Writing as a new-joiner on my experiences at this gym. Many people here acknowledging that this gym gets busy, mainly in peak hours. This is very true, however based upon experience of other gyms this is no different to what I’ve witnessed elsewhere with other franchises. There is a London overhead for sure but nothing insurmountable; for example a recent update to the app gives an day specific hour-by-hour forecast of peak times whilst telling you how many members are in the gym at the current time. What I would like to offer is perhaps some useful ways of tackling peak times for members, and for PureGym, based upon my experience at Fulham. 1) Do not be beholden to a workout with a fixed order or sequence, it is possible to focus on specific body areas or goals but… 2) have alternative exercises / machines in mind when you visit to relieve the anxiety of having to wait. The PureGym Induction session is very useful for explaining what areas / machines are specific for what body part / goal. 3) Seldom will you have to wait long if you are working out close to the the apparatus you want to use - so having a mobile holding exercise in mind will help. 4) @Puregym, some posters on gym etiquette would not go a miss. Clearly many people using the bench to rest their water bottle and phone on whilst they stand and workout next to it. Free weight benches are often at a premium peak time and create a muster point for members. Overall the gym is packed with a good mix of cardio, toning, and strength equipment. It’s clean, and the staff are very helpful. I have no idea why this is not one of the 24-hour PureGyms but hope this is looked at regularly to see if this helps spread the usage.

What have you done?! The equipment additions that occurred this week are terrible! Why are there now 3 sub-optimal machine lat-pulldowns (2 of which are the exact same), and not a single good cable one that you would find in any other gym? There are now a total of 6 standing cable setups taking up the only available space in an already crowded gym. The only space that was available for exercises such as walking lunges has been removed. What was wrong with the 4 originally? Additionally, which gym in central London requires 2 leg extensions rather than varying the equipment and having a hack squat or seated leg curl, both of which this gym does not have? You could have even bought a seated leg curl that also functions as a leg extension... On your last reply to my review you stated that you “aim to provide a broad spread of kit to cater to a range of fitness needs” - I struggle to see how adding kit that the gym already had achieves this… The gym now has more equipment it did not need and is too cluttered. I would leave feedback at the gym, however, “the feedback box, which is regularly reviewed” does not exist. I have trained here 6 times per week for the last 2 years, however I am now looking for better options.

Dear PureGym Fulham, My experience with you was short and sad. I don't know how a place such this one have no receptionist to provide information to (maybe) new clients. However, I should wait a while to go into this place (if you have no code you are not allowed to go in). Okay, I have understood. A guy came (David, I suppose his name is) trying to be very friendly, but for me wasn't helpful. We were few people there waiting for some information . I have asked about student offers, he try to be again helpful, but wasn't . However, you have there very pure offers for students (which is not a problem for me), but even that one it wasn't available ‍♀️‍♀️‍♀️. I said, okay, no problem... let's take myself and go out. Surprise surprise.... I have to wait for someone to open this "coffin" with pin for me. Few minutes later, David showed up. This time not as friendly as before, because my review was negative for him and ofcourse people don't like negative thoughts ‼❗ In conclusion, dear PureGym you should pay more attention on people's needs and negative thoughts mostly are more helpful than positive comments. Bye bye.

DO NOT GO TO PUREGYM! UPDATE: They charged me for a month while my membership was frozen and now they refuse to give me a refund and to cancel my membership!!! ………….. This gym has always been pretty busy, but used to be ok if you went at off-peak times. Now it's just impossibly crowded all the time. Just went in and walked straight back out after I saw four girls waiting to use the only hip thrust station. Looking for a new gym (not that they need my business, they're clearing doing very well). But just beware if you have a tight or inflexible schedule. Edit in response to the owners reply: I always check on the app, but unfortunately it's never not crowded. I used to always go at 3pm, when there were usually under 40 people in, but recently it's been 60. Even at half of the stated capacity, you'll still have to wait around to use some of the equipment. It just does not work for people in a hurry. Just froze my membership today and started a membership somewhere else and hope to permanently move there.

