I was visiting Chicago for my birthday and wanted to find a Steppers class followed by a set while I was there. On a Monday evening, I found Reynolds Lounge and decided to go. I was expecting a different instructor, according to the website I looked up, but was very happy with the group of Steppers I ran into, Celebrity Steppers. One of the instructors, Rick, put my daughter and myself through some drills and he got right to it! After about 30 minutes the set started and more Steppers began to show up. The people were really nice and the bartender was politely sassy. The drinks are a little on high side, but Ms. LayLay makes them pretty with plenty of garnishments. The atmosphere was comfortable and DJ Rub was playing nice music. Ms. Cyn of Celebrity Steppers was very inviting and encouraging; I had a great time! Be careful of the floor by the front door! It is purposely uneven and if not paying attention one could fall. I plan to visit again when I go back to Chicago.

The main reason I’m giving 3 stars is because the bartenders are kinda rude. The man in the back didn’t want to take my order because he said he was about to leave but still took other peoples order for the next 30-40 minutes. The front bartender was dancing on a man that was sitting at the bar I waited patiently until I said can I order a drink. When she replied oh I didn’t know you wanted one” ma’am I’m not standing here to watch you dance on this man this is a bar right. My only problem with south side bars is I get it you have regulars but if you want more people to become regulars treat people you never seen before with kindness “Duh” as a bartender I know why places like this do have small crowds sometimes no one wants to be skipped over to when they trying to spend money in an establishment.

This place gets plenty of revenue to not have a cleaner bathroom with tissue... atleast every once in a while have someone to come pick up the extra bottles, glasses, etc. off of the tables, especially when they have a big crowd like a party and these people are spending alot of money. The table and chairs aren't stable and due to the dark lighting you can't tell where it is safe to sit. If I was having a party there the 2 things that I would appreciate is the space in the front and back both areas have a bar to be able to invite a nice amount of people as well as the dance floor. As far as the dance floor, I could not appreciate the heat being on while we were already working up heat on the dance floor, at the least not have it up so high. To end this review I would say that the music was great.

If you're the type of person who likes to go out, but doesn't want to be around the hype crowd with all the extra yelling and activity and possible danger, go to Reynolds lounge, everyone is mature, laid back and super funny. the lounge basically keeps everything private, it's not a crowd outside they have a backyard to where you can relax in privacy, family oriented demeanors, employees are super cool and laid back. I've been to different lounges and bars I highly recommend Reynolds Lounge, because of the maturity and the security that they provide, I guarantee you a safe and fun night as well as making it home in one piece without one lick of drama.

Always a great time at this place! Good music, good people. Check it out sometime. Tuesday night is house night.

I like that it's a front and back bar... And I absolutely love the enclosed patio, it's secure and safe, they also have a parking lot. I'll definitely return back to this location..

Lofty sports bar feel. Great place to unwind on a Tuesday if you love house music. House heads converge on this bar like kids on a hot summers day to the ice cream truck. Nice patio, although very limited seating. Get there early to get a seat. Food truck is good for jerk, it might be there but I suggest you eat first, just in case.

This spot is for the grown-ups. We went there on a Tuesday evening and had a great time and enjoy the house music that they were playing. The drinks were strong and despite the southside of Chicago's violent reputation I felt absolutely safe at this location.

They put something in your drinks. My ma had 1 moscato n they slipped something. Dhe came home that night sick n her mouth was soo dryyyy. Then another tyme my mom friend had the same issue off one drink. Same place. I dont trust this place. Dont go there

The DJ abandoned the bar, so people had to bluetooth music to the speakers to have sounds. Drinks were very high for no real atmosphere. I was very disappointed by Reynolds this past Saturday. Never would have thought they would be so awful...

Reynolds is tuesday house music night. Great energy, great music. The vibe inside of Reynolds makes you feel safe and comfortable to enjoy yourself. It's a must for house heads or anyone who wants to hear great music. FIVE STARS

Had a great time at the mainstay on the Southside if Chicago. Grown Folks Place. Grest atmosphere. Was there for a reception for new members of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc., Epsilon Chi Sigma Graduate Chapter.

I've only been on Tuesday nights for House music and being that I'm a Househead,I think it's just a bit overhyped. Not a bad spot though.Mature atmosphere- mainly 35+ . This joint gets extremely crowded!

Small but quaint bar off beaten path. Great for small gatherings, watching sports, dancing or just enjoying libations. Mondays steppers delight starts at 7pm. Free parking in lot or on street.

This is my stepping joint.....we get down every Monday. Very friendly atmosphere and the guys and ladies are always willing to help you become a better Stepper. A lot of fun nights here.

Great place to get out and hear house music on Tuesdays nights. It's a mature crowd that love house music. Never had a problem in over the five years I've been. Now go get your jack on.
