I got my hair done by Sydney W. on 11/21/2018-She was amazing and super patient with me-I am trying to go from red to blonde and Sydney has been more than understanding of my goal. I know it will take us a while to get me where I want to be, but I am excited to have Sydney on my side during my hair journey. She is determined to get me to the end result and I trust her 100%. She was able to squeeze me into her schedule last minute AND on the day before thanksgiving! She was very professional at explaining every step to me as well as ensuring that I understood and was comfortable along the way. Aside from that, she is great at conversing,as I always have a lot to talk about, but she kept engaged in my conversation all while focusing on my hair as well. I purchased product from the salon as well, and Sydney only advised me of what I NEEDED as opposed to selling me something that would not be beneficial at all. The location of the salon is convenient as well, right in the heart of the Roosevelt art district in downtown Phoenix. Parking was not an issue as there is a parking garage in the rear and it was free! I was the last client of the day, and my appointment did not take as long as we had expected which was awesome!! Sydney even walked with me to the parking structure to make sure I made it to my vehicle safely since it was dark out! If you are looking for a stylist that is professional but also makes you feel like a friend, then Sydney is definitely your girl! I would recommend her time and time again. I have attached pictures of my "before and after"-The "before" pictures are with the red hair and the "after" pics are the beautiful blonde/caramel ombre Sydney was able to get me to in our 1st session!! I'm excited for our next appointment, and I can't wait!!

I have been going to Salon Ro5 since 2018 and Kristen Thomas is my stylist. I started her services after doing a ton of research. I am someone who can’t just show up as a walk in to find a random stylist. My hair is important and my stylist is in a long term relationship with me. Since my last stylist of 5 years wasn’t working out and I didn’t have referrals on where to do, I had to do research. I found Salon RO5 since they were downtown (close to my house) but looked clean and forward thinking. What I liked most is they provide information on each stylist, highlighting their areas of expertise and background. Kristen met my needs in what I was looking for in a stylist, so she was easy to contact for an initial consult. The salon is located in a great area, easy parking, with clean styling stations and a friendly receptionist. They are flexible with schedule changes and I love their bumble and bumble product offering. I have since moved to Scottsdale but am committed to Salon RO5 and Kristen. It’s worth the drive, price, and fresh stylish locks. Check it out!

I made an appointment at this place for a man's haircut at 11 am, I had to wait for one week to get this appointment. I decided to arrive 5 minutes earlier on my appointment day, they told me to have a seat because the person who was going to cut my hair was busy, I waited until 11:15 so I left. I get a text around 5 minutes after I left, and then a call from the person who was supposed to cut my hair. He explained that the previous customer was late and that was the reason he couldn't see me until around 11:20, and that he was really sorry. Whats the point of making an appointment at a certain time if you're not going to get seen at that time? I don't doubt these people are good at doing hair, but the professionalism of a business starts at the little things, like making sure that your appointments get seen at the time they're scheduled. I really wanted to give this place a try, I've heard good things about them, but after seen how they handle their appointments I got disappointed.

There are so many things to love about this Salon! 1) It is a local small business and the owner runs the salon with so much integrity. You couldn't support a better local gem! 2) The vibe in the salon is so warm and welcoming. I feel like I am going in to spend time with friends. You feel cared about and acknowledged. The staff remember you and what's going on in your life. And the ambiance is uncompared- great decor, badass magazines, tasty coffee and cool videos to watch. Honestly, I always want to get there early just to chill in the waiting area- my own mini spa moment :) 3) My man, Noah. So, you won't know the awesomeness of Noah until you experience it. His talent is off the charts. I am constantly stopped by random strangers about my sweet hair do. Not only does he have mad skills, but he is a good person. Really good heart and so creative and genuine. My soul and my hair are always renewed when I leave Salon Ro5! Treat yourself and make an appointment!

I came across Salon RO5 in a Yelp search after moving to Phoenix from Chicago and in desperate need of refreshed color after quarantine. I walked in without expectations, as it had been months and I was just happy to get my hair colored, but walked out feeling like my best self and with a new friend in Jo! From the second I sat down in her chair, Jo made me feel comfortable and safe with the salon's COVID precautions, and her questions and conversation made me feel like I had made a new friend in town. I have since returned many times, and always look forward to not only the improved outcome of the color and cut, but to catching up with a friend. The salon itself is intimate and the chairs are very well spaced apart, with the front desk staff taking temperature checks at the door. If you're new to town or just looking for a new stylist that will really understand what you're looking to achieve, look no further!

Called and asked if they had anyone who specializes in dry haircuts and was told "certainly, yes, we have someone who can do that!". I told her to even out my hair since the last cut I got was uneven, and to make the top layers less heavy but I didnt want too much cut off the bottom, at most 1/2 inch. She saw the look on my face while I was watching her cut SO MUCH hair off and said "dont worry, you still have a lot of hair". She didnt listen to me at all and just about gave me a long mullet. Its now been 2 years and I have just finally been able to grow my hair out fully and slowly fixed this expensive mistake myself. Be sure to look at the stylists Instagram, and if they don't have one, go somewhere else. Completely forgot her name so hopefully she works someplace else by now

Noah is the BEST HAIR STYLIST in Phoenix! He listens carefully to what cut you want and then gives suggestions that demonstrates his artist eyes. I brought my husband here first and was so impressed with Noah's expertise! Noah goes the extra mile by asking you about your daily hair routine and will adjust the haircut to accommodate you so that you will have a haircut you love that is easy to maintain. After my visit to Noah, my hair is layered perfectly with just the right amount of bounce and body. I love that I can wash my hair, let it airdry, and put it up in a bun--easy peasy! When I put my hair down later, it has this beautiful movement to it and has volume that hides my thinning hair. My husband and I will definitely be coming to Noah from now on!

