I had the worst experience at this Salon. Firstly, I turned up @1210pm for a 1220pm booking to be told by the owner Ava that my appointment was 1230pm and I was early. She proceeded to tell me to sit in a chair not politely I must add but rather abruptly. I had specifically booked the senior hairdresser Zahra to be told no it was someone else - somehow she altered the names on the booking and tried to make it sound like I had no choice. I would like to point out that I had previously tried to make the booking over the phone of which again, she tried to hurry me up and was extremely rude and impatient so I gave up and booked on line (copy of booking attached). The owner yelled at me and told me she had it on screen that I was not booked with Zahra instead Leila whom I might add was very nice. What I am particularly annoyed and upset is the way I was treated by Ava. She is young and very inexperienced in dealing with customers. In fact, while I was sitting there she was complaining about another customer wanting to use her Groupon twice. This is not the way to carry on in front of customers & staff. She needs to be mindful of the fact that people feel uncomfortable listening to the owner talking about her customers in a negative way and does not help her business. I would recommend extensive training & good manners might help! Stay AWAY!!!! I don't usually write reviews but this business is so appalling that I feel compelled to warn people. If I could give this 1/2 star I would. Made an appointment to have eyelash extensions done, arrived there and they refused to do it, saying that I have got contact lenses on. Never mentioned it when booking appointment. I have gone for eyelash extensions many times...never a problem with contact lenses. This is the worse business ever. She was extremely rude. Hello, we are paying customers, a little respect would go a long way! Also they have an online service for booking and I wanted to have it done at other times but they said they were fully booked but clearly the times were still available on the booking system .I mentioned I had a groupon voucher before that & obviously that was the reason that advised they were fully booked on all other times and dates which was incidentally valid for Groupon! (even though you could still book online) Why bother offering groupon promotions then? She then flippantly said no problem...'ask for the groupon refund!' In essence she meant... who cares? 'We are not interested in your business!!' Extremely horrible customer service, rude, arrogant & dishonest. In this day & age, Salon 460 is the loser because they dont understand customer service. Please take your business elsewhere, heeding my advise will be the best thing you've done!!!!

The ladies were very kind, sociable and helped me figure out exactly what I wanted. I informed them that I had some work to do and they provided me with a lap cushion so that I'd be able to type more comfortably while they were highlighting my hair, which I really appreciated. I also really appreciated the care with which they washed my hair - really careful not to allow water to drip down my face, into my ears, or onto my clothes. As someone with really long hair I know some stylists can get frustrated with how tangly it is after washing it; they were so patient and gentle with the detangling process !!! (This is usually what damages my hair since its so fine.) They were also very understanding with my anxiety when it came to cutting length off. I am so happy with the result, the experience and the color came our exactly like the photo I showed them :) It was worth the trip. These photos don't do it justice.

First appointment was fine, the staff were friendly and helpful but I probably should have read these reviews before I bought a double coupon; reading the below my second appointment makes sense as I too had the same experience as the below. Despite having my appointment card with a stipulated time for refills I arrived on time and was told that I was late and was considered a no show . My appointment was assigned 10 minutes prior. Once I substantiated that my time was justified by producing my appointment card I then realised I should have walked out as the customer service failed dismally. The infills require half of the eyelash extensions to be still in place (mine fell out after a week) No compromise was offered, just blatant rudeness- I then walked out. I wouldn't bother visiting this salon and luckily have informed a friend that almost booked an appointment for the same service and told all my friends.

Just a total waste of time. I tried to book my eyelash extensions using Groupon voucher, lady gave me appt for nearly after 3 weeks to begin with, then on the day of appointment I rocked up 5 minutes early, cancelling all my other work related appointments, door was locked and once I got in, one of the ladies told me that that can't do the job today as their worker who does the extensions had an accident that morning...!! I was upset and told them that I have been waiting for this from last 3 weeks and had actually lost the reason why I was getting it done anyways, her response was "we are very busy salon and these things happen in business"...!! Being a business owner myself I know, this is the biggest bull excuse any business owner/staff would give to their customers. No prior phone calls, no sorry..!! Such a waste of time. Would never go there ever. Unfriendly, rude, arrogant staff.

i had no real issues with the salon, the staff didnt really chat with me but i assume as i was getting my lashes done they'd rather you not talk, as well as the fact that there were a lot of regulars in the store that they were all chatting with, love my lashes and got everything done nice and fast. A little weitd getting your lashes done in the middle of a salon with people all around, most places ive been to take me to a separate area, but i read these reviews before hand and i was a little worried when i really shouldn't have been.

