For the sake of having to give one star in order to write a review is the only reason this review has a star at all. Never to miss an opportunity to be a disappointment seems to be the manager's mission at this Ross location. I purposely chose a time of day to purchase several Toys for Tots gifts that would not be busy knowing that I would be purchasing a lot of merchandise and could possibly need assistance with loading the toys into my vehicle. The store was not busy at all, only one guest in front of me and one behind me in line for the next cashier. Which was four cashiers including the exchange/returns cashier. There were three team members on the floor and I asked one of them to help me with loading the toys and he said he would help. When the manager asked him where he was going and he told her to help a customer she told him that he was not going to help me that I could do it myself. I heard her and asked her if there was somebody else that could help me and she did not answer my question. I asked her three more times each time she looked directly at me and did not answer my question. She was only 10 feet from me and she heard me as well as others standing by. I asked her if she was going to answer me and she said that I could pull my car up to the front and load it from there. When I came back inside, there were only cashiers besides herself and no team members on the floor like before. She obviously did not realize that I was inside the store as she was making demeaning and racist remarks about me to which I responded that I could hear what she was saying to a customer. I told her that her customer service is atrocious. It's unfortunate that this location has horrible leadership and a poor excuse for management. This location has several team members that are the opposite of the manager that was working this morning. I'm happy to drive out of my way to another Ross DFL location rather than pay money to shop at a store that cannot hire decent managers that have taken basic customer service training. I hope this review is read and considered by the Ross SLT and is taken seriously. The way I was spoken to and spoken about today is disgusting. Sincerely, La Donna Aldridge

Zachary was my cashier on two occasions and I'm very unhappy with his service. Unfortunately my first time a few weeks ago he didn't seem to know how to give back change correctly and tossed it on the counter back at me and was all together short and hard to hear. He didn't speak up or reply much at all. Today I came with my mother in law and we had a return. He asked if we had the receipt and proceeded with the return. We handed over one item and had several others. He apparently asked if it was the only item, to which I said "sorry?" Because I didn't hear him. He then told me to take the receipt and called for the next person. I explained we had more items to return and he seemed defensive, saying "oh I thought you said that was the only one. You said yes so..." then he did the return and seemed to not properly explain that an item was now on mark down and the store credit was much less than we paid for. I had to ask him to clarify several times before just agreeing and taking the credit. Unfortunately he was rather unfriendly and it made the experience very uncomfortable and awkward. The store itself is clean but very low on stock, which is expected soon after the holidays still. I'll come back here, but will wait for a different cashier next time.

The WORST experience at a ROSS store ever! Their shelves and racks are absolutely bare! In every department. It honestly looks as though they’re going to close the store and have had a close-out sale. I asked the young lady who was at the register if they were going to close and she explained no and that they had been really busy. I told her it was really disappointing that there was so little inventory. She said they had no control over that because it’s up to corporate what they get in stock. She I told her I was giving her the feedback so that she could advise her management. She said well my manager is right here. I asked the gentleman, who was standing right there, if he had heard my feedback. He said he did and didn’t acknowledge or comment further. I told him it was so disappointing and that since it doesn’t appear they care about my feedback I wouldn’t be back. All he offered was “ok.” Wow! No inventory and awful customer service. There are too many choices where I can spend my money. ROSS will definitely NOT be one of them.

good place for discount offerings on home and clothing staples. this location recently increased their inventory to include more upscale skin care lines. also, a good option for finding cleaning supplies heavily discounted. but do not go here if in a hurry. the line is always long. they usually have three, at most, cashiers moving very slowly, often discussing their breaks, and rarely engaged with customers for a chance to possibly create a more positive experience. also, if you don’t like to dig, not for you, avoid. this place looks like a tornado hit it. when merchandise arrives, it seems the employees must unload the trucks just throwing products in the general direction of their categorical area. but if you got time, don’t care about a lack of service, are patient enough to stand in line for 20 minutes (after digging for a pair of black socks for an hour), and your skin can handle some some shoulder to shoulder crowded shopping aisle-then this might just be your new guilty pleasure.

