"Bad customer service"
"What a complete shambles, I lost my will to live walking around this place!! It's hard to find anything because NOTHING is where it should be, so you can't search according to size & items that should be in one labelled area is spread out in different locations"
"My little pup and I take a trip here once a month, never have I had a single issue or problem"
"I really,really was impressed"
"Well it is the day after Halloween so I went to Ross to see if they had Halloween clothes for my son and I (: I only found stuff for my baby son and when I went to the cash register it was the regular price so I asked when it was supposed to go on sale and the girl at the register (I think her name was Marcela) called to check with the manager and the manager had her mark it down for me!! YaaaaY!! I am SO Happy that they took the time to do that for me cause they could have easily just said "we don't know why it is not marked down" or something like that"
Bad customer service. 3 Stars because of decent past experiences. I'm a man with 5 items of clothing ready to try on in the dressing room. I walk up to the rack where they inspect how many items of clothing/ give you a tag corresponding with quantity of clothing you bring in. First off, the lady asks me to put the clothes on a rack side with clothes on it already, which could cause confusion. I notice last second that there's a red stain on the white hem of the jacket I wished to try and asked if I could hand it to her because I did not wish to try it on anymore. The lady-- presumably Filipino, white haired, limited English-- does not understand what I am requesting and it's not until her coworker who speaks in Tagalog explains what I'm trying to do and why I don't want it anymore. She checks the clothing and hands me a card with mild irritation and I head into the room. After I tried the clothing, I decided that I did not want them. 1 didn't fit well, and 3 were spotted with stains I didn't notice because they were folded in such a way that they could not be seen. I bring them out, the lady waves at the rack, checks the clothing, and asks what I wished to take. I said none but wished to see the jacket again because I figured that all the clothes were normally dirty and the one splotch on the jacket would be an easy clean. She waves her hand to shoo me away in defiance saying "no, no" and turns around to cut the interaction. There's nobody behind me and it's not like she was busy. What a poor interaction that soured my visit. I really would have bought that jacket, and it was worth 3 pairs of the jeans I brought in to try. To the lady, if you don't want to work there, just leave. I literally did nothing to make the interactions go awry so I was taken aback by her last actions. It left me quite upset. To the store, get her out. She doesn't understand her job and she's going to make you lose sales because of petty conflict she's fabricating out of thin air. Terrible shopping experience.
What a complete shambles, I lost my will to live walking around this place!! It's hard to find anything because NOTHING is where it should be, so you can't search according to size & items that should be in one labelled area is spread out in different locations. I spent hours in here & found it difficult to find something worthwhile, only dresses & shoes had items in correct locations. Shoes were disappointing, styles are more than 3 years old, made cheaply & basic colours - black, white, brown. No colour, no love here. Handbags were disastrous - 2 aisles of black bags, then a couple of mixed aisles of basic colours - no white, no colour. The prices weren't a bargain either, surprising that many items were priced the same as if you bought them in a full priced store elsewhere. Ross you've lost me.
My little pup and I take a trip here once a month, never have I had a single issue or problem. A short wait in line to get in and maybe a little bit longer when checking out. Yet the staff is very friendly and try to help you a quick as they possibly can. Not to mention the phenomenal prices they have on all sorts of items. Oddly enough our once a month trip is for my pup we always come because they have quite a large selection of cat and dog supplies from beds to food even toys! She always loves coming here because she knows she will be leaving with a new squeaky toy maybe two and a bone. Store gets a 10/10 for me tons of clothes at great prices you can't find anywhere else that's for sure, not even online! Thanks for reading my review have a wonderful day.
I really, really was impressed. I always thought of the store as being low budget, items nobody wanted or useless merch left over from the holidays. I had already shopped Macy's,Nordstroms, footlocker, and several other stores looking for shoes. I was having no luck. I couldn't even get anybody to help me in some stores, and others seemed over priced. I didn't even plan to visit the store but it was on the way home. The people there were really nice and helpful. They directed me to the shoe department. They didn't hound me. I didn't feel watched and I didn't feel deserted. I was so comfortable in being able to shop at my own pace, with no pressure, I was able to find a perfect size fitting, sporty brand looking, expressing ,"ME" pair of shoes. Thank you, ROSS
Well it is the day after Halloween so I went to Ross to see if they had Halloween clothes for my son and I (: I only found stuff for my baby son and when I went to the cash register it was the regular price so I asked when it was supposed to go on sale and the girl at the register (I think her name was Marcela) called to check with the manager and the manager had her mark it down for me!! YaaaaY!! I am SO Happy that they took the time to do that for me cause they could have easily just said "we don't know why it is not marked down" or something like that. So I figured I would leave a review about my lovely experience there today! Thank you!!
