Too many parents insist on sending their children here out of similar schools due to location. Being a (rather scarred) former student of this school, I'd advise you to think twice before applying and not get all eye-candied by their image of prestige; it isn't half as 'top-tier' as marketing shows it to be. Gatekeeping is the covert essence of the school; teachers are unprofessionally transparent in their biases , subpar in their teaching abilities. The concept of wellbeing is misguided by their expectations of students who are either outwardly rude or two-faced . The atmosphere is shifting towards that of a poorly-managed public school. The school recently attempts to be progressive but ultimately fails and comes off as desperate. Pretty much every aspect of the school has lowered, especially in the past few years. Frankly speaking, I've never witnessed a school with a more rapid and drastic downfall than that of PLC. Many parents who enrol their children in JS turn away from the fact that they are setting their children up for a toxic environment that is inevitably approaching, however, veiled by the innocence of JS. Mark my words and save your children 6 years of unerasable trauma simply by avoiding this viral rotting candy that baits the majority of its short-sighted victims , and send them to one of the many better schools that are just minutes away.
Terribly communication with head of elc lady, pushy and mean after i ask to withdraw not like one teacher and admin i’ve seen in other preschool during other tour, if the interview happens before the acceptance letter i’ll definitely not go and accept it. talking to a 3 year old like “that’s enough!” i was a bit struggling because of the words she use because my kids can’t stay there still for more than 10 minutes but who’s 3yo can? any patience as you work in elc? what will happen if i’m not there in the elc? The last call There was even words i can’t remember exactly but like “i would give this chance to other kids who wanted this place and good education “ what? Only plc got good education you mean? there wasn’t a sincere wish to end this conversation. Very disappointed with this def-to-go school by mouth of people. She was talking like i breach the contract as if i wanted to take their place and doesn’t want to let other kids in. Will never go and don’t need your “good “education if my kids will be talking to ppl like this. Bye
The only reason why I came to this school was because of the geese roast. I heard all about it and was incredibly excited, however when I got there all I got was disgusting mac n' cheese. One time I even found hair in it!!! They once tried to poison me with crab and try to rip you off by never giving you the right bill. This is all true :( This was 5 years ago and I have heard worse from my friends still there. Do not go to this school. You will be forced back in to the 1800s where they make you sit in rows like a prisoner. You will die and be forever be traumatised. WARNING. DON'T GO
PLC is an amazing school! The education is great, everything is clean and hygienic, the toilets are actually cleaned everyday. PLC also offers swimming classes. All the teachers are very friendly and the activities we do in class are really fun. It is also a girl only school which I really like because girls understand girls a lot better! I love PLC. I want to stay till year 12. Oh, also it starts from kindergarten to year 12
I'm an old collegian myself and I have a daughter who is primary school age. Back in my days, it was a great school with a great mix of girls from all different background/race. However, I'm not sure if I want to enroll my daughter at PLC as it has become a school with one ethnic group. I understand the school is ATAR driven but would be good to be a school which attracts different races as well as academically strong girls.
1) Trash uniforms. Too hot, not baggy enough, too strict on uniforms. 2) Having to change from sport uniform to academic is a waste of time 3) Students and teachers aren't good. Just don't even go here, it actually sucks. 4) Don't send your kids here, you'll be better off sending them to Eltham High at this point. I'm being really generous with my one star, you know. This deserves a zero.
The most selfish drivers at the senior school. No U-turns is not so you can drop your child off and then do one without thought to anyone else. No stopping is just that but time and time again I see parents dropping their children off and letting them run in front of cars doing the right thing. If your child gets injured who's fault is it? Shame on you parents who only think of yourself.
Lovely school, the staff are amazing! Kind, encouraging and caring, with clean facilities. However, can not say the same for the students. While majority of the students are very nice, there is a very obvious divide, and I had a lot of talking behind backs, and ridiculing occur. I feel that there is two sides to the school — and the unlucky ones sadly bear the brunt of the bad side
Victorian government is advising social distancing. How PLC can be satisfied school girls can or able to achieve this in public transport and in school bus for that matter. Furthermore government policy is that not more than 5 to 10 people get together and this have been ignored in classtooms. School should not open nor girls attend to school till above matters are resolved.
This is a great school if you have an academically brilliant child. It was great for one of my step-kids. But it doesn't go out of its way to help less capable students. It is selling its ATAR score, and the less academic students get weeded out in a way that is not very upfront.
I've heard so many good things about this school. Great facilities, awesome teachers, excellent, thoughtful, resilient students with compassion, obedience, leadership and integrity. Way to go! I'm so looking forward to studying here one day!
School has very minimal social activities for students and getting worse. Lots of girls are attending tutoring outside of school, which helps more than what have learnt in school to achieve good VCE result.
They did not pay me and had no duty of care. I was unable to vaccinate and they stood me down. Management covered their own tracks and offered no compensation.
Amazing school with many friendly teachers and amazing swimming pool! Also a great environment for the kids and many friendly students.
Fantastic school. Had a wonderful experience attending the school! Incredible facilities, teaching staff and resources.
My daughter and our family find PLC nurturing, motivating and inspiring and we love the school’s cultural diversity.
A great school! So warm and welcoming and the parents have been wonderfully supportive. highly recommend
I’ve heard absolute horror stories from this school focus on educational not appearance ridiculous!
Great school, nice environment for academic learning. Love it~
please aim to diversify the social scene
