The store was well organized & team members were busily restocking merchandise. The deli displays looked appealing but the food trays weren't placed together which delayed in patron getting merchandise. The self checkout registered easily freezed up & resulted in team member walking numerous times to register in resolving the problem.
A Big supermarket where you can buy everything you need, very good quality ingredients. I love especially the fresh fruit salad made with organic products, dried fruits and juices. There are always promotions and deals, but mostly reserved for club members. The inconvenience: the drunks often settling in the entrance
Whoever manages this Safeway or whoever approves selling boxes that are not full, resealed with packaging tape, is cruel and try to fool consumers. Doesn't matter if you put them on the clearance aisle discounted. Those boxes contain less than what is written on their labels. What you are doing is criminal.
This place has the worst vibes and I will avoid at all cost. There is a clear lack of maintenance for the restroom area (including tissue and drying paper towel). But the most disappointing reason of all is the security that noticeably followed me around on each of 2 visits. Perhaps, I fit the description..
Unfortunately, terrible customer service, poor maintenance, and just a store left to its own device. A poor customer in front of me dropped some tomatoes and no one cared to help her pick them up. No cashiers to be found. Self checkout packed with customers left without a single team member to help.
Thankfully they are one of the rare stores to have green and red chilli peppers. I also like the drinks selection here. They have good options for wine. The area they can improve on is meat. I didn't find their meat and fish to be fresh few times. Overall a decent store.
I ordered a few items to pick up from your store to come to my house. The items never came. I called your store and the girl was nice but I have no resolution. It shows that my items are being delivered but it’s frozen so you know I have no nothing to do at this time.
Safeway in SW by the Waterfront metro station has been very socially responsible about setting up the store to remind people about about safety and security during these times. They have had supplies of everything we need, and they have very good customer service.
Sometimes some strange people are loitering around. However, the store is open at 6;00 am even on Sundays. You can find everything there - meat, fish, fresh produce, snacks and alcohol. Also some personal care, pets care and a lot of other stuff.
Went to safe way at 21:02 and went to self checkout to purchase red hot pepper and it said it needed an attendant and waited and waited and there was no body there was a lady and a gentleman standing by the customer care counter that worked
I would not recommend this Safeway to anyone. The quality of the food is fine, but the customer service and pick-up/delivery grocery service is horrendous. I have shopped there for a few months now but have finally decided to go to another
The location is great which often makes me wonder why there is a big issue with their stocking issues. It seems they are often out of laundry detergent and other daily household items. The service could also be better, some employees, more
Horrible customer service for most of the eight yrs I've even in the neighborhood. Otherwise the place needs a makeover and it is completely joyless. If you have a problem, whether it's at a self checkout machine that is not working (very
If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I am currently 7 deep in a line to check out, and they are CLOSING REGISTERS. At 8PM on a TUESDAY. It's a nice store and well stocked, but I have never in my life had to wait for so long to
This is a very nice clean store. Lots of choices except for small orange juice bottles. They only had Calcium added kind. But they had lovely fresh fruit in containers that were easily carried away. Great produce. Signs telling you where
While the store is clean and well maintained, since 2022 and the various supply chain issues of that time went away, I have been majorly disappointed with the excessive organic produce prices combined with unacceptable lack of freshness
My husband has been discriminated on here at this Safeway, the bad thing is he shops there all the time. Unfortunately we have to pay for bags in dc stores so most people have bags to carry there things which was purchased. However the
My daughters and I walked into the store with a man yelling violently at another person. The store was decently stocked. HBA was very out of stock. Nice selection of fruits and veggies. Checking out was a hassle. Did self checkout and
This place has a piece of everything. It was really close to my hotel while I was traveling in DC.People are nice here also the pharmacist in the back was really helpful in finding me a place to test Covid antigen testing. Very clean.
The City Vista Safeway or the 5th & L st NW Safeway... (There used to be a tradition of nicknaming Safeways in DC with an "S". (For example, "Soviet Safeway" or "Social Safeway") Not sure what this one would be. It's pretty nice but
Safeway as a grocery store is fine and good quality. However, this particular branch is one of the worst Safeway stores I have shopped at. Customer service is very bad, it's always an ordeal to get any type of service or help. Also,
Had everything needed for groceries. Slightly bummed by the prices and annoyed by the lack of transparency for regular, non member folks as all the price tags are for members and you have to dig in to find how much it costs for non-
Nice grocery store near my hotel so I could get cheaper food and snacks. Definitely a premium price compared to a more suburban location, but convenience was worth it. Much cheaper than restaurants.
Great 24 hour location on the same street as a Capital One Bank and a Chipotle's to name a few. There is underground parking, curbside meter parking and a public parking lot across the street.
Great. I got a Covid 19 booster short here. It was great. The staff was very nice and polite. This place has variety of fresh food
Trader Joe's is way better than Safeway. The general atmosphere of the store is not relaxing, employees shouting at each other.
I like how they have a big variety of products and also they have their own brand which was cheaper than the regular ones.
In the time it takes to check out I could've walked across town to someplace better. Too many unused registers!
Good clean grocery store. They've been out of business in Virginia. Nice to see them still around here.
All good but for the prices. Nice employees and all but store brands significantly higher than giant.