Wonderful staff and great selection of clothing. Most the time I have an issue with Staff breathing down my back while I'm shopping (I'm not the average shopper and I tend to not do the dress down thing before going out so sometimes I bring on looks that I could potentially be homeless but that not the case.... I just don't give a damn what I look like or what people think until I'm shopping and I'm not left alone for a moment) But at this Ross the staff let me do my thing and shop. And in return I purchased over $200 in items..... Whew... I'll let my account rest for a bit before my next shopping trip lol
Chaos!! Worst ross i have ever been to. Clothes were ugly!!! I don't know what's going on in downtown san francisco but the staff are so unfriendly. I felt like i was in the goodwill or salvation army, by the looks of it. Its messy, the escalators didn't work. So people were carrying carts up the escalators. Everything is locked up. The store full of employees but only 3 people working the register and upstairs i was refused because i wasn't buying one of the locked up merchandise. I was so disgusted, i just left the store!! I'll never go back.
They are way understaffed. Store is super dirty, bottom escalators not working. All the security sensors on the shoes are going off continuously. Incredibly annoying. Only one till was open and we waited in line for an hour to checkout. Two other staff members were gathering hangers or putting items back on the shelves instead of helping customers. The line was 20 people long and many customers left because it wasn't worth it. As you can see in the pictures no other tills open and big crowd. Good deals here but service was so terrible.
I have been to this store several times. I felt comfortable their like there were no security breathing down my neck. They have a very wide selection of clothing ,shoes, household items and more. Sometimes the quality is good sometimes not. But you get what you pay for right! I was able to find two very nice pairs of shoes there and my husband got a few things too. For the life of me I can't remember what he got but that means we were happy with it because if we weren't you better believe I would remember! Lol
I asked a employee if she could show me a perfume because she was showing perfume to other people , she told me I’m helping them in a rude way I said okay I waited until they were done and she took all the perfumes to the register never came back to help me not even say I will be helping u in a second I waited a lot of time just for her to leave me there standing like a dumb person , I’m never going back to that Roos again …
I spent 80$ on my birthday I told ERLINDA the cashier it’s my birthday she didn’t say happy birthday she also didn’t want to give me a free bag I saw the Superviser JACKIE next to ERLINDA I told JACKIE that it’s my birthday can I get free bag she didn’t say happy birthday aswell JACKIE said to me she doesn’t care and I still couldn’t get a free bag. I told them I want a refund of all my items ✌️
Went in for a budget hat. Came out with a $10 fitted hat(great buy.) Got 2 great men's blouses. 1, $14 the other $9. Right at $34 all together. Place was packed,(almost pre COVID) Staff directed me quickly. The line to checkout.... Was crazy long. They have it under control atleast 20-25 people in line before me. Only took about 3 or 4 minutes. Going back for all my great budget needs.
If you like good deals, this is the place for you! Despite the chaos a huge store like this may present, this is actually quite organised and you can find a great variety of clothing. There's also an entire floor dedicated to house apparel, so if you don't want clothes, there's still the possibility of buying nice stuff for a good price! That's a very nice store right there!
It's sort of the place left, and a short wait in line to pass security, and then floors, men's on 3, and housewares in the basement, it's actually okay to still shop here. There's hundreds of outdoor jackets and plenty of jeans to choose from. Lots of quality housewares and right at Bart and Muni on 4th and Market, a block or two from Union Square. Opens at 8:30 everyday.
The worst retail store experience on earth. For every employee who is actually working to check customers out, there are 1 or 2 "loss prevention" employees just standing around. I'm amazed that this store is still in business. Also, don't insult my intelligence. Limiting the number of customers is not for "my safety". It's for loss prevention and corporate greed.
When you need a good deal in expensive San Francisco you should visit here first. Get walking shoes, a quick jacket, flat iron, rolling luggage (very good quality for very convenient prices) Security. Stocked at least every three days or week. Near the Westfield mall and on Market Street (lots of public transportation), no car is needed.
Loss prevention could use some training in hospitality. There was no one in line but I was told to wait on the side walk and explained to like a 5 year old “there are bad people all over the world right now”. When asked what are we waiting for, I was told I’m waiting for her, she loved the authority. Good for you Ma’am
Grimey, and packed with people. But they have such a large inventory of product here. That whatever you need it's going to be their. But also it's so damn packed and hot up in their that y'all know that covid is just picking and choosing who they are going to go home with. Shuy, you gonna shop and COVID is too.
Rudeness and fat shaming are coming from some customers. The person, possibly a woman, staffing the dressing rooms wouldn't speak and just pointed, yet was chopping it up with their coworker before and after I used the room. The line to pay took about thirty min to checkout. Great prices!!
