For RVers- Yes it’s only a parking lot (no hookups!), yes it’s extremely expensive. But where else are you going to park this close to downtown?! We parked just for the day and only paid $25 since we stayed less than 16 hours. It’s walking distance to the McCormick Place metro (which cost $2/ticket to go downtown), and we felt our RV would be safe here considering Chicago can be pretty rough in some places. If you go to their website you can “reserve” a spot, but we just showed up with no reservation and there was essentially endless parking spots. I wouldn’t reserve online if you’re just there for the day in case your plans change and you decide to leave early!
We parked our RV here for the 24hours and it was nice. Not fancy, and a little noisy from the train that goes by often. But, it was safe and no one bothered us. We were able to walk to the bus stop to meet my daughter's friend and we also walked to the 31st St Beach, which was also nice. You can come and go whenever you like, walking or driving. At night and early in the morning, the gate is usually up, so just make sure to reserve online and you'll be fine.

If you picking up or dropping a load try to avoid this place. This isn't where the docks are but the staging area and check in. Very unorganized unprofessional place. Very hectic and will be delayed for hours for no reason at all. Place is out of control.
You gotta pay $35 to park in here and get scaled which is another $11. You can't get checked in without the scale ticket. If you are delivering to McCormick place. Pack a lunch its gonna be a while.
$25 for overnight semi parking check in at the building next to the entrance gate 6:00 am. Must have scale ticket before check in, they have a scale on site
I’ve been trucking about 6 years now, and this place is the absolute worst! You’ve been warned!
Be ready spend here a lot of time. A lot!