I have never in my life been treated the way these people treated me it's was 190 degrees outside and I had a cup of ice wit me and I understand the NO drink rule but my lymphoma requires me to stay hydrated and I'm an every day customer I just somehow thought she would show an ounce of human compassion especially after she directed me to leave my cup in the car and I mentioned in front of the whole store u I had no vehicle so I then proceeded to throw drink away and try on shoes and having the issues I have I can't bend DOWN so I am only able to pull shoes down an try on what I want so maybe that's why the BIG guy physically assaulted me an removed me from ross when I ask why they responded we don't have to tell u anything

I love Ross, and I won’t stop shopping there, but I had quite a crappy experience at this one the other night. I was bored late at night, and noticed this one was open until 11:30. I got there probably around 10. Somewhere between 10:30-10:45 they start doing the closing message...every 5-10 minutes...so I got to hear the spiel like 100 times. At 11, they started saying they were ‘going to close’...and sounding impatient. At 11:15 they shut off most of the lights, and then one employee came and stood behind me. I understand that the employees could probably care less about the amount of money their store makes, but this store might as well close at 10, since they scare off anyone wanting to spend any money after that.

Today no one greeted the 4 ppl that walked in with or right after me including us, the line was long as usual, the cashiers moved quickly, the front end supervisor Tiffany didnt greet me i spoke to her she didnt make eye contact nor smiled while side bar talking with a male with a navy/royal blue short sleeve polo, i bought 5 items, 3 pair of heels, 1 shirt and a pair of bottoms that took what felt like forever with the dissatisfactory customer service especially from a person in a leadership role. This isnt the first time ive received service of this sort at this particular ross i rate it a 3.5 simply due to the high volume it constantly has, its usual pretty clean, fairly staffed and mostly friendly

DO NOT BOTHER. Fitting rooms are closed most of the evening (starting at 7:30) except for 2 tiny ones up front, which means parents with strollers or disabled patrons just can't try clothes on at all. And the manager was very rude and accusatory when we inquired about it because of a long line. THIS STORE DOESN'T WANT YOUR MONEY. TJ Maxx just down the street has their dressing rooms open until closing time. Edit: after calling in the morning, my impression is even worse. The hourly manager refused to give out the general manager's name or corporate office number (she gave me the number I had just called). Two stars down to one...because zero isn't possible. This just isn't like ROSS.

This place has good and bad days. It is either hit or miss. I have found some gems in there for a reasonable price. You just need to be persistent and patient. For instance, I found a Sarasvathi statue for 20.00. Those are hard to come by anyway and I ran upon just by looking. I got some amazing Egyptian cotton queen sheets for 14.99. I bought an amazing Buddha painting there for $10. I have picked up most of my small pieces of furniture there for a great price but you cannot be in a hurry. The place is better than the other Ross in Highland Park. I find better deals as this one, more often. My advice to get the best out of Ross is to check back OFTEN!

  • Emily Meehan

Store itself was fine just like any other Ross. I was very disappointed in managements response for an issue I had though. I found a womens dress jacket it was suppose to have a skirt as well. The skirt was nowhere to be found but I still wanted to purchase the jacket because it fit perfectly. I asked a manager if I could still buy it and if they would give me a discount seeing as half of the outfit was missing. They were only willing to give me a 15% discount even though half of the outfit was missing. I pressed the issue and they were both unwilling to give me a larger discount or look for the missing peice.

This is the best Ross Dress for Less I've ever been to. I go there all the time have been for 6 years plus lots of shoes clothes that have the best assortment of t-shirts plenty of stuff for your kitchen plenty of stuff for your bathroom once a knick knacks for the guys always find plenty of backpacks the prices are amazing they always have a lot of knick knacks in the back for kitchen stuff as well if you wanted to go through the shelves it's worth your time. I go here at least every two to three months to make sure I don't miss out on any good stuff

  • Tiffany Jackson

There’s always a woman that’s always smiling and being super kind ‘ Karen’ she’s in the customer service box Wow amazing and beautiful with a gorgeous smile .. hmm wonder if she single?.. but any how over all clean store with mean old ladies on Tuesday’s but Karen handles them with care even when they are mean and bossy to her.. I know cause I seen her in action after these old folks can’t get a discount on a mark on the shoes .. telling a old person no more discounts on top of their Tuesday club is like telling a fat kid no more sweets!

