I am disgusted at how I was treated today at the store by Spar Boston Employees! Thinking about it just situates tears in my eyes! In this new South Africa, I thought I'd never be racially profiled; the misconception that certain ethnic groups are more likely to shoplift than others should be seen as a crime against humanity! Customers who didn't look like me were not asked to pay first when buying Pizza, but I was asked to initially pay dissimilar to other customers, then come back to get my pizza. Why were other customers not asked to pay first? If we need to pay first, why don't you have the till next to the pizza station? And why do they need to pay first for Pizza? Post to getting my pizza, and paying for groceries, I was then interrogated by the other teller if I did pay for the Pizza, more insult to injury! Please Label That Sushi CONTENT! RAW COOKED VEGETARIAN + WHATS IN THE BOX. With anything new in life we try, it is helpful to read what one would be paying for. Not everyone is professional or well experienced in all. With attempts, explore, and venture, one gets there. I have approached management (2 different) and spoke to more than one supervisor and active floor staff to take to their attention. Spoke to the prep hand of the sushi. Maybe online may collect the appropriate attention. Please label sushi details. Which are vegetarian ? Which are cooked? Which are raw? No staff member return with a sushi question answered when they go query it at the owner/ management . They do not know the content either. Can not identify what crab is, if cooked or not.

I have been doing a lot of my daily shopping from Boston Spar the last few months and have been very impressed with the store and service of all employees. I purchased my weekly droewors from them during last week and unfortunately did not find it to be of the same quality that I normally receive from them. I was extremely impressed by how the manager that assisted me handled the situation and my complaint. My order was replaced without questions and was once again of high quality. The shop itself is spacious and clean and shelves are neat but don't be tempted to buy their hot food. All the meat dishes are sweet or smothered in a sweet sause. I have never had such terrible spring rolls and waffles. This am I went to inform the manager about the above. She was most helpful and very friendly. Even though I did not expect a replacement for my half eaten waffle she insisted I take something in its place. She and the shop chef also took note of my dislike of a sweet sauce on all the meat dishes.

Impressive, very neat and clean store. Reminds me of Woolworths. Some items are Woolworths prices too. Just kidding, there are some items that are super low cost eg Petals sanitary towels R6, 2kg cat food R89. Epic mayo R22. I went in for 1 item, left with many items. Staff is so helpful and friendly. Eg The lady last month that works at the butchery section, so sweet. I found her polishing the glass fridges, but went out of her way to get me the specials brochure. I looked out for her today but didn't see her.

I have been supporting this spar since it has opened and must say that I am most impressed with the service that they offer, the place is always clean, the staff are friendly and most helpful. They really go out of their way to ensure you have a wonderful shopping experience... Keep up the great work Spar, this could only mean much better bigger opportunities for both you and your customers moving forward..... As a first time customer at this spar a store manager confronted me and my husband well we are doing a small shopping the store manager Christopher ask if we are looking for someone as we reply no we all good he feels to follow us on the store the whole time as if we what to steal for us it feels like unwanted at the store for me personally it feel we as don't belong in the store I will not advise of my friend or family to go to that spar.

Die plek lyk pragtig. The food section needs some work. 1. Spice the lamb chops BEFORE you braai it. The sauce is not sufficient. 2. The ribs are being over-boiled in the back and not enough salt is being used. Also, the basting is the suitable for the ribs. (Would strongly recommend getting advise from Spar Oakdale on the cooking times and the basting). The rest is cool. Very well done and keep it up. Very cool.

spar boston the new is a very good and clean shop the reason for my 1 star is the manager christopher made us really unwelcome and uncomfortable by following us 70% of the time we were inside shop we felt like if he was thinking we wanna steal what was strrange he camed to us asking FOR WHO ARE WE LOOKING i dont wanna bring race in bt i didnt she he ask others that yoh was just very disappointed...

This was the most unpleasant experience I had in this so called NEW SHOP. There was no prices on vegetables or fruits and some of the food products. You have to walk to the other side of the shop to get a price and then walk back or wait till you get to the till to find out what the prices are . I saw 3 people leaving their trolleys and walking out of the shop Pathetic service.

We love Spar Boston they have all the produce you need you need including great service and good specials. Their best feature is definitely their pizza station. The only downside is that it can get very, very busy at the pizza station as they only have 1 oven, and this often causes a backlog.

Wow, what an amazing store. I have yet to see another Spar that is so big, so clean, and what a variety of goods. From cooked meals, sushi, great bakery section. Very spacious aisles, filled with a fantastic choice of goods. Very friendly and helpful staff and service is excellent.

Well done on upgrades and with building totally closed and bricked up on Voortrekker Rd, safe parking and very friendly staff. All four anything, and they will take personal attention to help you find your product. Hands-on manager and friendly smiles at paypoints.

Great store and service, but unfortunately it's not safe to park your car in front of the store. Valuable items was removed from my car by use of a jamming device between 14:00 and 15:00 on a weekday in the presence of the car guards.

Friendly and helpful staff, prepared food is well priced and delicious, good variety to. Well stocked and meat selection is great and good quality. Love the wine selection. Parking is safe and ample.

wow this new spar ensure there is always freshly baked rolls and other freshly made products. and its far to close to my house... meaning its to convient to pop in there quickly on the way home

The manager Morne is very rude, got an issue for money change and there was a 100r missing on the money they give back to me but refused to check cameras they take my money for nothing

Whatever you do DO NOT BUY MEAT FROM THIS SPAR. Today is the 3rd time I got rotten meat. I told my wife not to buy there and she did and rotten meat, yet again, was what we got.

Supermarket is clean and spacious. I was looking for Low Carb bread unfortunately they do not sell Banting Breads but they do have some other Banting Products.
