I don’t like leaving low stars as I don’t always think it’s constructive however I have had so many challenging experiences with this surgery. So I find the system in place to book appointments rather counter productive, the option to book future appointments on the app is good BUT it’s hit and miss whether anything is available, at the moment only flu jab appointments are available. Most appointments you must book on the day, how do you do that if you have a job? I can’t spend 30 minutes on the phone waiting. I also need to book time off, hard to do on the day of. Perhaps you could resolve this by allocating more future appointments rather than appointments on the day? Most dr’s appointments are not emergency’s so the current system seems slightly silly. So the other issue is of mental health, I know the nhs in general has come on leaps and bounds in this subject but it has a very long way to go. And your local surgery should be prepared. I take medication for anxiety as a result of trauma. The type of medication I take, you cannot skip 2 days or more, without potentially serious adverse reactions from shaking to the worst - suicidal thoughts. Baring this in mind, whilst living the busy lives we do I noticed I’d unknowingly run out of medication. I ordered some and got on with life, I turned up at the pharmacist to be told I was having a medication review. (48hours with no medication) -What does this mean? -The dr needs to discuss your medication with you. (Go into the surgery) -So I’m assuming the dr will call me -No you need call the surgery between 8am-11am - but I need to get the medication now it’s potentially very dangerous -you need to call the surgery ……. Parrots the same sentence. (Without making eye contact.) So I think, what’s another 24hours, I wake up the next day, visibly shaking but I have an important client meeting. As I’m driving, I put the phone on speaker and at exactly 8am I call the surgery, I’m on hold for 35minutes. I give my info, the woman on the phone takes them (I know she did, as she said ‘ yes, what can I do.’ At that point she says ‘ you’re cutting out.’ And the phone goes dead. I wonder to myself if she’ll call back. Of course not. I cancel my meeting and drive to sandsend health clinic, shaking, crying on the verge of a panic attack. As I walk in, the receptionist sees me and pretends to put something in the printer. (I’m clearly not the first irate patient.) The poor girl is terrified but I can’t calm down. She clearly had no training in deescalation. I needed 1 person to ask me if I was ok, no one cared. Everything she did made it worse. Just parroting I needed to call between 8-11. I also explained to the receptionist through my tears, i recently had a miscarriage and I’m really struggling, so please help me. Everyone ignored me, it was awful, I felt a panic attack come on and ran to my car. Sure enough I had a panic attack in the car and rang my husband. The system currently in place doesn’t work. And looking at the reviews I’m not the only person that’s had a meltdown in the surgery. Ways you can improve, - the phone booking system in the morning shouldn’t be your main booking system, most people like to book through apps people under the age of 50 anyway. It should be your last option instead. More future appointments should be available! -don’t stop medication if it’s dangerous for the patient to go without it. By all means review the medication but don’t put people through the hell of staying on hold for 35 minutes. Especially (as I’ve just mentioned) being 33, I don’t call anyone for appointments, it’s 2021 - train every member of staff, deescalation. It’s very simple. If someone seems angry, stop the bureaucratic parroting. Look the patient in the eye. Try terms like, -what can I do to fix this? -I’m listening -I’m so sorry this has happened, that sounds really stressful Listen and empathise Also train your drs not to shame re mental health especially if they don’t know much about mental health and medications.
Shockingly terrible. Admin staff are rude, ill trained and not trauma safe. They are self important flogs who couldn't care less for patient health. They deleted my ongoing anti-anxiety medication without notice, and then insisted I see a doctor (two weeks wait time) to get it renewed. Anyone who knows the risks associated with an immediate cessation of such drugs will realise this is malpractice at best. Second, having brought a complaint that was under investigation when I moved from Scotland to England, they stuffed up my registration, ignored (and lost) my patient records. Then no GP would have a face-to-face appointment with me. After making me undergo the exact same tests that the Scottish NHS had requested, they then came back with a totally bogus diagnosis. A diagnosis that if they had conducted a face to face consultation, would have proven extremely incorrect and potentially lethal. Again, malpractice at best. I subsequently went private in order to deal with my issues, and they were quickly resolved with a relatively simple surgical procedure. I complained several times to the practice manager, Dr Simon Edwards. On the first instance he sounded helpful and sympathetic. Yet he did not ever deliver on the changes I had suggested (for example training front of house staff in trauma informed practice and holding to account those staff who had lost my records and denied me my medication). My second complaint got little further and by the third official complaint, he was repeating the same bogus cut and paste lines from my two previous complaints. Totally hopeless. Do not go there. You'd be better off finding a few leaches and a cranial trepan than trust these tax-fed parasites with your health. There should be a health warning on the building: "WARNING: This practice could be harmful to your health" I look forward to the "We are concerned for your review, please directly contact our service coordinator to discuss". Don't bother. You deserve to be put in public stocks on Wandsworth Bridge Road and be pelted with rotten vegetables by passersby. ----- EDIT MARCH 2023. I note still no response. I note still the same horrific staff. Again, I had my medication prescription ceased without advice or knowledge. These people are borderline criminal and should be prosecuted.
