Nice park. Has a couple playgrounds, plenty of pavilions with bbq grills, a concrete cornhole game set up near one of the lg pavilions in the back left side of the park (bring your own beanbags), nice long paved walking path that passes along the river, clean bathrooms scattered throughout the park, several sports areas. Large dog park.. Fishing is also available down on the river banks along the walking path and the dam is pretty neat, flows really fast after heavy rains. I did see homeless people on every visit but they don't bother you at all.

Rowlett Park has a lot of animals and birds from squirrels to hawks. The Ibis is there. The rabbit is there. The Florida Red Tailed Hawk is there. The squirrels are friendly too. It's a huge , clean, dog friendly, wildlife and plant variety rich space, huge catfish clearly seen right at the shore of the Hillsboro river near the dam. Freshwater tidepools team with mosquito fish and young tilapia, herons, ducks and many other varieties of birds, oh, and friendly people and plenty of parking . Picturesque old oaks dripping with Spanish moss, and ferns literally 10 feet tall...you decide...

  • Simonne Valdez

My family rented one of the picnic areas for a birthday and had no problems all day. We got there, set up and had a great time playing yard games by the water. Got pretty crowded later in the day but the picnic areas are a decent space apart that it didn’t interfere with our festivities in the slightest. If you rent at this park I highly recommend requesting a spot by the River!

Pros: Pavillion are far enough apart other groups activities didn't overshadow our gathering. Plenty of parking, easy access, seemed clean enough, plenty of garbage cans and plastic bags were provided. Cons: didn't feel super safe, two cops walked through the park near our pavillion during the afternoon. Flies swarmed our food as soon as the meat was cooked.

After i ordered chinese food i wanted to eat it while it was still hot. I google picnic parks and this park showed up. It has picnic tables, a walk trail, is very close to the river. They also have several gazebos perfect for Birthday parties or just a family party. With this pandemic I'm always looking for outdoors spaces. Definitely will come back.

  • Charleen Martinez

This was a lovely riverside park. Yoy can get right next to the Hillsborough River bank and see the water stream by. There is a nice, varied path great for exercise and stroller walks. There are plenty of trees with shade. There are also picnic tables and pavilions. There are two playgrounds too. I really enjoyed my time there.

  • DnMC98

VERY busy park. There are a lot of picnic tables, but they were all being used. There is a lot of nice shade, if you bring your own chairs you can sit many places. The parking is NOT sufficient, especially by the tennis courts, cars were parked on both sides of the road and traffic flow was not great.

  • CJ Diederich (Axios)

It's a beautiful park to visit they also have a huge dog park a play ground and a river perfect for meditation or yoga. They have gazebos for rent with BBQ grills and tables its perfect for bday parties or family gatherings. JUST REMEMBER TO PICK UP YOUR TRASH OR ANY TRASH YOU SEE, THANK YOU!

  • Sarah Lara

Wonderful visit. Picnic area and playground were clean. No ants at the picnic table under the tree. Bathrooms were clean. If I had a complaint, would be some of the kids who were jumping on a tree branch and a lady smoking weed, but that's a parent and visitor issue, not the parks fault.

  • Rich Brown

This park is pretty big and spacious. The grounds are kept spotless the grass is beautifully mowed. They have an awesome huge dog park with a part sectioned off for smaller dogs. It’s also situated along the beautiful Hillsborough River. It’s roomy enough to bring a frisbee etc.

  • Alex Daubon

2 words! Very Peaceful. I love to go here and enjoy the weather. Usually I will fish here but they have parks and places to have picnics as well. A lot of people workout there and well as walk and run. Overall it’s a really nice place to go and it have never been too crowded!

  • Marx Liriano

They have plenty of picnic area and sizes.

One of my family's favorite parks. It has 2 playgrounds (one for little kids and one for bigger kids), 2 dog parks (big dogs and little dogs) with agility courses, pavilions, racquetball courts, a fitness trail, and beautiful riverfront views. Great on Sunday mornings!

  • Ethan Kidd-Oyakhilome

Beautiful park with amazing courts. Fantastic for pickleball and tennis. My buddy and I play semi-regularly and never have an issue finding a court. It does tend to get busier in the evenings but usually everyone there is very friendly and willing to play together

  • Bianca Lynn

1st time going today with my birthday girl, Bella ♡ she had a great time! It wasn't too crowded plus the dogs and people were all very nice and pleasant. It was also well shaded which is a big plus for me considering the Florida heat, especially this time of year.

Restroom was locked while my family was visiting, shelter had a urine smell, individuals were arguing and having a physical altercation 100 feet from our family gathering, there was no park attendant to notify that the Restroom was locked.

Really awesome park. This park is huge. Great fishing spot although, keep an eye out. I unhooked a catfish just in time before a gator darted for him and dragged him back to the water. Do not let your kids near the water.

  • Charlayne Gray

Nice neighborhood park. Picnic shelters, racquetball, playground for the kids, and awesome walking trails. Part of the trail meanders near the river. Quiet, peaceful and populated enough to feel safe without the crowds.

Maintained. Large area. Public bathrooms nearby. Also a path to walk along the waterway spillover discharge and improved trail with a longer dirt path. Sometimes you can see manatees when the water is warm.
