I have delayed this review hoping they would finally come through for our family because they have been polite through the ordeal, but the time has come to share our experience. We purchased double front doors for our home in October, 2020, we were told of long delays due to the Pandemic and we accepted the terms. Our doors arrived in March, 2021 and we had our trusted contractor install them, we were very excited and everything went smoothly until they got to the step of installing the handle and lock hardware on the new doors. The hole drilled for the locks and handle by Kohltech were out of specification by 3/4 of an inch. Seems like a tiny issue but it makes the hardware hang over the finished panel and just looks awful. Our contractor went back and forth with Richmond BMR for several months and they finally agreed we deserved new doors that were made to the specifications on the quote. New doors were ordered in July, 2021. Our second set of new doors just arrived in December, 2021 and they are exactly the same as the ones that are installed. Wrong specifications.14 months later we still do not have the new doors we paid for in full. I can not stress to enough how frustrating this has been for our family, and Richmond BMR is not pushing this along...I have to email Gord every few weeks to ask for updates. We do not recommend dealing with this company.

I was there today just before 6:00 and was surprised to see so many staff still busy and willing to help. My return/exchange was painless for me. Although it required the younger sales person to look up a couple of things, he did so happily while the other sales person took me directly to what I wanted and carried it back to the cash for me. The selection is exceptional for a small store. I don't mind the few extra pennies on the occasional item as I would spend that in gas going to the next town.

Terrible customer service and support. Furthermore, the owner has no care or concern for the community or supporting other local businesses. He only cares about himself and his bottom line. Terrible example of how an independent retailer should represent such an established Canadian brand with a rich history in supporting small communities and small business owners. Go elsewhere for all your home renovation products and supplies and support other businesses who truly care about their community.

I wish I knew about these guys during the lockdown. Saved the day. Helped us get the items we needed that weren't considered essential (they were very essential to us). No where in South Ottawa can do parcel pickup without wild timelines except this place. We showed up, made our order and it was all very well organized and very safe. Shocking big box stores can't figure this out and these guys did. We'll be sure to support this store after the lockdown.

It is a great store where you can find almost everything you need for home improvement. If nit available in store they can arrange it so you get what you need in several days. We like this store. Everyone is very helpful and friendly. Ask for help and they will find anything you need. Prices are competitive and super convenient location makes this store a place for all Richmond residents. Overall very well managed store. Highly recommend!

A couple months doing landscaping, I was happy to keep coming back, for i quickly learned to trust they cared to deliver quality service. Glenna, Kyle and Jenn always were appropriately friendly, funny and loving because they were helpful, respectful, honest. I accidently damaged their eaves troph with the company truck and they were chill about it to. They're a delightful blessing to do business with, praise Jesus :)

I needed some help to figure out how to move my water taps outside. One of the girls was so helpful. I didnt see a ame tag and forgot to ask her name. I brought one of my dogs with me. Princess. They welcomed her with open arms and fed her cookies. ♡ Even tho they arent home hardware anymore... they are still the same people that love dogs.! :) Thanks for your help!!

I love home hardware, sure they don't have all the stuff as the big box stores but you would be surprised what they do have. You can order almost anything if you're not in a hurry. I especially love their lumber selection. The 1x and 2x boards are not as dry and warped as box stores. Great customer service, friendly staff.

I called the store to place an order on an item and was told that I could only do so in store (30 mins away). A few days after I gave them he full deposit, I get a call that they cannot get the item I ordered despite plenty of nearby BMRs having the item in stock. Great place to go to if you like wasting your time!

The people at this store are nice, but since BMR took over this location, the number and variety of items in the store has dropped dramatically. I have gone in three times in a row and not got what I needed, and had to go to the nearest Home Hardware instead. Twice was.before the pandemic.

This is my local hardware store. Generally has good stock but sometimes an item has to be ordered. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. I shop there first before the big box stores as I want them to be available. Price is second for me compared to availability and knowledge.

Great selection and friendly and helpful staff. If they don't have it in stock, they are ready to assist with delivery from the Home Hardware catalog. The only issue is hours of operation. They need to be longer. Especially in the summer. Otherwise, highly recommended.

Staff always greets you with a hello. If they see you in an aisle, they will ask if u need help. May not be the biggest store, but certainly has a good selection and everything is priced fair to really good. (Depending on what your there for).

They have a surprising selection for a small store. Although they often don't have a pile of options, what they do have is usually a really great product and exactly what I needed. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly.. great store.

We've dealt with Richmond home hardware for a long time. It's the best lumber yard, hardware store in the city. Great service and we definitely recommend them to anyone looking for help with there home repair projects

Was out of stock of literally the 1 size of screw I needed. Made do with a slightly different size, so it's all good. Staff is nice. Small place, but I've never been disappointed.

Always out of stock Today stopped in for road salt and sand was told they had none you would think this is the time of year to stock this is the worst home hardware store ever

Excellent staff and cat is awesome. They're fine with me bringing my dog in so I can shop and get the dogs walk in at the same time.. offer wood cutting services and more.

The owner is a very cruel man. Staff doesnt like to help other then answering one word answers. The staff is more worried about getting their lunch and coffee.