I've been going to this gym on and off since it opened, and currently it's very over subscribed. An hour into their opening times there is usually over 120 people in there, and it's just not large enough to handle that many people. For reference after 70 people it starts to feel crowded. I'd like for them to open earlier so I could avoid the rush if nothing else. My flatemate complained about it about 6 months ago and the managment just told him not to go in peak hours... which fankly is a silly suggestion, you go to the gym when you are able to do so, which is also when everyone else goes. The equipment is good, and when things break they do get fixed quickly. It would be nice to have a cable machine for rows though. The classes are great, but I don't go to them very often, maybe some more diversity in the classes would be nice. I'll keep going, as my company pays for my membership, but if there was another reasonably priced gym in the area I'd switch immediately.

This gym used to be okay in comparison to gyms in the area, but has recently gone downhill. No thought has been put into the new kit purchased. There is no need for 2 diverging lat pull down machines, why couldn’t a cable lat pull down be purchased? Again, no need for 2 leg extension machines, another leg isolation machine could provide more equipment variation. Finally there are now 6 cable machines; removing gym floor space so certain cable exercises are no longer possible with the space available and the ability to perform certain exercises, such as walking lunges is no longer possible. I am deeply disappointed that an already crowded gym has been made more difficult to navigate by redundant kit. For the cost, being one of the more expensive Puregyms in London, it is not worth the money and I am now moving elsewhere due to the poor facilities for the price.

Been having PT session with Bogdan Calinescu from PureGym for the past few months starting with rehabilitation and now for growth. Throughout the process Bogdan has been an absolute pleasure to work out with. He's very knowledgable regarding exercise planning and guidance. The training session are exactly what I was looking for. With results being the primary focus each session is a step up from the last to ensure continuous improvement. All in all can wholeheartedly recommend him for anyone serious about their goals. Puregym itself is a very decent gym with sufficient equipment. I work out primarily at none-peak hours which ensures I don't have to wait before using any equipment. However, the few times I've visitied during peak hours I can agree with other reviews that it is overcrowded. That said, it is still the best gym in the neighbourhood.

  • Jessy boo

Abusive behaviour behaviour from members and some members of stuff is allowed here. Even after reporting it. I was advised to report it from some members of staff and Eduardo the manager was really helpful when I communicated my concerns and issues. While other members of staff and management either pretend not to see or hear, and I have been advised and forced not to proceed with reporting the issue. Which is shocking. So if you're a female and join the gym and experience this better shut your mouth and carry on or go somewhere else as nothing is going to be done. Despite hearing everyday a recorded voice saying no abusive behaviour is tolerated in the gym. The manager Eduardo is the only person who tries to deal with every issue and work hard to maintain a pleasant gym environment but unfortunately he cannot do everyone else job.

I bought a day pass that allows me to book for free classes. The classes were great with great instructor. I was confused at first as how it’s going to work, everyone seems regular and they knew what to do. I had to follow others. I wished the instructor could help in terms of correcting postures and techniques for the exercises since I am a beginner, but overall it was a great session. The gym is clean, nice, good environment, very accessible and the location is perfect too. For newcomers, I suggest that to watch video from PureGym apps on how to enter the gym, rules and regulations before coming. The gym didn’t provide a padlock and you have to bring/purchase one. But I wish that it’s provided especially for a one-time user. Overall, it’s a great gym. Do come at a less busy time otherwise you have to wait to use the equipment.

  • Mel Ange

The gym is good, well equipped, etc. Under normal circumstances, i'd give five stars. However, noone is wearing masks, not even when lounging around. For the visitors, I would give a pass, but staff, I can't accept it. Apparently they don't care because "covid is a hoax as we all know it, goverment is trying to oppress us" - I sort of regret even asking, having to politely listen to their explanation. Gym manager and deputy wears masks sometimes but they don't care that the PTs and others don't. Think no mask whatsoever, not even a chin diaper! People looking for safe gyms: there are some, just look. Gyms where people wear masks and remove it for sets only. Gyms where staff follow the promise on their website.

