I find this store to be particularly messy in comparison to the other Rivers stores. I was shocked during my last visit when I came in to buy a pair of boots. The entire woman’s shoe section had all different sizes mixed everywhere. Sale mixed with full price items. Tags fallen off shoes and shoes incorrectly priced. I confronted one of the team members about the mess and asked why the sale items were incorrectly priced. I was told that she along with another team member could not be bothered attaching sale stickers to them. What can I say... LITERALLY SHOCKED. To further that I asked if the team member could help me find a pair of boots in my size. Well could you guess, she couldn’t be bothered... I was told that they had limited stock out the back and it would be unlikely that they had any other sizes. Before leaving the store I asked why she thought it was acceptable to just leave a mess for the customers, I was then told they rarely get pulled up on those sorts of things. Safe to say I won’t be visiting that store anytime soon and if I do go back I’ll be sure to get some pictures!

Bought a pair of boots today. Limited sizes and stock at the moment in boots, probably because there is a sale on. The seat for trying in shoes is at the edge of where the shoes are so not all that convenient. Stock was not as ordered as it could have been but I found something suitable in the end. The shop assistant at the counter was super friendly which was a great end to the visit.

Since the takeover, Rivers has gone on a downhill slide, as far as clothing quality is concerned. All the quality clothing has been removed and replaced with cheap quality clothing sourced from budget Asian shops. Another case of corporate slash and burn.

Great place for bargains brought 3 pairs of shoes for under $100. Now for safety the small mirrors on floor leaning against post is not ideal can be knock over easily & shattered. Consider a risk with young children or anyone about etc.

Great items and realistic prices. The quality is good, not excellent but then you are only paying a fraction of the price that you would pay elsewhere . I'm hard on shoes so I'm happy with $60 even if they are finished in 12 months.

Most Rivers stores suffer from the same disorganised state and Somerville is no different. They are lucky that their stock, prices and more importantly their staff are all good value.

Rivers was always much cheaper in price than it is today. They currently have "40% off all clothes & shoes" but prices are higher. Not too impressed!

Happy days.....I'm buying alot of shoes from here and they are great value for money. Smiles from the staff, its a pleasure to go inside.
