"This place has so many staples if you're looking to make Chinese or Vietnamese cuisine"
"Nice grocery store"
"Wow, completely remodel inside"
"Everytime when I go into this market, it's smelled so bad"
"A true pan-Asian grocery that includes some of my favorites: bulk instant noodles (Korean, Thai, Chinese, Japanese brands), Healthy Boy Mushroom Soy Sauce (Thai) and Three Ladies Rice Vermicelli (Vietnamese) at affordable prices"
This place has so many staples if you're looking to make Chinese or Vietnamese cuisine. They have an entire aisle of sauces, spices and seasonings to help you create your perfect dish as well as many kinds of ramen, various noodles both fresh and dried and so many spices - including galanga which I searched San Francisco for high and low before realizing it's right here. There are tons of rice varieties, vegetarian meat substitutes and prepared spring rolls, too. There's a meat counter but since I eat vegetarian 95% of the time I've never never bought meat here. They also have housewares, too. I'm stoked to have this spot in the neighborhood. I've been coming here for eight years now. What I really like are the staff and owners here. They're good folks and very kind.
Nice grocery store. This is Asian grocery store. They have live fish and seafood. For some items if you pay cash it is cheaper. It is pretty neat inside. it is considered small for asian grocery store but the item the offer are pretty wide varieties. It has most regular groceries stores have. Parking sometimes could be a challenge since not much spaces on the premises but you can always park closed by.
Wow, completely remodel inside. Very impressive! No more holes on the floor, and the new shelfing units makes this place looks much bigger. Organizations is much better than before. Much easier to find what you want. Various Asian spices selection. Pricing is fairly reasonable. Has its own parking area, big plus for that !
Everytime when I go into this market, it's smelled so bad. It's really stinky. I don't understand how can the staffs work inside. I am wondering how fresh is the food can be. I can't even stand it and I end it walk out the market. I attempt to give few chances, but unfortunately I just can handle the stinky smell.
A true pan-Asian grocery that includes some of my favorites: bulk instant noodles (Korean, Thai, Chinese, Japanese brands), Healthy Boy Mushroom Soy Sauce (Thai) and Three Ladies Rice Vermicelli (Vietnamese) at affordable prices. I make a monthly trek for the selection alone!
There's this horrendous smell inside the market! Place is unsanitary especially the raw meat and live seafood section. I've got no choice but to shop here as it's the closest Asian market to get the usual Asian groceries. Also, prices are cheap. Tradeoffs unfortunately.
I came up to the counter asking the owner ( male with glasses ) for a 50 pounds Jasmine brand rice. He said he cannot sell it unless I purchase it with other items. I don't think this is a legal practise and I don't know why he can get away with this policy.
More expensive than I bought from Mei Wah on Clement Street. The staff are not friendly especially the couple who are at the Lotto counter. They must be the owner. They are quite rude. I asked some help but they showed rude manner. I won't go there anymore.
This asian market has many of asian condiments and groceries, except, the service seems to be very poorly managed and I feel like sick just walking through the meat section. The cleaniness of this place is definately gross.
You can find so many products at high prices, but the cherry on top is the smell. I went shopping for some products and my coworker near vomited as she attempted to walk into the grocery store. The smell is so overwhelming.
Staff is nice. Lines are short. I like being able to pick up things from here that aren't at very many locations or are hard to find. I could name a few but honestly, go there and look around. Great meat selection too.
Good place for what it is, Chinese/Asian grocer with fresh meat and seafood section. A lot of fresh fruit and veg outside tho more veg inside. People were generally socially distanced and all masked, certainly staff.
This is the best market ever - has the most obscure asian foods that you cannot find at any store in the US. They have the best and freshest crab right now and WOW - highly recommend - best crab I've ever tasted!
My go to place for asian grocery. They have a parking lot which I don't use since I live a block away xD. The boss is always nice and ordered more of the kitkat or ice cream I like when I mentioned they were out.
The customer service is more then also me they except me in as is I was a long time customer. And I just got to say I just wasn’t expecting it and if you are in to the lottery they are very lucky retailer
They charge extra fee if you pay with your credit card. Today I was trying to buy a bag of Jasmine Rice. The cashier said they need to charge $1.00 for credit transaction. I didn't buy it of course.
Love the new renovation, because honestly it was in need of it. The old place made you question the sanitary practices. But the newly upgraded equipment and paint adds a fresh comforting ambience.
