different times and jobs, but I make sure I let them know how much they’re appreciated by doing little things such as get them lunch once in awhile, I think Matt and Jeremy deserve a couple of those… they’re good guys! Thanks for doing a great job and getting my Sons car rolling again I will highly recommend you guys!!

My daughter lost her key at prom and so she called pop a lock and Jeremy got us a new key fab right away. It was covered under warranty and so about a month later when my fab got stuck behind the dash (long story), Matt came out and took awesome care of us! He deprogrammed that key that was stuck and got us 2 new keys. Not only did they do a great job but they also made my 16 year old feel comfortable having to do this without me there. I 100% will call them first thing for any key issues. Thanks Matt and Jeremy!!

We were in a terrible situation last Thursday night. Fiance's purse was stolen while shopping with wallet, phone and key fob. Pop a lock got back to us the quickest of any others we called. On site quickly. It was raining 37 degrees crowded parking lot. Mark and his coworker gained access to our car, programmed a new fob and had us on our way in about 20 minutes. They did an awesome job under very difficult circumstances. It was a big relief after a stressful day. Thanks again!!

Got locked out of my garage on the coldest day of the year while shoveling snow. My key pad wouldn't work and had to ask my neighbor to call someone. Lucky he found or picked this company. 2 guys showed up and never got their names but one got my front door to open in about 5 mins. He said (Its what I do). Never will figure out how the receipt showed up on my cell since I never gave it to them. The call was made with my neighbors phone?

two locksmiths got called to one location. Locksmith A (ours) got there first, then locksmith B (popalock) got there second. Jeremy with popalock cussed and intimidated the other locksmith with his firearm and told the ladies they didn’t have to pay our locksmith anything. I wasn’t aware another company dictates what a customer pays for our service call. The boss lied saying he was on the phone with the technician the entire time lol

CALL THIS COMPANY!!!! Ronnie Logan saved the day! He was at my door in 15-20 minutes from my confirmation call. Asked me questions about the locks ahead of time and opened my door in a minute- maybe 2! I’m beyond grateful for the customer experience I received! I rarely leave reviews but this one needed it! My husband accidentally locked his keys in his car and called this company for help. He’s stuck outside and they told him they’d be there in 40 minutes and no one showed up so he called for an update and they said they’d be there in 10 minutes. 10 minutes later, still no one. So he called again and they hung up on him. So.. highly do not recommend this company and looking for recommendations on locksmiths. Thanks!

Me and my wife just bought our house and have been tirelessly working to put it together. As exhausted as we were we decided to step out (at2:30 a.m.) and walk our dog somehow our door locked behind us. We were as cold as could be (24 degrees) but they got to us as fast as possible while other places wanted to schedule an appointment for 2 days out. Thank you so much to pop a lock.

Jeremy was very prompt and efficient. I am a new homeowner and also a tad scatterbrained. I'd locked myself out of my home and couldn't get to my keys. Jeremy texted me immediately to identify the type of lock and arrived well within the estimated time frame. He got my door open in almost no time at all and was very pleasant. The dispatcher, Tommy, was wonderful as well.

The technician Jeremy called to say the time he was gonna show up was 2-3 hrs after the time of the appointment then he canceled on me when I asked why. This company ruined my whole day and abandoned me in the time of need. Matt on the other hand called to apologize and was very professional he saved me from giving them zero stars to 1.

Arrive earlier than agreed. I was very pleased. I have had to use a locksmith before who was three hours late. Pap a lock was early the technician was extremely helpful and funny he had my car unlocked and my keys in my hand in less than 10 minutes. Altogether a great experience. I will definitely recommend pop a lock to oh my friends

I locked my self out of my house and the service rep was fast and friendly while he unlocked my house and then came next door and let me know that my door was unlocked. I was able to get to work with only a minimum delay. The weather was freezing and my pop a lock rep was at my front door in about 45 minutes. I was very grateful.

Matt came and looked at our door knobs to re-key. He was very nice, professional, and right on time. He actually made the suggestion for us to save some money and buy brand new knobs at a hardware store rather than pay the 119.99 re-key. He was looking out for the customer more than himself. I respect that and am very grateful!

Matt was quick, efficient, and very nice. He communicated well when arranging a time to make my spare key and was accommodating to my work schedule as well as choosing a place to meet that wasn’t too far from my area. He even showed me some tricks about my car that wasn’t mentioned when purchasing my car. 10/10 for Matt

The only complaint I have is I called for a key to be made & I was waiting for someone to call me for an appointment they never called so I called the next day only to wait again but when the technician arrived he told the other person called off but im glad he made it he was very professional & quick

I called at 5:18 PM for assistance and I was told it was going to take 30 minutes for someone to arrive. Jeremy finally text me at 6:11 PM and asks if I still need someone there smh. I called to ask him what's taking so long and he's in line somewhere ordering food. Never again!

The technician, Eli, was very professional and friendly. He arrived when he said he would, had my car unlocked quickly so I was able to retrieve my keys, which gave me peace of mind. He even charged me less than was originally quoted. I would highly recommend Pop-A-Lock of Indy.

Locked my keys in the truck, called Onstar and they contacted Pop-A-Lock for me. Gentlemen showed up very quick and within 5 minutes I was on my way. He was very friendly, efficient and professional. Would definitely use them again! I’d have given more stars if I could.

I was quoted an hour to come unlock my car. An hour later, a technician texted me to tell me it would be another hour. When I informed him of my original quote, Jacob only said “do you still want me to come out”. No apology. Nothing. Unprofessional.

Mark was prompt, professional and very courteous. Our lock was not a particularly easy one to access but Mark was persistent. He ended up getting us into our home and we would not hesitate to recommend him and this company to our friends.

The technician that provided us our service was earlier than agreed time. Which was awesome. He was courteous and professional. Very quick. Highest marks. Hopefully we never need this service again. But if we do we know who to call.

Locksmith was very rude and disrespectful and lied on us. Tried to call him directly and he ignored our calls (2x's). The city manager did reach out to me. Do not recommend due to the attitude of Jeromy (locksmith).
