I decided to return an unworn pair of tennis shoes I bought from this very troublesome store location. After waiting for what seemed to be forever (two cashiers) I was motioned over with my shopping bag. I took out the box of shoes and handed them to the woman cashier. The cashier looked at the clearly unused and to be nothing more than trifling decided to walk off with the shoe and ask the rent-a- security guard what appeared her/he’s opinion?! Then the cashier in the tightest form fitting unprofessional attire came back and said the shoes I tried on only once in the store and had complete sticky price tags and other tags securely affixed, told me they were worn?!! I said what?? I was shocked to hear. I asked to speak to a manager and she said she was a manager. I then asked to speak to a blond male manager I saw walking around who I figured was a manager and she then asked “why do I need to speak with him when I said I won’t accept the return?”. She told me he was unavailable! (I saw him walking around downstairs!). Needless to say, I proceed to ask her name, it’s Cass she replied and offered to write it down for me. I then took the shoes and went down stairs located Alex and he knew clearly the shoes were not worn and came upstairs to process the refund. Alex, seemed embarrassed and frustrated. I believe he was German in accent, new in the area, and most likely did not have much experience working with ignorant DC urban ghetto woman retail employees. The worst management and employees I ever witnessed or encountered in a major retail outlet store.
The customer service at this store sucks, really sucks, it is 0! I tried to buy a few items yesterday evening and I couldn’t find a pair of shoes in the size I need. I asked the cashier if she can order it online but she says no because the store would close at 7pm and it was 6:55pm. Then, I decided to buy a few other items, the lady was so rude and hostile during whole transaction. She made a few mistakes herself and blamed me for her mistakes. I said I have my rewards card and she was upset that she had to scan all the items again that i didn’t tell her beforehand. It’s not my mistake, I was waiting to enter it but she never asked me or let me. Then, she tried to charge me more for the items and I said they were on sale then again she was upset that I didn’t tell her beforehand now that she has to rescan them again. Anyway, I knew she was tired and trying to get out but I was trying to purchase my items and get out as well and I am spending money there. She was so ridiculous person that she has no customer service skills at all. A manager was nearby and was covering for her as well. No professionalism at all at this store. The manager and her both lied and blamed me for their mistakes. I will never shop at this store! I asked their names and they wouldn’t give their names either. After asking for their supervisor only the manager would give me a made up name. Ridiculous people and really bad customer service. I will not shop at this store! Avoid at all cost!!!
my fiancé purchased me a red Versace book bag a couple months ago. With in the first month I got it right above the zipper just breaking and ripping. First i talked to assistant manager at saks because the manager was not in and they said they would not take it back after spending 900$. I brought it to Versace in Tysons 2 VA they said they would have to ship it out to get repaired and it would take 4-8 weeks I spent 135$ to get it fixed. It took looking than 8 weeks and now my Versace bookbag is ripping again this is unacceptable when spending 900$ on a bookbag. I would really like the manager to reach out and do something for me because I know I don’t want to spend another 135 trying to get it fixed again. Especially when the manager should of took it back anyways for my troubles.
Store is consistently jumbled with clothing and in disarray, unlike other locations, including Potomac Mills. Additionally, the store is a crash and burn for women sizes in couture fashion, despite having requested price-point clothing from Lafayette 148, Marina Rinaldi, Jean-Marc Philippe, and a host of others that were once carried faithfully by Filene's Basement and are still carried at other Off 5th locations. Store is a waste, especially with Nordstrom's Rack next door. In addition to listening to customer requests for designers, styles, and fabrics (LOVE the cashmere stock brought in next door to Off 5th), the staff is friendly, and the store is clean. If you cannot make it to Potomac Mills, skip the headache of trying to shop in this store.
I placed an order for a suite case set, and some other items . I received everything but not the suite cases . I called and the call center there jerked me around by placing me on hold for 30-40 minutes, telling me to call back ,giving me a tracking number we’re there Staus never changed, when I got a hold of fedex they told me they never send out the items. I called and had to beg to talk to an supervisor, to end up with no product and have to wait for 10-14 days to get my money back. Asks off 5th seams like a sketchy place to order. I was not given a phone number in the USA and it was very hard to Converse with the representative because the English very I will never buy anything from soaks off 5th.
This place is not a good place to shop! The service here at 11th and E is terrible! I had a bad experience recently and returned to the store to have yet another bad experience. Part of the reason to coming to a place like this where the merchandise is still expensive is the quality of service. The only person in the store who greeted me was the security guard for obvious reasons. The Nordstrom Rack in comparison offers way better service and it’s only a block away. I’ve never had the issues there that I’ve had at the store. I spoke to the management and didn’t have a good experience in that regard either. I’ve read several other reviews on this location and it seems as though I am not alone.
In the interest of fairness, I'm posting a 5 star review here to offset Margaret Green's bogus, politically-biased review from a few months ago that has absolutely nothing to do with this store. Boycott a business all you like, but giving them a bad review (slander, basically) for nothing other than carrying a brand label that you don't like is absurd. It's the equivalent of blasting Whole Foods for carrying a particular bottle of wine that you didn't like the taste of. Unnecessary and childish. However, I'm happy that she ran her mouth...I'll be heading to Saks Off 5th to make a GIGANTIC purchase of as much Ivanka Trump merchandise as I possibly can. Thanks for the tip, girlie!
Customer service is the worst. Especially, the lady with an earring in her noise. I went 3 times to this store, and is always the same. The lady I just mentioned is a cashier with really bad actitud, whatever you ask for she is rolling her eyes, she does not help at all. This morning I went for a size exchange and she wanted me to pay extra. I told her that it was only an exchange, I had to reach her supervisor to fix the problem because she didn’t care. If she does not want to work why is she there? The management should control all these issues. I will never go back to that store, she is getting pay because of customers, and she does not deserve a penny.
On Monday 6/17 at 7:50 pm, I came to this store for a return. I would not go back again a I experienced the worst costumer service ever. The first cashier was very rude and threw the necklace i was returning on the table saying I’m not taking this with a head shake and attitude and left to the next register for the next customer. The supervisor came and was even worse in communication and customer service. This is Saks but surely felt worse than Walmart! I would give this store an F for customer service and reading through other reviews it appears that this is how they run this store.
Asked for assistance in the fine jewelry department and was met with a haughty and short response from the associate who seemed all but interested in showing me a bracelet. She scoffed and stated that it would not fit me as it was a size extra small but informed me that I “could still see it if I wanted to”. Based off of her tone and attitude I declined and said not to worry with it. Having 5+ years in retail experience myself I know the importance of good customer service and nowhere does it involve making a customer feel like the are bothering you, even in a discount store.
I currently work at this location, and this is by far the worst saks off 5th ever! I’ve worked retail before and nothing is worse than this store. The customers are beyond disgusting. The store is very disorganized, on top of that management is extremely poor. We’re completely understaffed, the manager won’t hire any help and the employees are expected to pick up the slack. We don’t get paid enough to bend over backwards for this company! I preferred working at Nordstrom Rack. They honestly need to just close this store down. Worse location ever!
The male cashier was very rude. I was next in line, so I waited patiently to be called to the register. After he finished with the other person he yells out "You ready ", with a sort of base tone in his voice. My response was "Good Day". He proceeded to ring my items all the while he's giving me this nasty look. I'm certain that being rude and having an attitude is not in the training manual. I will not be shopping at Saks anymore, I can take my money to somewhere else where customer service is a priority.
Nice clothes enough to make you want to try them all on. All the attendants accused us of stealing and kept glaring at us because we went into the dressing rooms “too much”. They said we left our clothing everywhere and we definitely did not. The workers were rude and stand-offish. They got security and their managers involved. Over priced clothing, but the security guard was very nice and even told us about the weather. He should get a raise. We give one star for the security guard.
The staff didn't speak except the girl at the counter was so nice... redeeming factor. It was depressing in there. It felt like I was in a basement where they sell stolen merch, and it was all clothes for someone much older. I was hoping to find a hip birthday dress, but to no avail. It would be a great place for Barbara Bush to have gone if she wanted to feel like she was buying a wool suit on the sly. Lol! Good sunglasses selection.
Store cashier: 551858 Demi , cashed us out and left the receipt on the register and turned to her Co-worker and started talking and laughing on how her co-worker burned her arm. The longest 30 sec of my life standing there wondering if she was going to hand me my receipt. So I REACHED OVER the register and grabed it myself. I would not be surprised if this place gets ROBBED and they did not know. THANKS DEMI.
They miss tag items and blame you when you get to the checkout. Found an item that was priced well below market (thought I got a steal at “OFF” saks) but the cashier decided that was too cheap and said they can’t sell it for that price. End of story. People behind me in line overheard and told the cashier that’s false advertising, she said it is what it is! I’ll go somewhere else when I want to shop
We were in town from out of state for a work conference, and we decided to do a little shopping. We stopped in to do a bit of shopping and did not regret it!! I hit some of the best designer sales I’ve seen in my life. And Tina, the store manager, was phenomenal. Top notch customer service that you would expect from a high-end department store. Absolutely will be returning when I’m in town again next year!
It is so sad that I have passed the store a million times and never went in until it that day that I went in looking for a white handkerchief to go on my security shirt to keep the collar from getting dirty and guess what I got the last package God is good and I will always go back to the store even though I had to walk several blocks but hey I like to walk kudos to the store

