Proper nearly killed myself going to this school. Get told "speak up about bullying" and "tell a teacher" yet when you do whether or not you are supported comes down to if the bully is part of the school's donor family...vice principal in 2018 told me a photo of me "wasn't very flattering" when I was in a meeting with her to discuss an issue with another student. Cheers Glenis made me feel real spectacular about myself especially since that wasn't relevant to the conversation at all. Their motto "we believe in girls" is the epitome of irony. They'll only believe in your child if they fit the mould of the 'traditional woman'. Maths teacher Ms Danos also swore/yelled at me in front of the class when i asked her why i got a question wrong because I couldn't understand where I'd made the mistake...not very encouraging
I honestly had the time of my life at this school! Graduated a couple years ago in aliveness, and I remember my year 7 days like it was yesterday. My friends and I sacrificed little Timmy on a Friday afternoon one time and we got an A+ for our maths assessment because of it, the music teacher even helped us in it! I highly recommend Ruyton for anyone looking for a welcoming and fun community with plenty of co-curriculum activities like the sacrifice club, hitting people in the head with eggs club, the sacrificial sports team and putting trumpets on peoples heads club.
This school grossed me out. I know people at this school and they experienced a horrible time there. There was body shaming, bullying, cyber bullying, toxic people, peer pressured into things. I know being at this school has ruined the mental health of many people it’s disgusting. This school also had very homophobic values and the people that had been brought up there were very toxic and spoilt. For the sake of having a stable mental health don’t go here.
I admit Ruyton was good but now it’s going DOWN. They blackmailed students to donate to them if they didn’t they weren’t allowed to wear free dress and have sausage sizzle. When my daughter left in her grade 11 other people left. She left because a girl pushed her and threw a lunch box at her and my daughter had to say sorry and the violent girl got away with it. Ruyton was very racist especially to my asainq daughter.
I have been at Ruyton for the last two years (Year 7+8) and it has been an overwhelmingly positive experience. Everyone is so friendly and the teachers are so supportive. There are a wide range of co-curricular activities and leadership opportunities that really help boost the community. I look forward to my future years at Ruyton.
I sent my son Timmy to this school, but they kicked him out! I can't believe it! I thought the school was welcoming to all genders but NO! It's a girl's school! I can't believe it!! I would have never known!!!!!!!! By the way, my son is at Trinity right now, but I'm thinking of sending him to MLC.
I graduated this school 10 years ago. This school supported me so much, to focus and to perform well when things turned out difficult in my year 12. Teachers are more than willing to help and engage Highly recommend!
It’s funny. Came for a school tour this morning, and it’s only half hour since advertised time and they finished already. If you can’t organize a proper school tour then don’t do it. Totally waste of time.
My young girl has been here since she was 3. She made lots of good friends and had a great experience with lots wonderful teachers. It’s a great place to shape young ladies!
My daughter went to this school for 2 days now we moved to Africa to get away from the negative energy… don’t really recommend
My daughter got bullied and was not about to talk to others and she had few friends.
