If I could provide ZERO stars, I would. I went to this clinic because it was close to my house & I figured why not try a new clinic - for convenience. The receptionist was amazing! I talked with her several times over the course of a few days, and she knew her job - I scheduled 3 appointments for my 3 dogs. For the first appointment, I took my Great Dane in to see them for a skin infection and nail trim. His appointment was at 945am. The tech was ok - she halfway listened to what we had to say. The DVM, however, was less than ok. She came in and wanted to talk about things not related to the visit, she tried to proceed with doing testing that I had not yet approved. She spoke to us as if we were simpletons and did not know anything about pets, then she had the tech bring in an estimate that was well over $1000 as if we were going to willingly approve for an estimate that had other things on it not related to our vet visit. After she left out the room, she had the tech come ask what I did for work, because I was too "knowledgeable" about the vet field - of course, me having worked as an LVT for over 10 years, and them finding this out made them change their tune almost instantly. Now, 2 hours later, we are finally able to be checked out - we never received the results of his skin impressions - the doctor, nor the tech ever went over them. We checked out, and still had to wait an additional 15 minutes for our medications - which were gone over by someone completely different. When we got home, my wife started the medications as they were prescribed on the label. Later that night, my dog became ill and got progressively worse over night. I called the clinic to follow up, because on my end, looking at the medications, my dog was being overdosed. I spoke to a technician at about 920 the next morning, and was assured that I would be called back before they went to lunch. Around noon, I had not yet heard back so I called again. The tech rambled off about how I just needed to stop the medications and then they would refill some more because he was maybe having a reaction to the antibiotics. At this point, I am upset because this is not right - my dog does not become lethargic, have vomiting, and bloody diarrhea just form a simple reaction. I asked to speak with the DVM. The DVM (who was completely different from the one who saw my pet), got my information, and came back with "your pet has received an extremely high dose of the medication. you need to take him to an emergency clinic now...not an urgent care, not our clinic, but a 24 hour emergency clinic." Of course I took my dog - I called back to speak to the practice manager about getting a refund on my vet visit, and have not yet heard from them. The DVM offered to see my dog back there, but at this point I trust none of their competencies -so I declined to bring my dog back. I have called, left messages, and e-mailed the clinic to get a call back from either the practice manager or the owner, and as of yet I have not heard anything. However, the do still manage to e-mail about appointment reminders, which I have told them on several times to cancel any and all appointments for my for my pets. At this point, legal actions are going to ensue, because the care my dog received was unacceptable, and the fact that there have been no follow up calls since the incident show that they do not care. I would NEVER bring my pets back to this clinic, and would advise anyone else to go ELSEWHERE!

They've definitely changed a lot from the days of being in the trailer in front of Spec's. Back then the goal was simple - help animals at a reasonable cost. No frills. No games. Over time we've noticed the prices go way up and also the tack-ons. They helped us administer hospice care to our late pup last year, but even then, they would only give us like 7-10 days of meds at a time, and we kept having to come back in for more "check-ups" (yep, my dog is still dying, just needs to not hurt in the process). Now today we went in for our other dog who is showing signs of aging pain. We are the owners and know she doesn't have any other symptoms than age related pain. No recent injuries, etc. Instead of just discussing a protocol to keep her comfortable moving forward, again they wanted to do a dull check up, labs, x-rays, etc. Not needed. Nothing is broken. Just help me keep my dog comfortable. She's old. Simple. Their prices for pain meds are also insane, and they don't readily give you the prescriptions so you can price shop around. Today was the last straw. I came in with my large dog, 4 year old, AND newborn twins. I was juggling a lot, to say the least. They were running late and instead of prioritizing a 5 minute talk with me, they offered to let her stay there for several hours so they could do a full mark-up of however many services they could think of, but of course I would have the option to "decline" (which in their practice means I might get my dog 5 days of meds and have to keep coming back). Not to mention re-loading up all my kids twice and going in and out of the facility again to fetch my dog, do the appointment they should have prioritized on time, and pay an astronomical bill. We are taking our family's business to Stella Link clinic down the road. Their exam fees are very slightly higher, but they don't nickle and dime you, so it ends up being cheaper. They also helped our 3rd elderly dog once he started showing signs of arthritis with very long term prescriptions that lasted months and we didn't have to keep coming back in just to keep him out of pain. They KNEW my dog was in pain and I had two infants with me, yet wanted to prioritize being able to offer a whole host of services instead of just talking to me first and realizing none of that was necessary. The tech also acted really weird around my dog. Wouldn't even walk in the door and my dog was showing absolutely zero signs of aggression or discomfort. The opposite in fact.

