Very rude and unprofessional owner/staff! I had ordered a Samosa and Chettinad Chicken. The chicken was very delicious. It was beyond tasty. However, the samosas were nowhere close to an actual samosa. A samosa is supposed to have a crunchy covering on the outside and flavorful potato mixture on the inside. These samosas were soggy, bland from outside and bland chunks of potatoes on the inside. It was more like a poori stuffed with potato. When I politely asked him to take the samosa back because it was not a samosa, the owner (Rajan) seemed quite annoyed, as if it hurt his prestige. Later at the billing when I went happily to praise the yummy chicken dish he just banged the POS machine towards me and said that nobody has complained about his food in the last 20 years. And then he started creating a scene. He didn't even let me speak or share my good feedback about the other dish. Well, quite a rude person who is not willing to take criticism. After I left the restaurant, I checked the reviews and found that it has a lot of positive reviews online. However, I noticed that most of the reviews are from those customer who belong to non-Indian heritage. So, 1. I understand that not many people would know how an actual Samosa would taste. 2. Those reviews talk about naan and chicken based dishes which I agree are tasty. Nobody has provided a review on samosa. Not a good experience at all. One should be ready to accept both good and bad feedback in a positive manner.

If you're looking for a truly incredible dining experience, look no further than Raj Indian Restaurant in Jindalee. I recently had the pleasure of dining there, and I can confidently say that it deserves a solid five stars. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the restaurant's elegant decor and warm, inviting atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making me feel right at home. But of course, the real star of the show was the food. Every dish was bursting with flavor and expertly prepared with the freshest ingredients. I highly recommend trying the butter chicken and the lamb vindaloo - both were absolute showstoppers. One thing that really stood out to me about Raj Indian Restaurant was the attention to detail in every dish. It's clear that the chefs take great pride in their work, and it definitely shows in the quality of the food. And let's not forget about the drinks - the mango lassi was the perfect complement to my meal, and the wine list was impressive as well. Overall, I can't recommend Raj Indian Restaurant enough. If you're in the mood for some delicious Indian cuisine and exceptional service, you simply have to check this place out. And if you're like me, you'll be planning your next visit before you've even left the restaurant

Bland, tasteless mush. I may have a westerners palette but I at least have tastebuds. I ate the paneer butter masala which despite its name was 90% potato. The potato didn’t do the dish any favours either as they were so over cooked that the potatoes had turned to mush and thickened the curry to the point where it was almost a paste and a flavourless one at best. Imagine eating orange coloured instant mashed potatoes with a hint of ginger. Also ordered was a Butter Chicken which had more flavour (much more than the paneer) but was still very bland. The naan was supposed to be cheese and garlic but was really just a warm, bland, chewy and soggy pancake with a sprinkle or garlic I could see but not taste. No cheese in sight. The only good thing I can say about the order was that the rice was included (something that isn’t uncommon, however not all restaurants do it). They couldn’t even get that right though as the rice was brightly dyed orange and they only provided one per order, not curry. Even if you order 4 curries, you only get one rice.

It was many years of trying to find an Indian restaurant that made vindaloo the way it is sopposed to be. Finally I've found it! Not only do they make my favourite dish perfectly they make everything so good you will want to come back every night bc it tastes that good. The owner Raja looks after his loyal customers and you feel that you are truly valued as their customer. He will make your food exactly as you request it. I always get mine extra I cannot recommend them enough and hope they are here for many years to come.

Excellent and authentic Indian food with true flavours. I've been to a few and omg this is the best. The butter chicken especially is true to its flavours compared to many restaurants I've been to in the western suburbs and not too sweet like other restaurants. You won't be disappointed in flavours! This is my go to Indian restaurant everytime. People who complained about the butter chicken obviously don't know their flavours because they prefer the sickly sweet butter chicken from other restaurants. Not for me, Rajah is the best!

So nice to visit this beautiful restaurant... When we visited, it was just after the rain... outside was in perfect stillness with the sound of the birds. Inside the shop was warm and comfortable, smelling the delicious foods and we could see the beautiful chefs in the back as they cooked. Such kindness, and quick service... Food was awesome ! Not too spicy, but fulfilling and nourishing ... We took home the leftovers to our housemates and they were very happy

I said to my partner after I finished my meal... "You can taste the love and years of experience behind this style of cooking" Whoever is cooking has got skill and years of experience or they've learnt through generations. Tonight I feel as though I have had my first taste of true Indian Food. The flavours, textures, juicy meats and generous vegetables were mouth watering. It was hard to not eat all of the food we ordered. I will be back again, thank you.

  • Jackso Poli

Asked for 3 naans no butter on the phone order. He stated okay. Arrived presented me with the Naans asked if no butter on them. He shrugged and said its okay. I had to say no. To which he replied it's fine I put a bit of butter of them no? I had to yet again tell him no. Then he asked me to pay, while he asked someone in the back to remake them. Won't be back. Dangerous for anyone with serious allergies if they don't take orders seriously.