  • William D

Let’s start with the good stuff. The gym isn’t nearly as busy as I anticipated. I went at 4-5PM on a weekday, and I didn’t have much trouble getting what I needed. The staff, limited though it is, we’re kind and helpful. Now, I’m coming from Third Space in Soho, so my standards for gyms might be a bit off… but there are a ton of things missing from this gym. The lockers smell terrible, but the gym itself is otherwise clean. The WiFi connection sucks which messes with my workout tracking, and I work in an industry where being disconnected costs money. It’s a good all around gym if you’re the type that wears your gear to the gym, leaves in that gear, and doesn’t mind not having access to specialty stuff.

  • Laura London

Great trainers who are friendly and with a how can I help attitude. No doubt that the gym manager has been working hard to get the gym in such an efficient condition as there are rarely any issues or machines not working. The gym is not very large and facilities are ok. 2 floors with 2 studios. Classes are of 30min and they are mainly in the evening, although you can have some very early in the morning and at lunch. You will need to book space for the classes with the app, no need if you are just turning up to work out. Good money for value and I would recommend it to anyone who is interested in coming to the gym for a work out rather than for a chat or an IG session.

  • Iain Campbell

Getting to this location during off peak hours will offer great value and best experience. The gym is very well equipped and has everything you to pursue most health and fitness goals including strength, powerlifting, weight training. I would reccomend it to almost anybody and judging by the crowd and it would seem most people would tend to agree based on the foot traffic. There is little to fault the facility on besides things I wish were available for my specific case. -There is no secure location to lock up my bike securely indoors.(Brompton electric) -A large gym/gear bag is a bit of a squeeze when trying to get through the secure access doors.

  • Joe Galaszewski

I have been to over 100 different gyms all over the US and the UK. I love visiting new gyms and consider it a hobby whenever I am traveling to a new place. I bought a day pass to PureGym, £12 for a day which is a little pricey. The gyms best comparison is to planet fitness in the United States. The gym has plenty of cardio options on the main floor but I would say that gym is lacking when it comes to free weights and machines on the other level. If you are a beginner lifter or just looking for a nice place to do cardio this is a good gym for you, but if you looking for something more spacious and better equipped I would not recommend this gym.

  • Eleonora Pole

I have been a member of this gym for over a year now and although it is not very big and doesn’t always have space/enough free weights to do a workout, it is very convenient for me location wise. I tend to go every morning (mon-fri) and have been pretty content with it however recently have noticed that the cleaning standards have dropped so low I am considering changing gyms. For example this week the changing room was not cleaned at all between Monday and Friday mornings- yep, that’s including the toilets, showers and floors!!! By Friday I could not walk around barefoot without having dust and hair sticking to my feet. It is truly gross!!!!

  • Jane

Positive : good value for the money / equipment and machine are all new and working / good classes trainers and good timetables Negative : difficult to find a locker and a mat at the busy hours / no towel / frustrating that you can already be in waiting list as soon as the class is released on the app as members with extra membership can book the classes two weeks in advance ! / not joking if you miss 3 classes in 28 days because of unexpected events, ok they block you from booking a class like otters gyms but they cancel as well all the classes you had booked for the following days, quite severe !

  • Dalila Salgueiro

The gym is nice and has a good equipment. However the internet is terrible, so you can’t even check the routines online or get a call whilst you’re there. They should definitely improve their internet services. Also the classes are very cardio inspired. They should offer Pilates, yoga, barre without needing to pay extra for those classes and more focused on the overall well-being rather than just weightlifting, cardio, etc. The gym gets absolutely packed at rush hour and the ladies toilet/changing room are always very smelly and dirty. However, good price if you just want to use it in and out.

  • Cal

Much busier since the South Kensington branch closed – at peak times it gets extremely busy and it’s hard to get lockers or access to equipment. Equipment doesn’t seem to undergo routine inspection and often seems poorly maintained, with benches and seats on machines missing screws or bolts. 50% of the time, cleaning machines have run out of paper towels, making it impossible to wipe down machines after use. Otherwise it’s a decent space, nicely laid out, and quite a good size.

