Sage needs a reality check! Pride Square is the start of something amazing in Newtown and the broader Inner West to make it an even safer, respectful and inclusive place for all no matter what. The community of Newtown is making a solid effort, people making silly claims like this is exactly what’s wrong with society. Just go to many of the safe, inclusive and welcome businesses and places in Newtown and the Inner West all whom spend countless hours and money contributing to these spaces.
Renamed with a new sculpture added for Pride 2023. ♥️ Directly across from the station, this is a popular meet-ups spot and is the location for a weekend swap-meet market. The Hare Krishna food truck is here weeknights at 6:30 offering meals for what you can pay. Closest public toilet is at the train station or Camperdown Rest Memorial Park

Ugly unnatural colors littering an otherwise nice area. People need to realise painting multicoloured poles and erecting an extremely ugly obelisk only hinders their cause and at the same time interrupts the beauty of the natural environment and heritage architecture.
Headed up for the trans day of visibility rally. Rain or shine it was a great turnout.
