My husband and I from Georgia and we are here in Jacksonville for the next 3 to 4 weeks, while my husband undergoes w treatment for cancer and this was the closest Publix to us. We have shopped at Publix for the past 30 plus years and I have never had a complaint about any of their employees until today. This pharmacy at the Arlington River location, has a very rude employee working in the pharmacy dept. I’m not sure if he is normally just a rude person or if he doesn’t like women or in general, or he doesn’t like. senior citizens. With his attitude, He should not be dealing with the customers, he doesn’t appear to have any patience with customers. The location where we normally shop is in Port Wentworth, Ga. and their pharmacist (all of them) are very helpful, patience, kind, and caring, they are the best and I expected the same type of service here as we receive in Georgia. I can’t imagine that no one has complained about this one employee before now. He was young and from a Asian race/decent, I may try and find another Publix in the area, even if have to drive further. I’ve never seen a Publix employee be so rude, but his fellow employees didn’t seem to be moved to say anything, just let him act the way he did. Maybe I’m over acting from the stress I’ve been under from my husband health, but one working with the public should be rude to a customer.
I am generally very happy with the service I receive from this pharmacy. On one recent occasion, I had to wait while an order was being processed. During this period, many people strolled by as I sat in a convenient chair situated within shouting distance of the counter. Some of these folks glared at me with contempt because I was not wearing a mask. I am a combat vet who served in Viet Nam and wearing a mask for an length of time does terrible things to me psychologically, physically and spiritually; as such I cannot wear one for any lenght of time in public. I realize other people do not understand this, but that is their problem. Any way, I was getting paranoid and if anyone had said anything I was prepared to fight. To my delight, the pharmacy tech who took my order did not hassle me and in doing so, I was able to relax, close my eyes and wait patently in peace. I noted this and if I could remember her name I would let her co-workers know how appreciative I was of her professional sensitivity. She was a young black girl, small in stature but big in heart. Thank you
I called 2 days before December 31st knowing that they would be closed for New Year. I asked if they could have my medication filled early in the morning as I was travelling. Christine, the pharmacist, said the medication would be ready by 11 am as she couldn’t guarantee as she didn’t know how busy they would be. Explained again the situation and she did not show any sympathy o desire to help. I am a physician with the idea that the patient is the most important. Just in shock with the lack of empathy found in this pharmacy I moved 7 months ago and my experience with this pharmacy has been terrible. Customer services is not even close to a C. Totally different than Tampa. You cannot expect from them more than a polite robot without a brain would do. Sad
AWFUL customer service over the phone and in person from Lori. I was there today purchasing my prescription with a coupon because my insurance doesn’t cover it and she was talking down to me and being very disrespectful. Lori shouldn’t be working with customers. It is the first and last time going there. It was a bad experience. Definitely I am going to keep picking up my prescription at Walgreens, where I shouldn’t never take it off. I expected better from Publix. Extremely disappointed.
I am a raving fan of Publix, but would like to share an extra-special story from this evening. I was taking my groceries out to my car, as a bagger named Chris was out collecting carts. I got to my car, and before I could even open my trunk, Chris had stopped what he was doing to come over to help. He even opened my door for me after we finished. What a gentleman! Major kudos to his customer service! This is why Arlington River Publix will ALWAYS have me coming back. Thank you Chris!
Great staff shopping is always a pleasure they're always willing to help find any product you need they tend to you right away and always have a smile on their face I love it there me and my husband shop there every single day now they are offering free vaccines and I'm going to take it
Do NOT use this pharmacy, they look for ways to rob you. I went to pick up my meds at 9 am after verifying that they were ready for pickup the night before. When I got there I was told not only had they been cancelled, but I would have to pay a second time if I wanted them!
Service is quick and efficient. Store is always bright and clean. Everyone speaks to you and makes you feel welcome. They are sure to ask about your day and make certain you found everything you needed. Pricing can be a few cents more but it's surely well worth it.
Worst customer service. No continuity to what I was told between first and second visits. Staff basically just blamed my doctor. Find another outlet for medication. Preferably a pharmacist who actually is professional and cares.
Bad deli, always understaffed during lunch hours... How can they not think of scheduling more people on lunch rush, there was 1 person on a substation that could fit 3 people ..
When getting my prescriptions filled takes LONGER THAN MY ER TRIP you have completely failed at customer service!!!! Highly disappointed and let down!!!
They don't always take out your groceries. Especially if you are not dressed properly. You MUST be dressed to the 9s
Publix always tends to be a shopping pleasure, not great for the price concerned though.
This is my favorite grocery store and pharmacy. Always a pleasant experience.
Very fast and friendly. They will work you in if you are in a hurry.