  • Polina F

An amazing gym for an amazing price, with quality classes and instructors that care. I've loved coming here for classes, and especially Mark, Alina and Pandora's morning classes (there's always a waiting list for good reason). Love that the gym opens early and has classes as early as 6:30 Mon-Fri. Clean facilities/showers, a welcoming atmosphere. Really sad to leave as I've moved and already struggling to find something comparable!

  • Glad Tidings

Brilliant! Great facilities and clean!! The music is not too loud either.. Very friendly staff!! I've done the strength group session, Burn it, pump, Circuits, cycle and bootcamp, they're tough, but enjoyable and effective!! Its hours are perfect, and still has a community feel! (I'm fond of most of the staff, some of them don't really engage with people, and are too workmen like and boring.)

  • Anas Hady

The many other reviews about the dirty machines are unfortunately true. I think it's silly for the social media team to send copy and paste responses to reviews, it doesn't look good and not even answering this particular query. Other than the cleanliness and frequently empty smart water machine, this is a very well equipped gym with everything you need (could have more lat pulldown machines though).

  • M F

I went on a trial run with a mate last week, I liked what I saw so signed up. Today, I went on my own and found it to be even better. I usually avoid gym after work because I can't take the pressure of gyms at peak times, but this gym wasn't too busy last week or today - I easily got through all of my exercises. The gym has a friendly atmosphere and is very clean, couldn't ask for more really.

  • Undercover Reviewer (Someone)

Have been signed up to this gym since it opened with the promotional offer which is great. The biggest disappointment comes from the false advertisements in the promotional emails prior to the clubs opening. Emails included phrases such as "24 hour gym" which is actually incorrect. Small gym with not a lot of equipment or space. Will be cancelling once the promotional offer runs out.

  • Vaidas P.

Really good value gym. Has everything you need for a fairly inexpensive price. Well equipped and with all equipment in good shape. Spaced over 2 floors - ground and basement. Gets pretty busy and crowded from 5pm onwards on weekdays, less busy from 8pm. Other times not too busy. Weekends busy late morning and around noon time. Several personal trainers available for hire.

  • Kevin Bone Sosa

Been going for about a year. Small but with everything you need and close to the station. Peak times are horrible, avoid if you are going on these times. The gym is too small and they don't cap it. Sometimes 90 to 115 people at a time with only 8 benches. (there is an app that tells you how many people) but still I would like a 60 people cap because the gym is too small.

  • Olivia Cassano

It’s fine for a high street/commercial gym, nothing to write home about. My only real complaint is that I’ve been a member for years and I have never seen the ladies’ bathroom clean. There’s always mould in the sinks and some weird stains in the stalls. I doubt they get cleaned regularly, and if they do the cleaners aren’t doing a good enough job

  • Henrique

Could be a little bigger for the price. Also the ads/announcements on the tannoy are super annoying. Sometimes the music is turned all the way down for some reason. Edit: the gym is constantly overbooked, can hardly ever find a free machine/spot downstairs even non peak times during the week, there isn't enough equipment for the machines either.

  • Isak E.

Well priced gym for London - but due to this it does get extremely busy during non working hours so don't expect to get a decent workout in under an hour. They do have multiple classes which I haven't attended due to laziness but that's probably not a bad shout to get efficiency going. The covid-doors are a bit of a hassle but safety first yo.

  • Francesca Celestino

If you are looking for a great spinning class, try Jamal class on Tuesday afternoon! Jamal is brilliant, the lesson flows, he structures the lesson so well and makes you work really hard without realising you are on the bike for forty minutes! Highly recommend his classes, he is a wonderful instructor, humble but professional and supportive!

  • Karolina Praskova

Just wanted to point out how ridiculous it is that you would remove the circuit class on the Saturday for a pump class that’s already on the schedule enough during the week and even on a Saturday morning makes no sense at all. Please review this and consider putting the class back as the pump class is unnecessary and boring. Thanks

  • Brooke Hunsaker

I’ve been part of the gym for about a month now and have really enjoyed my experience so far. The classes are really good, I especially enjoy the cycling and Pilates. The gym is always clean and it’s never been too crowded. It feels like a good value for the price and I would recommend for anyone looking for a new gym.

