My shopping experience was pretty good until I got to the self checkout. This is the first time I've used it this checkout since Superstore became all about the rules and not about the customer. I didn't have my PC Optimum card with me. I had 25 emails in my Gmail saying hello Leslie! on them, but that just doesn't work. I had neglected to add my phone number to that point. The manager actually said to me "how do we know who you are!" My next complaint is that the "managers" they call when there is a customer inquiry don't have any power. At Co-op or probably any other store, a manager can input the real price of the product and the customer goes on their merry way. At Superstore you only get a "no" answer because they don't have the power to input the real price. The "manager" told me to pay full price for everything then go to customer service and they would sort everything out. I was then advised by customer service that I actually have to do all my own pricing work on the app before I come to the store!! If the item isn't in my app, then I don't get the price? What kind of a deal is that! Hopefully I misunderstood that, because any other store computer will adjust the price automatically. Who knows if I misunderstood all that, but I had to go home and come back and I told them I now had my card with me and could they go through the bill and save me my money and they said "who told you that!" Now that I'm thoroughly confused, I have to say, I will never be back to Superstore and I won't regret it one little bit. Their prices aren't any better than any other store and I find them to be very rigid in their welcoming of the customer.

The store is well lit and clean. About twenty five percent of the staff are friendly and helpful. If you ask where something is, they will walk you close to where the item is. Fifty percent of the staff does not know where the items you are looking for are located. The last twenty five percent of the staff are not happy to be there. If you ask about a certain item thats seems to sold out of they don't care to respond. They either say it is sold out and leave or the store was shorted and more will in tomorrow and leave quickly again. I have gone back the next day on many occasions, only to be told they were shorted again and will get it tomorrow. I have learned to check with the information desk on these products. Where I am told they are unsure if these items will be in this week or don't expect them at all. These have being our experiences at this store since it has opened.

Fire the bakery manager Tam. If I go in a store and ask to buy a clam shell container from bakery, I don't deserve to get my head taken off by an insecure little man. A simple "no, we don't sell those" would be nice. Had to involve the store manager who said "sure". Then the manager of bakery went at yelled at his poor staff member IN FRONT OF CUSTUMERS for doing exactly what the store manager did. If I was working there my response would get me fired. I would NEVER let another person treat me the way that little runt treats his staff. I was disgusted. If the store manager knows about this kind of abuse, he is worse than the angry little fellow in bakery.

I have been going to this store to shop for years. Recently my schedule has changed so I’ve been using the express pick up. This week I had a fairly small order which I could have done myself in a matter of 20-30 minutes. I sat in the express pick up parking lot for over 40 minutes before my order was delivered. To top off the frustration once I got home, I noticed I’ve got the most pale tasteless watermelon I’ve ever had in my life. If this is going to be the express experience, you shouldn’t charge any fees for it because it was anything but convenient

Poor customer service and accountability. I had placed an online order and noticed I was given cheese with significant mild growth. When I called regarding this, I was questioned weather or not it was indeed cheese. Forcing me to return the cheese directly to the manager. I was offered a refund and nothing else. I felt giving customers moldy products would warrant more than a refund. Which after two weeks I still haven’t received. There are plenty of other option for grocery pick up services. Would not recommend superstore.

I am surprised at how people can shove items in their tote bags in the store and/or casually walk through the self-checkout to the door with a cart full of tote bags filled with groceries without paying. Today, January 2, I've seen people doing the first and most surpisingly from 2:00 to 2:10 pm, we saw a lady doing the latter (full cart). Soon as she’s out, mask off. The self-checkout staff were too busy to catch on. Maybe throw in some more staff or security? Just a thought.

Great for convenience, especially if you live downtown. I'd say you can find basically anything you're looking for (just food specifically, there is no clothing department etc.) but your options for some items are a bit limited. There is plenty of parking space in the parkade (free for customers) and it's never been insanely busy when I've shopped. Would recommend if you live nearby, but if there is a larger grocery store near you, definitely go to that location instead.

The bathrooms in this place are absolutely disgusting. Smells strongly of piss. The locks on the doors are barely holding on. A disgusting mess inside too. For over a decade now they barely keep up with good self check out practices and never position the paypad in a way you can angle it up or down so you can't read it without bending over. Lots of things that need improvement.

Best location, my favourite Superstore. Cashiers are all warm and friendly. Everything is always very well organized and stocked. The produce section is my favourite, always fresh. Very spacious inside, clean and bright. The cosmetics section is a bit messy though.

It used to be one of my favorite places. But last few times it didn't make me happy as a regular customer. Many times they were out of stock of common goods and almost always out of stock for promotional items. It was not like this before;

The food is always out of stock. It's busy every day of the week. The food is also not fresh at all. I bought a sweet potato, and it didn't even last a week in the pantry. Also, green peppers don't last 5 days in the fridge, and lettuce

Found everything I needed - usually quite well stocked. Was impressed with the prices of the bulk section at the back of the produce. Only had 3 lanes open on a Thursday night though so waiting for checkout took awhile.

I’ve been going to this superstore as my number one grocery store choice for over a year. Staff has always been great so had no complaints against them. Prices are getting a bit outrageous as of late.

I've had pretty good experiences. Staff are friendly and produce is fresh and it always seems well stocked. The clothes section is minimal but over all clean place and lots of food options

This superstore is convenient for me to pop in after work or during lunch. It is a little busier but I usually find all the products that I need. Parking is easy and never an issue.

Not as inexpensive as one would think. Really need to pay attention to weekly specials and watch the pricing on products. They move things around so as to confuse one...

Disappointing experience, as others have noted. The store is quite dirty, and of much lower quality than any other Superstore I have visited.
