When the defendant's attorneys submitted an unacceptable settlement offer, my team at Price Benowitz quickly called to inform me of said offer and strongly urged me to reject it. I followed their advice without hesitation and am so glad I did. The defendant's lawyers were not willing to offer a more reasonable settlement, so a trial date was set for my case, but I was told that I would have to appear at a deposition prior to that. My lead attorney at Price Benowitz took the time to thoroughly prepare me for the deposition and was a reassuring force in the room with me throughout the entire session. A few weeks after the deposition, the defendant's attorney's reached out to the team at Price Benowitz to discuss a more "reasonable" settlement offer. Much to my surprise, the amount of the new offer was nearly three times more than the original offer and was more than fair. I happily accepted the new offer and the case was officially closed, but none of that would have been possible without the legal advice and expertise of the attorneys and staff at Price Benowitz. Tl;dr: I called for an initial consultation while dealing with a clear and complicated malpractice situation. They were not interested in talking to us until after the surgery that is now needed due to the malpractice is completed. We never even got to the consultation before we were turned away. After an initial search for a medical malpractice firm and reviewing their website, I called Price Benowitz for an initial consultation. At this stage, we were dealing with an ongoing medical issue that had severely worsened due to a series of clear mistakes made by the hospital and attending Doctors. While we still have a long road ahead, the malpractice has been so obvious I believe it would be prudent to engage with an attorney at this stage to ensure we're asking the right questions and taking appropriate measures going forward to protect ourselves. Unfortunately, after a brief 5 minute call with the person that answered, she checked with one of the attorneys and told me they weren't interested and could not help me - but I should call back after the now inevitable surgery so they can assess if they want the case then. I expressed my disappointment and how that felt like a very one-way position that may be to their advantage but would not provide the level of support we're looking for anyway. Ultimately, better to know that before locking into a representation agreement but still disappointing how they apparently view potential clients.

Cynthia was soooooooo rude to me! I absolutely don’t want to be represented by this law firm. I’m so hurt at the way these people spoke to me today. Its been a run around!! …. For months? As a client? I’ve been without a job, without a car, and without MONEY! … my accident was in May. I finished physical therapy in September. I’ve felt so lost during this entire process. I’ve been calling the Doctors offices and insurance companies myself. Today i expressed my concerns and frustration with Cynthia. From the door, she was sooo unapologetic. I felt absolutely no empathy from her. Her colleagues were just as nasty and rude. This all makes waiting for a settlement so not worth it. I’m almost ready to just pay the fees to switch to another attorney because of the lack of respect and value that I felt from this phone call today. This Law firm has great reviews. I was so excited to use them regarding a concern of mine. When I first called, I was told that they would definitely be able to help me. The gentleman took my personal information, I gave him everything he asked for. He said we would be in contact soon to schedule a phone consultation. A few mins later I was called back to see if I received the emails, I told him I did, the emails were regarding the credit card confirmation. Requested a consultation via website chat on a Monday. Client manager called back after hours, but left a text explaining how to submit my ticket for review. Submitted ticket, awaited response. Nothing. Called back twice, talked to two more client managers. Finally on Friday I call the office. The person on the other end answered my question - which was that they couldn’t help me with a camera ticket. Im sure this is a good law firm for other matters, but I wish they had told me up front that this law office didn’t support contesting camera tickets. It’s not listed on their website and I talked with three different individuals before one gave me an answer.