  • Ave' Thompson

I am elderly and ask the associates, not the one checking me out, but either of the 3 that was standing around saying hello and welcome to Ross. To go in the back and get me tissue paper for the gift bags that I did not see. They all turned their heads like they didn't hear me asking for help/assistance since I'm elderly and can't be walking a lot or far. Ross in city place associates really don't want to assist you if it comes to them walking to retrieve anything for their customers. What happened to excellent customer service?

  • James Collins

One of the worst locations I have ever seen! The store was in horrible condition and not a single employee seemed to care. In some places there were more clothes on the floor then hanging on the racks and I personally saw employees walk right over the clothes and kept walking! They did not care about us spending our money on those clothes! I asked to speak to the manager to tell her what I saw and I was literally told that they were "too busy" to speak with me. I haven't stepped for in that store since and you shouldn't either!

  • Kate Lowry

I always shop at Ross. I never been to this store until yesterday, but I've never been treated like this at any other Ross I've shopped at. I had people following me around the store and when I would look right at them they would walk away and another would come near me. This was so freaking uncalled for. I never leave Ross without spending $100, but yesterday I spent almost $300. You guys have all those cameras for a reason. Use them!! Don't make good customers uncomfortable and treated like a common theif.

  • Steve Surfaro

This Ross store may have a smaller inventory than most but it is Clean and packed with some decent deals. Skip the regular racks and go straight for the clothing Clearance. Make a stop at the hanging electronics area as you'll probably find a smartphone screen protector for yourself or a friend. Once in a while you may also find a $4 popsocket. The real gem here are the gluten free Preserves from France at a $3 savings, olive oil and artichoke hearts. Come here first before you buy your spices - well worth the trip.

  • Vanessa

The store has some great items although it is very messy and unorganized. The staff on the other hand, extremely rude! The manager Penny was the rudest of all... She made an announcement over the loud speaker that children are not to be left alone at any time because I let my 8yr old daughter walk into the restroom alone while I waited at the door because I had my 1yr old in the shopping cart along with some merchandise (merchandise not allowed in rr) I will not return to this location !!!

  • Tonya Washington Mccoy

Pros: Great selections, very reasonable priced merchandise. Cons:Never enough cashier's!! It's a discount store, lots of customers who appreciate a bargain however management needs to be better prepared and not have you in line 10-15 possibly 20 minutes during holidays. I've often put my items back and left the store when I got to the front and seen how backed up the lines were. Also the staff could be more friendlier and not act as if you being there is a problem for them.

  • Chance Ofaliftime

What a horrible place to shop....the store is a complete disaster ...I mean a real jungle ...it appears as if it has not been clean since the doors open ....product all over the floor ...thrown on top of racks ...all over the accent furniture..... You literally have to clear your walk way for your cart .. I truly would like to know who the GM is for the store..I would be to embraced for myself and my company to claim the role of manager for that store

  • Jesse Zepeda

Great selection of clothes at reasonable prices! I went in for one shirt, and bought 3!! However, the cashier need more costumer service training. They removed tags from a pair of pants I bought and then I had to come all the way back to this store (I live in Richardson) to get an exchange and the manager had security check the video to make sure I had been to the store to buy the pant. I had the receipt in my hand!! This was not needed at all!

  • Heather K. McCann

It's very unorganized and not very clean. The employees treat you like a criminal at least that's the way it felt to me. Trying on stuff in the dressing room is a big ordeal counting exactly how many garments you're going to try on. Then they close the dressing rooms like 45 minutes before they even close. I love Ross when I am in the thrift store kind of mood, but there are plenty of nicer Ross locations to choose from, and I would and do !