Always have to wait at least 15 minutes before we can get into a room where we wait yet another 10-15 minutes. The receptionists are always nice and professional but I didn't care for the nurses or vets. They put my puppy on 3 different kinds of ear drops which never cleared his infection and then told me he probably has parasites. They suggested I take home prevention medication for him before even taking his stool to the lab for testing. I also asked about his eye odor and they didn't examine him or give me a straight answer as to why it may be occurring. Just convinced me i needed to buy the eye ointment they prescribed. Every time i have turned down suggestions from the vet named Danielle Maislos, they attempt to sell me on something else before guilt tripping that he absolutely needs it. I don't care for her lack of examination on my dog as that is what I pay for every time and the lack of professionalism. She seems to have an attitude when I say no thank you. I finally went to another clinic today where they concluded it was allergies and not parasites, which mind you, I've ordered prevention for and have kept my puppy on. In fact, I ordered it from Ready Pet's pharmacy!

Fair prices compared to other vets in the area, as someone who worked for banfield pet hospital I can say the quality of care is 1000% better here. You’re allowed in the room with your pet which is very comforting. You can tell from the receptionist to the techs and doctors that they actually care about their clients. Just because a place is more expensive does not mean it’s a better place for your animals. When I worked at banfield , even with my employee discount a skin scrape was 89$ plus an 60$ office visit fee and 90$ medicines needed after for treatment. I paid about 40$ for a skin scrape here 40$ for a office visit and 30$ for the meds, and on top of that I get to be with my animals in the room and the doctors and tech are magnificent. I’d like to give a special shout-out specifically to the receptionist Andrea, the tech I forgot her name but man is she awesome, and of course the Doctor, Dr Maislos !

1st time there and the customer service I received was beyond my expectations. The front desk girl was extremely courteous and made me feel very comfortable in regards to seeing my foster dog in a short period of time, we waited in our vehicle and the nurse came to run test without having to get out of our car. The whole staff and doctor where very nice and answered all my questions in a timely manner without rushing my visit. I will definitely come back to this place for my other fosters and will recommend to anyone who is on a budget and looking to get your pet vaccines or just routine checks or anything else. I would advise anyone to call ahead of time for emergencies, they also have walk ins on Saturday, again ... i would give them a call ahead of time just to check how busy they're.

The front desk/office manager Andrea & vet tech are absolutely awesome! The vet isn't anything like the staff. He is very cold and consistently tried to say my place of dwelling has fleas and that's why my dog has a hematoma on his ear My dogs ears were healthy. Normal wax accumulation, overall he is healthy. Now I live next door to the facility I don't know if its bc the apt complex looks older on the outside but these apts are very nice. Well kept and quiet. Needless to say, I won't bother wasting my time or money...I see them daily as I walk my dog 2 to 4 times a day. So they the staff knows me. No fleas in my apartment. So I'll just get a 2nd opinion....btw..here is a glimpse of my place...

So we got there on time to our appointment, even then it took them about an hour and twenty minutes to see our animals, and we didn’t really get a proper explanation. The tech made one of us cut half of one of our cats nails, and for the other half made one of us hold her. And they still charged us full price for it. If your short staffed we understand, however in that case it would be better to call the client before hand to possibly reschedule. Not only this but we were charged other unnecessary costs. I definitely would neither recommend nor come here again.

I have been coming to Ready Pet since 2017 back when they were in a trailer. I was recommended by the shelter I adopted my puppy from, Houston Pets Alive, and have recommended this place to everyone since! The pricing is so reasonable, I convinced my fiancé to start going here as well since every vet visit at VCA-Spring branch was over $400 each time! We just adopted a new puppy and this of course is our vet. They are a little hard to get on the phone and the wait is sometimes long, but it’s definitely worth it.

My husband and I brought Pikachu and Callie here on a budget but also loving our fur kids like real kids. Callie decided to go from a sweet kitty in the exam room to Cujo Callie in the back, but they gave us some Gabapentin to calm her down and had us bring her back for a better experience. Pikachu had a UTI and requires some follow-up testing for something else which will hopefully be nothing. Everyone is super nice and prices are allowing us to thoroughly check all our fur kids out!

Brought all my pets here for vaccines and check ups. I loved them! The ladies working there are so sweet and were very gentle with my dogs especially my deaf one! The Dr. is very compassionate and informative. One of my dogs has cancer and they have emailed several times just to check on her. I myself worked in vet clinics for 24 years and I was very impressed with all of them! I will definitely miss them since I’m moving to Florida. Thank you all the care you’ve given my animals!