  • Isaac Herzog

The manager is so rude who i think is from brazil is always watching you in a menacing way. He always tells how to use the machine. I don't wany or need your advise. Stop being unprofessional and threatening to people. Do your job like making sure the machines are clean and free form sweat and leave people alone.

  • Joel Smith

The manager at this gym is not very helpful at all. Puregym makes the the simplest things difficult. Really poor service. The manager was more than happy for me to cancel my membership even after years of loyalty at another branch. Puregym should really review his position and give him additional training.

  • Camille Evrard

Great gym but today the ladies were shocking; you should get someone to go and check the bathrooms regularly. EDIT: Thank you for the quick response Alastair and hopefully this won't happen again! I have deleted the picture as we don't want this to show when people google puregym fulham..

  • Shaifa Remtulla

The stair master was reported faulty last week by myself and another member to one of the staff yet no one has taken the initiative to do anything about it- and they continue to let members use it. Obviously safety is not a priority for them and laziness is. It’s also way too busy now

  • Michael Holliday

It's a good gym, but too busy most of the time. It's not open 24 hrs. There are a couple near that are, but it doesn't really help. Pure gym need to open another decent sized gym in Fulham/ Chelsea. Now that south Kensington is shutting it's probably only going to get busier

  • Grahame Thomas

I like this gym good equipment, wide age range of users. I have a personal trainer Dimitar who has helped me with my weight and fitness levels. He has incorporated exercises the hospital gave me to do for my joints. From just over a year of attending I am so much healthier.

  • Henry Barfoot

Joined this gym mostly to do spin classes over the winter while I can’t get out on bike as much. Must say I’ve been happy with the classes so far that are included in membership. Rest of the gym looks okay, can get a little busy but overall very good for the price.

  • Mandy Farries

Good range of equipment and machines, seems to be clean despite the lack of cleaning supplies available to gym goers. Only complaints are that it’s too humid and not air conditioned to a cool enough temperature, and there doesn’t seem to be many staffed hours.

  • Alin Tani

Great place to work , burn calories and sculpt your body . It has upstairs area for cardio and resistance machines , but downstairs is really the real work take places with free weights , pull up bars when you can push yourself to new fitness heights.

  • Martin Devine

really didn’t enjoy my short time here, it’s way too busy if you want to use weights, you’re constantly waiting on benches I used the app to see when it was less busy, but even at lunch time, or after 8 when the app said it was quiet, it wasn’t

  • Taleb Isa

staff are just there chatting and not cleaning the machines . They need to spry and clean every hour at less these machines can get very dirty and some dumb people want to take your place so they will come to you and ask " how many sets left "!

  • Sam Hussein

Where is the cleaner? So many staff who stand around doing nothing. The machines are getting greasy and dirty and there is no way to wipe them down. No excuse for unclean machines. Stop chatting and surfing the internet and clean the place.

  • Digby Neave

Excellent gym but super busy all the time (I.e. not just at peak times). Great equipment.....if you can find some not being used! Have since moved but would recommend for someone who lives nearby and really only wants cardio equipment.

  • jane stewart

Great gym great staff please keep up the good standard. Eduardo is so friendly and helpful. He is a credit to Pure gym. Other lovely staff members are Jermaine, Stephan and David also Philippa. Many thanks for all your help.

  • Bradley Taylor

Absolutely love training at PureGym Fulham! The facilities are fantastic and always well kept. They also have 3 watt bikes which is a win for cyclists out there. Also great PT's - Alex and Jermaine are great guys!

  • Danielle Gibbs

I’ve never enjoyed going to the gym until I started coming here! The atmosphere is amazing and it’s very clean! I’m also having PT sessions with Jermaine at the moment he’s amazing would highly recommend him!

  • Chloé Dejon

Pure Gym and especially PT Bogdan helped me overcome my fears and improve both my strength and my awareness of my body. Bogdan is competent, pedagogical, and always finds the right word to cheer you up!

  • Jazmine Murray

Used to be pretty good gym until they brought in the new timetable and got rid of most the early morning classes. Unfortunately, I’m locked into my contract until May so I’m stuck there until then.

