When I tell you I never have had my hair done so poorly in my life. I’ve been a client of Stephen for some time, but this latest “cut” for which I was charged $90 was unbelievable. I came in the salon with a full head of hair that was severely matted. I sat in Steven’s chair and he said “my professional opinion is to cut it” after he realized how much time it would take to detangle my hair. He proceeded to cut ALL of my hair off. I was ok with that, as I said just go ahead and cut it if that is what is needed. It’s the “cut” that left me speechless. He hacked off my hair with scissors and an electric blade and did not even even the hair out. I was in tears and when I saw the final result of my hair, I just wanted to run out of the salon. I was TRAUMATIZED to say the least. The hair “cut” is horrible. I have patches of chemically treated hair still on the top of my head, and certain parts are longer than others. The real crime was the $90 price tag. I sent an email to the salon about a refund and received no response. I am traumatized and am praying that no one else has my experience with a big chop, because that was not the way to go. The sad thing is, I had to go to another salon to have my hair properly cared for. Not even worth going back and receiving that subpar service for such a high bill.

I have been going to Evan for a haircut since I moved to DC in 2018; I am originally from Baltimore and while on the hunt for a good salon, I made the trek to Randolph Cree in DC in 2013 and had a great cut by Evan then as well. The only reason I didn’t stick with him then is because the travel to DC was tough on my one coveted weekday off I had with my work schedule, so when I moved to DC I was so excited to be able to make Randolph Cree my new home salon. I recently got a Balayage color by Ana as well, and it is beyond beautiful. She listened intently and the results were better than expected. I haven’t colored my hair in many years because I do love my natural color, but the Balayage she did looks like my natural hair with more sparkle. Evan always does an incredible job with the cut; I cannot recommend this salon enough!

I have been to this salon three times. The first experience was unpleasant due to comments from the stylist that made me feel uncomfortable. The second time, however, I had a much more positive experience with a different stylist and this prompted me to return for the third time. Unfortunately, the third time ended up being a repeat of the first - I felt very uncomfortable throughout the appointment again because of the way I was spoken to, and also found the stylist to be rough with my hair and head despite my visible discomfort. Its a shame because I really wanted to like this salon since it is a local business and I have had one really positive experience there. However, after this most recent appointment I don’t think I will return.

Great experience getting my first haircut since the pandemic started. Ana did an amazing job and I really appreciated how much care she and her colleagues took to create a safe environment. Everyone wore masks, a temperature check on the way in, hand sanitizer, etc. I had badly butchered my hair cutting it myself for months and Ana not only fixed it, it was the best cut I've had in years.

I went to Connie for a first cut recently and was thrilled with the results. My hair was a disaster - in part because it just is, but also because the last cut I had was pretty terrible. Connie talked with me for a while to understand what I didn't like about my last cut, and look at some pictures of hair cuts I liked. She totally NAILED it. My hair looks so much better. I'll be back!!!!

Rude service, I walked in when they had an open door and open sign up 42 minutes before their posted business closing time. They said “oh we’re actually closed” and just looked at me like I was crazy for being there and made the whole situation awkward. I politely wished them a good day and walked out as they just kind of stared at me. I did not feel welcome.

Just had my hair cut with Connie and it was fantastic. She's such a warm, friendly person and was very attentive to details and what I wanted. I have a kind of edgier short haircut and she did a great job and was really excited about it and giving color ideas which was fun as well! Definitely going back!

Connie was a delight to work with. She listened to what I’ve been doing with my hair color and cut, and she stepped in seamlessly, asking all the right questions. The salon itself is comfortable and clean, with lots of natural light and friendly staff.

I love this salon. The staff are very friendly and make you feel comfortable and welcome as soon as you enter the salon. Stephen is my stylist. He does an amazing job on my hair every visit. I feel like a million bucks! Thank you!!!

Stephen Bridges is phenomenal. Extensive knowledge of hair types and colors. His color and cuts will have your coworkers trying to copy your style...they hate mecause Stephen Bridges slays my curly locks. …

I got a great haircut from Ana. She was incredibly sweet and took the time to listen to what I wanted. Thanks Ana! They took my temperature at the door and gave me hand sanitizer.

I visit Connie every two weeks for color I love her and the overall service of the staff. Ample Parking for DC also available across the street and around the corner.

Probably the worst salon I’ve ever been to. Was charged quit a bit, but my blowout lasted only a day. Checkout took like what seemed to be forever.