I was very excited to find this place and received a great haircut from Sergio and we had talked about getting my hair colored and was really looking forward to getting this done and confirmed with him before I left couple weeks ago that I would be seeing him on May 9th for a color appointment and he assured me that I was scheduled.. I did not receive a confirmation text so I called today when they opened to check my appointment time and I was not scheduled and was told he did not have time for me today and would not be available for another week. I am so disappointed. I know this was just a scheduling mistake and I know he would do a great job, but it is frustrating trying to find the right time in my schedule to get my hair done

Yikes. That's all I have to say. Possibly the worst haircut I've had in the past 2 years. Not only was it extremely shorter than what I asked for, it was uneven. I won't be returning any time soon. If you care about your hair, you won't consider this place. The staff was very nice, but when I'm paying this much for a haircut I don't really care about the service as much as the actual cut. The results I got were comparable to going to Sport Clips. After growing out my hair for a couple months to achieve the desired length for a certain look, I'm starting over again farther back than where I started in the first place. Don't waste your money. I'm starting to feel like no one in Phoenix knows how to cut hair.

I've always considered myself to be a natural beauty, but after my haircut with Tamara I was shocked to see how much of me the world had been missing out on :) In truth, this is one of the few times I have felt at home in a professional environment. Salon RO5 treats every client like they deserve the luxurious treatment they are receiving. Noah was free to offer some much-needed advice, Rebecca (I believe that is her name?) was very friendly as soon as I walked in the door, and it is readily apparent when I look in the mirror that Tamara is a remarkably gifted stylist :) This place truly is as good as it gets, it was the bright spot of my day. Highly recommend.

VOLR Salon is amazing! I love the atmosphere, love the location in the Roosevelt district and right next to one of my favorite coffee shops (Lola); but mostly, Noah is amazing. He listens, has great ideas, and is a blast to talk to. I've never really enjoyed going to the salon before because I felt pressured or was unsure whether I'd like the end result, but Noah is the first stylist that I've really trusted with my hair. It always looks great after I've seen him, and his advice is right on the mark. He also really gets to know his clients, which makes going to see him feel like going to see an old friend. I highly recommend this place.

I was super nervous trying a new hair salon/stylist amid the pandemic. I walked in to see Salonro5 taking necessary precautions for COVID at this time, which was a relief. An even bigger relief was having Jo as my hair stylist. JO IS AMAZING & HAD MY HAIR LOOKING GREAT AFTER OUR SESSION! She knew exactly what I wanted without me having to fully explain & we talked the entire time like we had known each other forever. She made my experience the very best & I loved the result of my hair. I am already planning to go back to her for a bob & recommend her to everyone I know! All I have to say is Jo is amazing at what she does. I know sometimes I'm not the best when it comes to wording how I want my hair, she listens to me rant and spins my chair around and when she is finished it's like I'm a whole new person and she is the reason why I love going to get my haircuts with her. Ive been a client for about a year now. I can’t say enough good things; the natural sunlight in the salon perks me right up (or maybe that’s the complimentary glass of rosé) and the location is conveniently located on charming Roosevelt Row. On top of that I’m lucky enough to have Kristen as my stylist who is a magician at hair and the best conversationalist. Do your self a favor and get your hairs trimmed at Ro5 :)

I love how immaculately clean and organized Salon RO5 is and the decor is amazing. I have been going to salon for over a year now and notice each time I go the subtle changes. My stylist is amazing and I won't even say the name as I have tried all professionally trained stylists at this salon and have enjoyed a different take on my short thin hair. I'm new to town and needed a haircut badly. After some research I decided to try Ro5. I'm so glad I did! Tamara was great. She took time to really listen to what I wanted, and also gave some suggestions. The hair wash massage was incredible. I'm thinking of coming every month just for a hair wash! The cut is beautiful. The best hair salon in the valley, and trust you me, I've had my fair share! My stylist, Noah, was very nice, friendly, put a lot of effort into making my curls look and feel absolutely wonderful, and is extremely talented. The color and cut were beyond my expectations. Definitely recommend Noah, however everyone seemed very friendly! Will be returning in the very near future!

So glad I finally started coming here last year! My girlfriend and her brother had been going to RO5 for years. I was holding off because I wanted to find somewhere slightly cheaper, but I honestly love that it's local, close to home (I could walk there), and right next to one of my favorite coffee spots. This place is amazing!! I had 3 colors in my hair gray , brown, and store bought blonde lol. now my hair is amazing . Raphael blended the colors so I have no gray and made the colors look natural now. Highly recommend this salon for coloring & cuts. The people are very helpful and friendly.

Raffa is a new stylist who relocated from California now working in this salon... He is knowledgable and attentive. He gave me a great cut and covered some bad highlights I got from a previous person with a mixture of toners. I would highly recommend.

This salon has good hair dressers but there is a 72 hours window for cancellation and they were charge you the full price of whatever service you were going to do. I didn’t know about this, it wasn’t written on their website and wasn’t told to me.

I went in for the first time, my stylist was Sydney. Who is fabulous, great conversation. Made me feel as I’d been going to her for years. I got a woman’s cut and asked for bangs(1st timer) she did a fantastic job. Absolutely love my new look!!!