The selection is pretty bleak. Considering how there is a Saks in Chevy Chase and one in Tyson's, you'd think the inventory would better. Don't expect much more than Saks branded clothing, low-end designer brands, and maybe a rare gem or two. If you're in the area, it may be worth visiting, but don't make a trip out to visit.
Terrible shipping from this store for my $1000 bag.They didn't ship it in a box carefully .They shipped it like garbage and came in with damage.They just put that bag in plastic bag and shipped.No paper wrapping or bubble plastic wrapping .How can they do that? Also they did not take out sensor thing too.OMG OMG OMG
Compared to other saks stores this one’s super tough to navigate. None of the clothes have any organization so finding your size means going through every single item on the shelf. It would be nice if it was clean and organized like other saks, and if they listed the sizes like most retail stores
have the worst return policies of any major retailers, required the tags to be on sunglasses even though it is store policy to cut the sticker tag when purchase with out telling. I thought this was weird so I purposely kept the tag after they cut and even then they wouldn't accept the return
Well laid out store, very clean, organized, and easily accessible from the metro. Versatile but small selection--limited per brand and type. Customer service is OK, but nothing memorable, just passable. No one who worked there seemed enthused to be there or eager to meet/greet guests.
Closing time posted online is 8PM. Swung by at 7 PM on a Wednesday to make a return and was abruptly told by the security guard that I could not enter because they were closing at 7. This was a 60 minute round trip drive just to be turned away... Please post accurate times online.
Glad to see that they have a nice outlet store like this downtown. Really decent selection of products for this type of store, but, if you look hard enough, you might just find something worthwhile. I think that the selection of designer sunglasses alone is worth a visit.