I waited a little while before being seen my last visit but that is whatever. However, I really appreciate this vet. My dog has some recurring and persistent skin issues. This vet was straight and to the point in giving the treatment my dog needs and did a great job explaining possible causes for her issues. In the past I’ve had vets give me the run around for months telling me to try fish oil and using anti itch shampoo before even doing a skin cytology.

Everything about my experience exceeded my expectations! Andrea is so kind and obviously cares about every animal that comes through the door. My cat can be QUITE a drama queen and gets extremely loud around strangers - the whole team did a great job with her and kept her and me much calmer than I'm used to : ) The vet also kept me feeling informed and shared details in a way that was easy to understand, which I truly appreciated.

It was our first time here. Went in as a walk-in for our 2 sick cats. It was about an hour wait, but the staff were very accommodating. We were able to wait in our car and they called us as soon as it was our turn. Super friendly staff and vet techs and it was nice to see a friendly face when the vet walked since we knew her from another good clinic. Will definitely return!

  • Lilliana

The front staff and tech staff in general is pretty nice. However, my first visit I felt downright bullied by the vet, and the second visit, I was upsold to more than I was talking about my actual dog it felt like. The prices are VERY high compared to vets in the area, including the mobile vet. If you're shopping for a new vet, I reccommed you keep looking.

Instead of addressing real issues their customers have they focus on writing petty responses that only address what they’d like. What kind of pet care business responds to a finding of allergies versus actual parasites by blaming it on the client’s lack of “follow up” versus blaming it on their lack of proper testing prior to diagnosis.

I took 3 puppies I found to Safe Haven for a parvo test I and was met with a rude receptionist asking me to pay $300 per puppy. I left and went to Ready Pet and had such an incredible experience, I am SO happy I found them. Thank you all for taking time out to not only squeeze me in but to see and care for the puppy so graciously.

  • Cody Wayne

We come here because they typically can do spay/neuter sooner than other clinics but it's definitely not our go to veterinary practice. The vet here does alot of up-selling services which I'm not a huge fan of. That being said they are great when you have a kitty that needs to be neutered and don't want to wait a month or longer!

  • Paris Aaron

Long story short not only are they very affordable, they went to bat for me when I had issues with getting a prescription filled by Chewy. I never feel like they are trying to gouge me for money and more importantly they show my dog so much affection. Thank you Ready Pet and bigger thank you to Mallory and Katy!

  • Karen “The Little Drummer Girl” Hartley

I took my sweet Chester CheezCat to Ready Pet for his neuter. They did such a wonderful job and took such good care of him. My old vet closed down and I have another kitty who hasn't been to see the vet in awhile so I'll be taking him over too. I'm so very glad I found this place. They are wonderful and caring.

  • Emerie F

So in love with this place! They helped our pup through his final months with grace and dignity. Showed us so much genuine compassion and provided excellent medical advice and care. We will never go anywhere else so long as we live in Houston. And the prices can't be beat!

  • Danielle Carlson

I have known Andrea since her days at Houston Pets Alive. She is a passionate animal advocate who has built a wonderful clinic from the ground up, and I have had 2 pets as patients at Ready Pet. The staff are loving and kind. Thank you guys for all that you do!

  • Reza R

This clinic is legit! Staff are friendly, caring and knowledgeable! Their turn around time is quick and their prices are reasonable! I drive over 8 miles to take my dog there while there are more than 5 pet clinics around me. Ask for Dr. Maislos or Andrea!

  • Teresa Jones

This was our first visit with our fur baby Starr. She let everyone touch her when at the other vet she almost bit and growled at everyone. Staff here was so informative and so friendly. I believe we found our veterinarian. Thanks for taking care of her.

  • Jess M

I took my pets to Ready Pet based off a recommendation from others in Facebook group. I am new to the area and wanted to get my pets in for a check-up. The staff were knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient.

  • Joel Sneed

Dr. Maislos and staff are excellent-- professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. The exam we received was thorough and all of our questions were answered. Our new puppy loved his first visit to the vet!

  • Tiffanee Davis

Absolutely love this place. Staff are friendly caring and actually love animals. They quote you the same prices you pay. Everything is affordable and convenient. Definitely a hidden gem.

  • Keith Kendrick

They was very quick and tentative to my baby dog's needs. Little is doing much better but not 100% yet. Can't wait for her to be able to walk with the splint on.

  • Mike O'Dell

Andrea is the best ...she cares about your pets because she loves them to begin with! Thank you for all the love and personal care. …

  • Debra Dluhy

We love ReadyPet! We take our three dogs there and have experienced exceptional care for them. The prices are very competitive too!

  • Ana Carvallo