  • Matteo M

Great place and facility. 6 squat racks. However it gets super super busy during peak hours. Update. Had to remove an extra star as now the gym is extremely busy at both peak and off peak hours.

  • SMI.

This gym is filthy. I don't understand why don't they clean the place. Air quality is always horrible. High level of humidity. The windows are steamed up. Management is terrible.

  • Hardy Ali

Very nice and clean gym but the only problem there not punching bag me and my brother we join but we both have to leave as there not punching bag otherwise everything is great

  • Nina Hurd-Zetter

Great classes, lots to choose from! Great equipment... I go during the day so don’t really know what it’s like evening time... but the app lets you know how busy it is anyway

  • Jakob Schröcksnadel

Super clean space and friendly staff. However, a little overcrowded in combination with limited gear make it a little bit of pain if you try to push in a quick workout .

  • Jordi Llambrich

Went on a Friday afternoon, it wasn't crowded at all. Really big space, lots of different types of machines. Only downside is that 1 day pass is too expensive (10.99).

  • Jermaine Gustave

Great Gym well run well equipped and classes are always good. Personal trainers are all good. Also management is very good aswell as the members that are at the club.

  • Ayasha Rahman

Been going since it opened. The staff are awesome and the gym is well equipped with everything you need. I especially like the hydro massage chairs post-workout!

  • Simon Lowe

Loved it....big. friendly people. Only went for the Saturday Pilates class, which was fantastic as usually go to the South Kensington branch, but defo recommend.

  • Blue Sky

I had a difficulty using my PIN number for getting into the gym and the manager Mr Eduardo was very helpful and did his best to reset my pin and fix the issue.

  • russellarathoon

Really lovely gym. Staff are friendly & the manager is always around tidying the weights & making sure it is well run. Would definitely recommend.

  • Henare Mihaere

Fantastic gym. Staff are friendly and helpful, and the equipment is kept in great condition. Facilities and the workout areas are always clean.

  • Renata Araujo

I am more than happy to be a PureGym member! #puregymfulham ❤️ I love to join the classes in the Studio. I highly recommend it! …

  • Anonymous User

Come here so often that I know the trainers and management pretty well! Love the classes. Only downside is it can get cramped when it's busy.

  • ZeeZee Hr

Friendly staff who were happy to help with equipment I was unsure about. Clean and lots of social distancing measures have been put in place.

  • jehan ahmad

The gym is fully equipped with all the machines that you would need. Also the staff are really friendly and I enjoy the gym classes alot.

  • K

Quite nice gym. A bit smaller than Hammersmith but the ony one minus is opening hours. It would be amazing if could be 24h open.

  • David Johnston

Decent gym .. very clean staff are always cleaning the place Friendly manager It's my local gym now and I would recommend it

  • Afrim Alfie

Highly recommend this gym. Very very professional and friendly staff. Equipments are perfect, I do love spinning classes. 5*

  • Paulo Andrade

It’s a good gym - very clean - nice staff - my only gripe is that it can get very busy. But it’s very good value for money.

  • Purko Seasick

One of their Personal Trainers Jermaine Gustavr is posting disrespectful things about the Islamic Propher Muhammad PBUH

  • Danielle Gibbs

Great gym! Love coming here to train! Jermaine, Jamal and rest of the team are amazing, friendly and very helpful!

  • Lewis Maberly

Good modern gym, with lots of benches and racks. lacking a few minor bits of equipment that you'd normally expect.

  • OLA OSTROVSKA

Fine place , but I didn't find where to buy protein shakes , because some others pure gyms have it in fridges

  • junior warlord

I went because my usual gym closes early on the weekends, used a day pass and have to say it's actually ok,

  • MrTibbs

It's smaller than a lot of other PureGyms, but very comfortable, especially for an early morning workout.

Such a great gym and helpful staff. Excellent value for money and ideal for all fitness levels :)

Not very big but has good range of equipment. Gets busy sometimes but nice and clean.

Buen gimnasio pero hay mucha gente en todo momento. Y ninguna medida de desinfección