Has the style I want @ the price point that's reasonable. If you have specific items in mind then it's hit or miss, but if open minded it's a treasure trove of fashion brands! Staff is cool and helpful but out of the way! Respectful & courteous. Love this location
Terrible customer service. I wanted to replace a shirt for a bigger size but was denied as the tag was not attached. I had the tag along with the receipt but the manager denied to exchange for a larger size. The tag could literally be tied again on the shirt.
It's fine, sometimes you can find good deals on name-brand clothing and accessories. You have to watch out for items that are not really original Saks Fifth Avenue, some items are aspirational name brand and created specifically to be in this kind of store.
Awful customer service. I came to return two items, got attitude from the cashier. I wanted to try a designer bag before purchasing it as final sale, they refused to unlock it for me. I stood around for 15 minutes as they “looked” for a key. Won’t be back.

Today I came into the store looking for jewelry as a gift for a friend and Garrison was helping me. I found out about a marked down price and I got a great deal! So happy with my purchase. Definitely coming back to this location.
The worst Saks off 5th. This place needs to be closed ASAP. So no one can help to sell the fine Jewerly except the manager. I had to wait an hour for the manager whiles the sales reps were standing doing nothing and chatting .
A wide array of stylish clothing for men and women at significantly reduced prices. Some items are still fairly expensive though in my estimation. I'll certainly shop here when looking for something more unique.

Shop here if you want to wait in line for 20-30 minutes to check out. Their selection is worse than ever- you can get most of the same brands at Nordstrom Rack down the block for cheaper and better service.
This is the only location I have had the pleasure of doing at and I'm pretty sure I'm going to keep it that way. Everyone is so nice and extremely helpful. I never walk out empty handed or with regrets.
Sales lady was very very rude. If you need help she will never ever help. And gave you weird excuses such as you have to wait until no customers. How come there are no customers in the store on Sunday.

Lots of high end items like Burberry coats, Valentino rockstuds, Prada, but prices were near retail. First floot staff is attentive, but basically no staff in the basement by clothes and shoes.
The store is trash, one of the worst shopping experiences in history. It looks like smokers live in the store. Nothing that is advertised is actually in the store. Don't waste your time.
Honestly I was unimpressed with the selection. So many generic brands with largely inflated orignal prices that were heavily discounted back to the same pricebyou would pay normally.
Not as expensive as the original saks.. everything is discounted since it's not in current season.. but i liked my pick.. just needed some shades and there was a very big selection
Nice store and nice quality and quantity but t by the store needs more women sizes..xl,xxl and plus size. I'm sure regular Saks accommodates everyone and doesn't discriminate.
Lack of customer service. Cashier ignores customers and was very rude. She refused to let me speak with a manager and said she was the only one at the store, which was a lie.

Saks’ brand men’s dress shirts and pants are excellent. You can find good prices on these here. If you can catch a sale, the deals are incredible!