I haven't eaten here in over a year as when i did last it was pretty bad so things may have improved....however when i did eat here it took 20mins longer than my quoted time and the butter chicken consisted of a heap of sauce and only a few small pieces of chicken :( Not worth the high price i paid and from now i eat Indian at A Night in India in Toowong which is cheaper, also they don't hold back with the meat in their curries!

  • Palanichamy Thevar

Unbelievable. The food here is incredible. Each dish is made with passion and is truly authentic. The butter chicken, naan, and the lamb curries were all exceptional and amazing. My kids loved it. Probably one of the best traditional restaurants in Brisbane. I would definitely recommend people to come whether if it’s to dine in or takeaway. It is truly worth it!

Really enjoyed our time here. Family run restaurant. The food is all made at the restaurant. Very fresh ingredients. Beef Vindaloo, Lamb Biryani, vegetable Madras, naan bread, Mango lassi, rice. It tasted beautiful. Spices, herbs and meats all melded into tantalising flavours. It's BYO. I believe currently looking for staff.

Such outstanding curries & breads. Most of the dishes are well thought out and so well spiced. Veg and fish dishes are a hidden gem. As are the breads. Lamb is their meat dish to go for. Chicken and beef dishes are competent but not the best. Except tandoori chicken which is fantastic. For a 2 day cheap feed go Dahl Masala + naan (of your choice).

  • Patrick Trowse

The food was fantastic and rice comes complimentary with a large order! I asked for a recommendation for my children and the veg Korma they suggested went down a treat with the whole family. Friendly service with a smile. Thanks. We'll be back for sure.

  • Erik

Great little, family owned restaurant. The food, panner lajawab and vege korma, was delicious. The staff are super friendly and welcoming. The bottle shop next door is very convenient too. I'll definitely eat here again when in this part of town.

  • Chrissie_ann G

First time customers . Ordered a takeaway paneer korma curry (chef special). The curry has more potatoes in it than paneer. For the exorbitant price of $15.50 , there was about 50 percent potato. Please up your game guys , and we may come back.

  • Tony Zahn

Good staff that no how to down your menu and delivery to your home in time ,the food is out standing , i will tell all my friends about the service that they will by placing they order at raja Indian restaurant at noosa ville on Thomas st .

  • Huong Nguyen

Great little local indian restaurant. One of the best Naans that our family loves, especially the kids. Generous servings of curry per order and free rice. The staff are absolutely lovely. Highly recommended and well priced for good value.

  • Jason Corbett

First time I’ve ever bothered giving a review for anything. That’s how much I love the Chicken Kadai here. If you like the sound of spicy soft chicken in saucy capsicum, onions and other goodness then I highly recommend this dish.

  • Ace Wheadon

Food was fantastic. Quick service and freindly staff. Small Resteraunt but very rustic and great atmosphere for a casual dinner with friends or a partner. BYO drinks with a bottleO next door for convenience. Will be going back.

  • Phil Hayse

So food arrived over 2.5 hours late and the entire order was wrong. Wrong chicken, wrong rice, wrong sauce, missing drinks and another missing dish then after all that still had to pay full price!!! Absolute joke!! …

  • Roberto Pestana

I am very disappointed with my takeaway order tonight. Both mine and my partners curries were flavourless, with no spice, and I ordered my butter chicken spicy, yet there was no spice at all. It tasted like baby

  • Jessica Corsbie

Awesome selection of curries made authentically. If you ask for 'hot', you actually do get hot, which not enough places do. Right next to a BWS too, so it's worth picking up a few beers to compliment/cool.

  • Jo Woo

Thankyou Rajahs for another delicious takeaway, this time the Lamb Roganjosh was our favorite. The kids loved the Butter Chicken and the vegetarian was very happy with spinach Paneer and vege Korma.

  • Jaime Smith

I love Indian food and have been in Brisbane for two and a half years and can honestly say I haven't found one better! Everything I have ordered has been delicious. Great service too :)

  • Ben Power

Oh I love this place. They do a lamb vindaloo that is simply amazing, and goes perfectly with the paneer spinach dish. The staff look like they're all family and know their stuff. Yum!

  • Kellie Jennison

Ordered mango chicken and lamb korma couldn’t tell the difference wxcept one was lamb and one was chicken. Sauces tasted the same

The naan is cold and burnt, the butter chicken is watery, the rice overcooked and the special calamary korma does not even look like korma. It is ok but we are not running back

  • Janine Craven

Don’t use Ozfood to order. Owner hung up the phone on me as I tried to confirm my order. Extremely rude. Yes I got my food but was not without a quarrel…

  • Jacob Hodges

Easily the best Indian I have ever had! On more than one occasion I have met people at Raja who have traveled across the city to get their amazing food.

  • Ldn Bne

Great food, good value. Had the mixed tandoori and peshwari naan which was good along with lamb and beef curries. Small but friendly quick service. More

  • Carly Nzvimbo

Lovely service. But butter chicken was bland and the naan was burnt (literally black in places) and stiff. Didn't finish the meal - won't be going back.