  • Your Mom

Despite it's overflowing racks, shelves and bins; the crowded aisles, disorderly ordered mounds of treasures ... I give this place 5 stars. It has such a great selection of items at reasonable prices that I don't mind taking a whole day sorting through things to find the gems I want. The check out line might be long but the cashier's work fast, I f they're not all smiles and grins I imagine it's because they're on super speed mode.

  • Uriel Coronado

I can't believe you actually think people have a good experience here. Let me see where do I start. Cleanliness - none, the store is a mess. Customer service - I don't think Ross knows what that is. Efficiency - it took me 35 minutes to check out. I still don't understand now a days where people have choices of where to shop how they end up here. I had to give it a star otherwise I couldn't post it but it deserves a zero!!

  • Leslie L

Lol I always come here. But it's recommended to come in as soon as they open or late at night when there's less people. Every time I come there's always a mess everywhere. If it's busy you can't see properly because people want you to move or push you. There's always long lines with 2 or 3 cashiers. People are whining asking what's taking too long. If you can't take a busy unorganized store I suggest you to leave.

  • Tasha Monique

First time at this ross. Store was over crowded with merchandise, but I didn't mind because it was all good stuff. Friendly security and jewelry staff. Not so friendly cashier called the next customer before even giving me my change. I refused to let her rudeness rush me or ruin my experience. Customers should be given a moment to put their cash away and pick up their bags before the next customer is called

  • M M

I just had a conversation with a lady in line about how if we didn't find stuff we really liked we would have walked instead of standing in this line. I understand having 2 cashiers in the middle of the day, but in the evening right before closing when people are here after work? You guys have 6 lines. There should be more than 2 cashiers with this crowd. Make that one, one just disappeared.

  • Jacqueline Smola

I love Ross. Shopping here can be a treat as you never know what random things you'll find. There are a few items you can consistently get here but most of the time I shop here on a whim hoping to find inspiration or random pieces to something (whether it be clothes or household items). It's kind of like shopping at Goodwill or a consignment store but everything is new and on sale.

  • Cory Summers

I always find tons of clothing that I love in here. Associates are efficient and pleasant. The checkout line is usually long when I visit, but I think it's because this location is popular. Security always greets me no matter what time of year, also sometimes helps me get a shopping cart. Fitting Rooms could probably use an update but love this store. I frequent this location!

  • M Da'na

Is this a clothes store or a bachelor messed up dirty dorm room? I had to go here because I needed to get a bow tie real quick. They had only two ties available. The place is a mess. You almost need a navigator to go around with carts and stuff standing in your way around the store with everything all over the place. Feels so cheap and no respect for customers.

  • Mrs. Taylor

I'm from Minnesota and we don't have a Ross so whenever I go out of town I try to stop in and see what I can find. This store had nothing and it was unorganized. The customer service was poor too. I had to greet the cashier. She seemed like she didn't want to be there. I wouldn't go back Not sure why it says Arizona. It's supposed to be the one in Dallas Texas

  • mark young

This is absolutely the best Ross store location if you want to pick up high quality merchandise for next to nothing. They carry a lot of men's clothing brand names and price them like they're at a garage sale! I love going there! There are some Ross's that are horrible though. If you've had a bad experience try the one at CityPlace and you will be surprised.

  • Keep Faith

Have been going for years. Store was clean but lacking in things I needed. Normally I go there and get shampoo, white undershirts and briefs and didn't have any on the men's area. The line was about 8 people long and only one cashier so I had to leave. I love Ross and have had many good experiences here. Stock was so low but likely due to covid.

  • Enigma Born

This store is horrible! You ALWAYS have to wait for a dressing room! The regular fitting rooms are always closed. You have to use the 2 fitting rooms up front and I had to wait for 20 minutes before I just left and there's people behind me waiting as well! This is the worst location I've been to! Save your time, go elsewhere!

  • Penny Millis-Peters

Was just in yesterday shopping for Easter clothes for my grandson and they did NOT disappoint Found a really nice outfit for less than $15 and of course, we found a new Easter book too We also found a bunch of extras, that we didn't know we needed until we saw them...lol Great shopping at Ross as always …

  • Blake Steelman

I can't believe it took me close to 15 years to figure this out for myself but for the rest of my life, I will forever purchase winter close, at the end of winter, and summer closes at the beginning of Winter. Literally bought some great looking, RIGHT SIZE shirts that retailed originally for $60, but Ross' price is $10.

