Truly a wonderful experience. As soon as you get on, it's wonderful to know you have reserved spots. The great thing about the train is while at first we were on the side away from the river, about halfway through it crosses a bridge and you get the river and valleys on your side for the rest of the way. Gorgeous views of the trees, mountains and flowing river. Certainly a must do if you visit Kyoto.

Highly recommended for those who travel with kid, very beautiful scenery. I came in summer so it’s a bit hot and the tree is green only, assuming it will be much better in autumn when trees have different color and temperature is not 35 degree.

A me non è piaciuto. Non ti danno mai posti vicini, non si vede quasi nulla tra gallerie, rocce, montagne. Se non ti butti addosso alla persona vicina al finestrino non vedi nulla. Non vale il prezzo pagato (880 yen a persona)

Coole alte Eisenbahn die direkt am Fluss fährt. Der Schaffner erzählt viel über, keine Ahnung leider nur in Japanisch aber das ist für diese Region nunmal so. War trotzdem gut.

到京都旅遊，一定要乘搭嵐山小火車。強烈建議出發到日本前先購票，而且是由龜岡站前往嵯峨站，因方便到終站後漫步到竹林小徑，而購票優次為：A、D、B、C，方便觀賞浴途風景(如經klook、kkday網購，則不能選擇座位)。車上的旁述員臨到終站前，會唱山歌，增添氣氛。

京都到「JR京都車站」→ 於31~34月台搭乘JR嵯峨野線到「JR馬堀站」下車 → 步行5分鐘至「嵐山小火車 龜岡站」→ 搭乘小火車到「嵐山小火車 嵐山站」 ：嵯蛾野Torokko小火車 ： 龜岡站➡️ 嵐山站 ⏰：車站營業時間（嵯峨站：08:40；嵐山站：8:50；龜岡站：9:00） ：一人¥620円

在kkday 預訂車票班次，到車站售票口出示手機連結的座位號碼，確認後等時間到就可以搭車，非常方便，在竹林小徑旁也有一個上車地點，但kkday 網路訂票的乘車點在這個位置。 P.s 跟嵐山JR 位置很接近，但是不同車站

坐JR山陰本縣到馬堀，再走路到小火車龜岡站，小火車經過保津峽，夏天一片綠油油，不過還是值得來坐一趟