Usually this is my least favorite Ross in SF. It's often over picked and sparse. But today, New years eve, and the last few times, it has been better stocked and organized. The check out line is always long but moves quickly. They must have the seasoned employees working this location
Mary Anne Hgbayani provided exceptional assistance at Ross Store, demonstrating remarkable speed and efficiency. Her professional expertise and quick service greatly contributed to our positive experience. Highly recommended for her outstanding support. Thank you, Mary Anne!
Nice store and spread over four floors. Understanding stock shortages are hitting all over the place, it’s still disappointing to see the empty shelves and general lack of selection. Still there are some deals, but they just require more effort to find.
Yes I love Ross i just started coming here again over the summer I was getting a lot of good stuff. So I notice they are getting even better! Well I just got my little muffins some stuff for Christmas some last minute stuff and I think they will like!!
Huge store and crowded. There is so much theft going on that their loss prevention staff makes you que outside and let’s people in as customers leave to control the crowds. Same prices and clothing as other Ross stores. Nothing special here.
Good, cheap and for household items. Very long lines at the cashier, before and after the store. Many different security. Small areas, many floors, and many items are usually sold out/picked up from buyers on internet. Items are everywhere
We love Ross but it's not the same here. Much is lacking here. For example we needed a charger for our iPad. Easy enough but not so here. A few nothing items in the hocks. Many on Monday they will have more. Black dress socks, no suck
It’s okay it’s busy than the other Ross clothing stores since I’d downtown close to union square and tourist also visit this location, there are always officers at the main entrance and security guard walking around so it’s nearly
Always super busy, but I was with a friend who knew some of the staff & they were warm and friendly even though they were bursting at the seams busy. Friday afternoon one might excuse staff who were worn out but they were troopers
I haven't shopped at Ross for a while (haven't done ANY shopping for myself for a while). I damn near bought one of everything. Shelves were full. Not like last year I was there. And the cashier's were quicker then I remembered.
If you use a walker ask where the elevator is because they didn't tell me anything about an elevator and I took the escalator and flew over my walker and landed on my face and I smashed my glasses and got 7 stitches in my head.
Nice experience except for the fact that they think everyone is a criminal and they look at each individual as a thief. Meanwhile people from minority backgrounds walking out with merchandise like nothing without paying
This Ross is a joke. I watched them let in people with backpacks and refused to let me, a paying customer, come in. Had no explanation either. I literally have never stolen anything from there. Fools
Hit or miss four floors of stuff! The basement is my favorite kitchen items, art for your walls and shelving, animal essentials, art supplies If you're looking for new luggage head to the basement.
Only place in the city that still enforces COVID rules that are not in effect anymore in ANY other businesses or locations in the whole city.they just use it as a way to discriminate .
This store will harass you and follow you around while you’re trying to shop . Then you have the sneaky Asian ladies that work their watch and accuse black people of stealing.
For the most part it has good prices, but it's always so crowded. And also loss prevention is always breathing down your neck. It is offensive and makes people uncomfortable
I loved that store!! I’ve found excellents pieces of clothes there with an affordable price... you have to look very well to find good things.. but I loved and recommend!!!
Great prices but the shoe section could use a better organization system. Don't forget to follow my account for more great ideas on an eventful day in the bay area!
It's so sad to see the decadence on this area compared to a couple of years ago. Place is gloomy and you have to wait outside to get in because of loss prevention.
So, just got hired for a new job 5 minutes after I was interviewed for it and I was in need of a pair of black cargo pants (never my svelte 38"×32" in black...)
Love that you have juicy couture items. Do you sell juicy couture. Track suits?? Please get back to me to let me know. I need to purchase a few. Thank you
Went there to pick up at Amazon locker box. Convenient area to lockers separate from shopping area. Located to your right as you enter store.
This is a big store with lots of merchandise. It is always pretty busy and at the busiest times there is a line waiting outside to get in.
great prices and tons of clothes be prepared because is huge; you will find many big brands with discounts, employers are very kind
Great location and has 3 levels of clothes EVERY WHERE! Pretty sure to find some stuff here. Great place to shop overall.
Very well equipped store for clothes and shoes. Suitcases and handbags in variety. Popular with long ques, even on entry.
Whenever you need or just want something cheap, here's the place. Excellent clothing, good shoes, home decoration, etc.
I can’t believe people have to line up outside and waits to get in. I found the selections was that nice or plentiful.
Best place to buy clothes and shoes for reasonable prices. Here we have good men's shoes collection.
Different have much stock when we visited and shop very messy. Staff were ok.
It's Ross, who doesn't love a bargain... Staff is usually bright and helpful
A very big ross dress for less, however the queues are quite long at times
Good store but you gotta wait in an outside line which sorta sucks
Some great bargains to be found I'd you take the time to look.
Fantastic shop with truly great prices. Really nice items