  • Carrie D

Always fun at Ross.. I don't like that you have to hunt down an employee to open the restrooms... I don't want to have to tell people my business by requesting that they stop and open it . That's weird. And it's at every Ross in so I think it must be a corporate thing. Otherwise it's a good location with great employees

  • Dennis Abert

Granted it’s close to Xmas, but their selection was the worst for mens shoes and clothes I’ve ever experienced in a Ross. The shoe offering consisted of Levi’s knock off Vans, Champion, sketchers and Under Armor. The clothes had a even less desirable selection. Hopefully they get some better shipments in the future.

  • Jana Dae

The snippent dismissive customer service by Jodi today makes me thankful that there are other stores that I can go to pay the same amount and receive better customer service. The discount in price must mean you'll get a discount in service. Jodi really make sure you understand the phrase 'you get what you pay for'.

  • cameron hamilton

There where more security there then cashier's. I witnessed employees walking over clothes that dropped on the floor. The cashier was great. We purchased a full basket worth of clothes but wasn't allowed to take the basket to the car. We have an infant so it was a real struggle trying to get all things to the car.

  • Lindsay Diaz

This store is pretty decent, not unlike any other Ross store. Was not too crowded and was pretty well kept. There were so many options for clothing and other home good items, which is always my favorite. The associates were pretty friendly and the wait to check out was not bad. Parking was a bit limited though.

  • Carole Schwartz

The TV ads for new seasonal shoes and clothing is never a reality within the shopping experience. Not much new apparel when you get there anyway, as usual.I still shop there though, hoping for what the ad claims. You can't beat the o prices if you should happen to get lucky and find something you want to buy.

  • Sthephanie Rivas

Not even want star I understand stores being busy but normally pretty at least on the east coast we are use to registers for those people with let's than 10 items. This cashier wanted to make me do an hour line for me to pay one item while she was just seating there with not line on the return line...

  • Dianne Mento

Good lit parking, plenty of carts, store bright and clean throughout, my girlfriend complained her size 3 x were at minimal offerings but xl had a great variety. My only complaint and which got me out of the store much sooner than I normally would was the temperature kept ... it felt like 80.

  • Abraham Zayat

It had lots of great things for great prices, including a bunch kinds of stuff, like shoes, clothing, jewelry, and perfume for ladies and men, toys, and games, and a lot of household items. Everything was for a great price, and lots of things were much cheaper than in many other places.

  • Donald Wilborn

Great, but random selection of fashion, home décor and fragrances at bargain pricing. Always busy, so prepare for long waits to checkout with only one or two cashiers usually. Still, incredibly popular with fashionistas and anyone looking for designer wares at less than half price.

  • Katy Anderson

I used to go here weekly, loved it, found great deals and spent quite a bit of money..that is until I overheard employees discussing my skin color and how they'd love to pick a fight with me while I'm in the dressing room, clearly within earshot. Great deals < my personal safety.

  • christopher jackson

Good and adorable but the staff weren't very helpful plus things are left all over the floor! Over 50 people waiting in line but only 2 cashiers? Waiting In line for 1 hour to purchase one thing I would give 5 stars for affordability but 1 star for customer service …

  • huyen nguyen

Good price but very unsafe. Watch out guys! I have my wallet stolen there, and the people working there don't care about customers. When I reported I have my wallet lost, they offered no help at all and just tried to ignore me. Worst experience at all. I'll never shop there.

  • Tiara Burns

I love the selection but I watched an entire episode of house of cards while standing in line. 50 minutes. Every time I come, one of the cashiers is flirting with a guard. This place needs to be ran a lot better. The young lady who works returns doesn't even greet customers

  • Cassandra O. James

I love this chain but not this location. It is not very tidy, like I barely wanted to touch the door handle, there was debris on the food BUT I did get what I needed but would gladly go out of my way to go to a location that is better maintained. So you decide...

