Great place, in the middle of nowhere, it is right behind Blacktown/Rootyhill Sports Park. Bit difficult to find, entry his Rooty Hill South Road/Church Street. There are number of playing fields used for Cricket, Soccer, Rugby and few other sports. It has a relatively big parking area, a small play area for young kids. Public toilets that are open only on scheduled game days.

Upon the hill, there is quite a broad panoramic 360 view, going west to the mountains, south to the towers near Cecil Hill and east towards Wet 'n' Wild. The grounds are well kept, not the most steepest of slopes but is home to a previous tradition of being there for the first sunrise, as well as festivals and celebrations throughout the year such as Australia Day.

Went on Australia Day event and the grounds was just amazing. Free rides for kids followed by amazing music and at the end 15mins of beautifully choreographed fireworks. We all had a fantastic time at the event. Happy Australia Day to everyone ✌️

Every second fortnight there is a Live Action Roleplay (LARP) here which I attend. Good fun. The park is a bit dirty (glass, used condoms, assorted rubbish) and there is little shade, but for such a large reserve it seems relatively unused (except for the Scy'Kadia LARP group).

This landmark is where Darug people used to stop and rest from the elements when traveling to and from the mountains and parramatta river and the coast. It was awesome to hear Diesel give acknowledgement of country at the 2018 January 26 performance.

"Thanks for bringing me to this nice undeveloped park!!! I like that it is just biking, hiking, hunting. The trails are awesome. I wish I would have brought my bike to explore more of the trails. I think I will be back with the bike."

Every year 26 Jan Australian day big event organised by Blacktown council. That is free for every one . Free game for kids and adult . Also alcohol free zone . And Verry secure by cope , fire and firt add provider.

Historical "The Rooty Hill". Nothing to see here, just a huge expanse of open land with a whopping great hill in the middle. It's a great view from the top. Other than that, there's nothing else to do/see here.

Very grateful for this place. Massive outdoor auditorium and a sloping field for great views. Two soccer fields and new netball courts have been recently added. Small playground for children and amenities.

Went for a nice walk around in the fresh air. Plenty of parking but the road leading down to the reserve is fairly average. Hardly anyone around. Good netball courts to practice on. Nice soccer field.

Blacktown council should be congratulated. Western Sydney Parklands are spectacular. Parking attendants at the Australia day event were lovely and the whole event was extremely well organized

Love this place , used to be look beautiful but apparently Lanscape guys are pretty horrible around the area not sure what’s happening, grounds , parks are all messy with uneven grasses

Because they building more car park more intertaining site different section next month they going to have different food sections i cannot wait what it is going to be like

Parking facilities are really improvised from previous years... Very happy with the arrangements done this year for the Australia day 2018 celebrations....

It's a good suburb except the housing commission which is blended with the rest of the property in other words their are dole blodgers around this area

There is nothing there at the mo6, but their will be a new shopping centre opening soon is still under construction now

A good spot to acclimatise before taking on the final ascent to Mt Druitt summit. Can get busy in peak season.

Great park hidden in a way that makes you feel like you're in the wrong street as you approach the entrance.