Bought a Groupon voucher for this salon. Horrible experience before it even begun. I have tried contacting them one week in a row. 3 attempts everytime. Left a message and still no return. Lastly I tried booking from the online system writing in the comments about how I tried calling and if they will honour the voucher . Call me on mobile number xxx if there's any issue. No call, and my booking suddenly disappeared a day later. I tried again and does the same. I wonder if this is a scam of some sort. Please get back to me otherwise.

Do not under any circumstances get a Groupon voucher for this place, as it is an actual scam. The website states that it isn't valid unless you call to make an appointment, however, nobody answers the phone. I called ten times during business hours over a period of two days and not once was a call answered. I left two messages stating my phone number and asked them to call back and nobody did. I am convinced they just want to sell Groupons that nobody can redeem. Please do not buy ANY VOUCHER for this salon. It is literally a scam.

Omg this salon is sooooooooo bad!!!! Very rude staff!!!!!! I really don't recommend this place to anyone!!! Even if it was free I wouldn't go! Really they just don't know how to treat customers the right way. They are so not professional ! I did my hair at this salon and it wasn't done well so I asked to fix it but they didn't wanted to do free of charge. It was there mistake so I wasn't happy about it. I have been having my hair colour, cuts and blow waves with Zahra for the past 12 months and she is incredible. Always so happy with the attention to detail, communication in each consultation and the happy environment of the Salon. I highly recommend Salon 460 to anyone that takes pride in their hair! I called up salon 460 asking if they’d be able to tone my hair which would cost around $50 to $70, they said they wouldn’t be able to tone it and they’d have to do a colour correction which would cost up to $300 they also said they had no time available today (when I didn’t ask to book). I then called up volume hair on chapel street and they are more than happy to tone my hair and squeeze me in today.

Rude! Unforgiving, and refused to honour my appointment. Couldn't find parking that was longer then 1hr (which for a hair appointment you definitely need more) When I finally did, they wouldn't take my appointment, even when I told them it would be ok if they didn't blow-dry my hair, which usually takes quite a while. I rather let my toddler cut my hair then ever go back.

I have been coming to Salon 460 for 3 years after purchasing a Groupon voucher to get my eyelashes done. Ava is the best eyelash technician and is brutally honest with what would best suit my eyes and face. I walk out looking like a glamour queen rather than a drag queen everytime. Extremely professional and warmest environment without being pretentious.

The high level of customer service as well as colouring of my hair were both excellent in salon. I absolutely love this place!! It took me many years to find the right person to trust to colour my hair. She was polite and informative around colours that would work around my natural hair colour,chatty and friendly throughout the time I was there.

Ava is absolutely amazing! The best and longest lasting eyelash extensions I have found in Melbourne. She also does the most thorough threading job you can imagine! She’s truly the best - and a fraction of the cost of other places I have been. Zahra is also wonderful, though I’ve only had my hair coloured and a blow wave once, it was perfect

The worst experience I've ever had. Stay far away! The staff are so rude and obnoxious I could not believe it! They stood and smirked at me as they blatantly lied at me. Hairdressing is mediocre, the one exception is Kelly, who is a good stylist. I used to be a return customer, but I will be finding somewhere else. Unbelievably poor.

I’ve been going to salon 460 for years now. Zahra is fantastic. People always ask me all the time where I get my hair cut and coloured . I love the friendly feel at the salon. walk out looking and feeling fabulous every time.The scalp massage and tea and chocolate are a great touch. Looking forward to going back. Highly recommended.

I love my hair. Zehra did exactly what I asked for. I saw a bad review on their website and asked Zahra why people are so nasty. This lady had a Groupon cheap deals. She was half hour late for her appointment. They have back to back appointments so this messed up their entire schedule but she still had to complain.

Came in for a boy's haircut because it was open on Monday, and our regular place was closed. It didn't look very good from the outside and quite old from the inside, but the lady did such a good job, that we forgot about the interior design. She was also very welcoming. We will probably come again.

Very happy with the service, friendliness and professionalism exhibited by staff. From the moment my daughter and I walked in we felt at ease and welcome. Love the haircut and a big thank you to Kelly for making my daughter feel super special with her "Ilsa" hair. All round good experience.

Every time I needed a haircut I'd go where I could. I was never that person that preferred a particular hairdresser. But now after 3 years of going to this salon I will never go anywhere else. Best service and friendly staff. Pricing is very fair as well.

I went here last week and I could not be happier. My hair hasn't looked and felt this good in years, they really know their stuff and give a damn. The atmosphere was awesome and adored the staff. I am no longer fishing around for a good salon, loved it!

Zahra is great. Very talented and professional hairdresser. The only place I go to get my hair done. They really genuinely cares about you and your hair, very friendly I really impressed by the high quality customer service . Highly recommended.