  • Sally-Jo Walters

I loved going there on a regular basis a d pouring through all the great merchandise from clothes and shoes to purses and belts. There was new choices every time I went in! Prices are very competitive, great bargains! It's a well kept store with good management.

  • Isa Palacio

Ross is a mess, you may find great deals but you literally have to FIND IT ALL AROUND THE PLACE. Forget about finding your deal in the shoe shelf of your size... They may be with the towels... Be REALLY PATIENT, don't go in a rush for a last minute gift

  • yesenia pina

This place was a mad house. The line to pay circled around the perimeter of the store. I can always find inexpensive things for my home but waiting in line for them is ridiculous. I ended up walking out of the store. They desperately need more help.

  • MDK

Ross is the best! Great low prices for all your shopping needs. I go there for clothes and home decor or different types of containers or organizers, but there's so much more and always at pretty great prices you won't find other places.

  • Israel aka The lion of Judah Mason

This is one of my favorite places to shop. Or even people watch. Lol I didn't say stalk. When I say that no matter what time I get there the staff here is always friendly. And goes beyond the call of duty to get me what I'm looking for.

  • Anamariela Arias

It's great they have nice things for low prices. I only have 2 complaints which is that their restrooms don't look clean at all and they smell really bad. The other problem I had was that they don't have many things for the small sizes.

  • Mayank Trivedi

This store is situated on N Haskell Ave Target mall and is surrounded by other famous branded shops. You get good deals on men, women and childrens clothing. Due to location and having ample parking spots, shopping is a pleasure here.

  • vSellout DL

There was generally good looking clothes and shoes. I HIGHLY recommend shopping here. There is low prices if your on a budget. And there are thing for everyone. And plus there is discounts almost all around the store.

  • jose martinezz

Don't shop here loss prevention font care about kids. Lady's baby was sleep had a sealed blanked. Told her. You can't be in store no more. You need to get out. That's some bull shit. Will not come back here again.

  • Brandon Noll

Had a good selection of random gifts for white elephant gift exchange but overall store was messy and the checkout took forever. Cashier's showed no sense of urgency even though there was a huge line.

  • Veronica Cash

The older African American security guard that worked today around 2pm is amazing. He went above and beyond to help me out during a time if crisis. Wish there were more people like him in the world.

  • Maria S

Limited selection of shoes. Great prices on clothes. Not too busy. Only 2 dressing rooms but they were spacious & clean. Customer service good. I found everything I was looking for & within budget.

  • Lana Grass

This is my favorite Ross, perfect place to shop for all styles and fashion. Great exercise outfits. Lots of decorating house hold stuff. Clothes go fast, so always new things to buy. Great prices.

  • Delene Burton

Pleasantly surprise, lots of good stuff! In the past, things have felt "picked over" - must be new mgmt, better selections! Stocked with Christmas deals & steals - get them before they're gone.

  • Ivona Williams

This place was okay. They have some incredible deals. Some great employees. Good service, but the whole place looks like its been hit by a hurricane. But I still advised u to go there & shop.

  • Emily Schaefer

The employees are always so kind and the prices are great! The women's dressing room is messy though and it really smells like there's a dirty diaper tucked back in those boxes …

  • Chantel Green

Get great items from housewares to clothing, baby items, discount makeup and hair products. They always have BIG bottles of name brand shampoo and conditioner for like $7.99 or $8.99

  • Joel Flores

Shelves and racks are Pretty empty this time of year... Still my go to for value and great surprises... You'll always leave with your bags and wallet full..and satisfied...

  • Joe Matthews

Whatever happened to all the bargains.!? The items are priced now are like what you find in Kohl's. I couldn't find any great bargains, but I did buy something :-)

  • Sue L

The staff is spot on at this store - friendly and helpful. I typically have good luck finding treasures here too and appreciate their extended hours.

  • Kirsten

Store was a mess. Clothes and shoes were not properly put back. When I asked for help finding an item, sales clerk didn't know where to locate it.

  • Mike J