This place had everything I needed, the cashier was pleasant, I did get propositioned for sex by a fellow customer as I was leaving...not sure if that was a bad thing or simply a compliment....
San Bruno market is on San Bruno avenue in San Francisco and the Portola district is a Asian grocery and fish market prices are reasonable silver avenue is two blocks north of its location.
Very peculiar smell permeates this place. Prices are somewhat high, especially compared to the smaller store nearby (across from the breakfast place). Parking lot is a big plus though.
Been coming here as long as I can remember. Parking can be horrid at times as it is along this area of San Bruno. Good place for fresh meat. Wouldn't reccomend much else from here
Not sure why people hate it. Local market with real people doing business, not some corporation-"customer is king"-policy. Good selection of Vietnamese ingredients and goods
My wife is Chinese I'm African-American but she could find the foods of her culture here very good place to shop the prices are a little high but you get what you pay for
I love the frog legs they sale, I take them home, clean them, marinate them and fry them right on up! Let me know forget to mention, they sale my coffee... Cafe du Monde!
Great local mom and pop place to shop with parking. Has mostly everything I need ands they are organized and clean with a variety of different things available.
They kick people out before store closing time. They are super unhelpful and talk crap about you in Vietnamese thinking you don't understand. Well I do …
Very clean and organized Chinese / Asian market! Was able to find all my fresh ingredients I was looking for. Has live fresh seafood in the back too!
Very nice selection of Asian and western grocery needs. Lots of frozen stuff for hot pot. Owners are nice and it’s clean. Weekly if not daily go to!
A great supermarket that has a lot of fresh products to buy. You can find everything from cookies to seafood. Good customer's service and friendly.
Pretty complete, especially Asian foods, fresh produce, meat counter (mainly pork), and fresh Asian baked goods. Extensive Chinese Viet products.
If you love cooking Asian food this is one of the best store to buy for. The owner is very nice we had a very great time made us laugh.
Good store, I buy my favorite snacks there! (And soy sauce too) I’ve been to China and that store is exactly same as in china! Love it
I love this place. They have the freshest filet of sole fish and I got assistance with things to buy for chow mein and how to fix it!
Local stores that thrive are no accident Produce and meats too expensive in chain stores Very competitive so fare is always top grade
Love this market and the many options. The meat market is great especially in a community where fresh food isn't readily available.
It's not a big market. It's clean except the live seafood area. Water is all over the floor. There is a parking lot for customers.
They Have Great Customer Service and Tons Of Imported Candies and Snacks That You Can't Just Find Anywhere Else In San Francisco
Parking isnvery hard to get. Prices are often higher than your regular asian store and i question the quality of what they sell.
You got to watch out the expiration date, found expired product on the shelf very offten. Other then that, this place is great
Couldn’t stay there even for a few minutes. This shop stinks really horrible. Don’t think I’d ever comeback there again.
As I entered the market I was politely handed a number to hold my bag. Many items and a healthy place to buy foods.
I currently walk with a walker and two of the workers kindly helped me and my groceries to my Lyft ride. Thanks!
Im not boogie so this mom n pop works 4 me...just the smell can b hard to handle if your not used to seafood.
Don’t go here if you’re African American they make you take off your bag but if you’re asian they won’t.
If your looking for armadillo this is the place to go, Right in the freezers nearest the cash register.
I go grocery shopping for my house there and have been getting fresh veggies and other things there.
I have been coming here for years and they stay consistent with the products and customer service.
Bad environment. Massive of insects fly in the air. The price don't have any competitive strength.
They are very busy. But thank you for staying late so we can go last minutes shipping after work.
My children and me got food poisoning after we ate the fish I bought from San Bruno Supermarket.
Looking for Asian food? This is it, the only place around that sells authentic Asian food.
Good place to go for groceries in San Bruno neighborhood, just need to fight for parking
Incredible selection of Asian noodles and sauces. Fresh seafood and great fresh prawns.
The best for all of your Asian/ islander groceries! Millionaires made there, lottery.
I love this local portola market, fresh meat and produce and friendly service always
This place is great for Chinese staples, and the parking lot is much appreciated

Great place to get asian food items at an affordable price.
They are just renovated. Nice for shopping asian groceries.
Great place for Asian foods and cheap live crab in season.