This has to be the worst doctor service in history. They suggest you book online to speak to a doctor yet everytime I put in a request to see a GP they never ring. I am supposed to have 2 GP check ups since being pregnant I contacted them at 22 weeks pregnant made how many appointments not one was confirmed and I am now 34 weeks pregnant and still haven't seen my GP. Building upon this, my 3 year old suffers with bad eczema and the cream they specially medicated has to be prescribed by a doctor. I made 2 appointments for my daughter and yet to my surprise nobody phoned to do a telephone consultation they literally never bothered. I even tried applying for the medication online through the clinic online system and they cancelled my request stating that it needed to be seen by a doctor. Yet, how can I get to a doctor if they are incredibly useless and dont even bother to contact thier patients and have them seen? Her eczema became so inflamed and sore that had to end up to AnE and once again they told me to go to my GP for a check up but what's the point nobody has the decency to acknowledge you. Since Covid 19 I think the doctors are using this as an excuse not to see people stating that patients call up to book a phone consultation and they will decide whether or not the patient should come in. Unfortunately in my situation everytime I book in for a telephone consultation the doctors never have the decency to ring me so I can go forward informing them of my issues and therefore I have not seen a doctor. I think it's just pure laziness and they are using the pandemic to the best of thier advantage and not really wanting to care for thier patients.
Poor service. I feel so disssapointed. Last week i had a phone appointment with random GP instead of my regular one and she even didn't bothered to have a look for my medical card, started to mentioned that she only has 10 minutes for each client. What is the matter to call if you not bother to open your client medical card records?! She promised to call me back but never did after. Today i supposed to have a phone appointment at 4.30pm with another GP from Sands End Health Clinic practice. Because i was very sick during the night and wanted to go to the hospital, hoewer health advicer book an appointment for me with my local GP instead. Now is 5pm and i still haven't received any call. I do understand that there is probably biggest GP in the area and a lot of patients need to be treated as well. But what is the point to book an appointment without calling ur patient booked and waiting for the respond? I I urgently need a proper plan for my medicines, referrals and treatments. If I would know any better practice in the area would prefer to be registered somewhere else.
On numerous occasions now I've had very disappointing experiences with this doctor's practice. On multiple occasions, I was left waiting on hold for over an hour only to receive a disagreeable response when they finally answered. It's disheartening to not feel valued or cared for as a patient. What also bothered me is the limited face-to-face interaction with the doctors. Instead of seeing the doctor in person, most of the diagnosis is done through photos and emails. This remote approach made me question the accuracy and thoroughness of my treatment. Overall, my experience with this practice has been the worst I've encountered. I would strongly advise others to avoid this practice and seek medical care elsewhere. There is so many complaints over the 10 years I've been here especially when it comes to my 3 children that it's just embarrassing to list and I wouldn't know where to start. This practice either needs a complete new ownership or doctors need to be urgently re-trained and more staff emoyed.
Doctors are fine but admin staff / systems make obtaining an appointment a nightmare. Care navigation calls drop out. NHS app and eConsult website enquiries led me through a questionnaire to a dead end. The website encourages you to sign up to online services, but you need to go and present them with ID in person before they'll share the organisation code / centre number, which defeats the point. I ended up having to call 111 and waiting 4 hours A&E in hospital to get seen by a doctor after having reached a dead end on every conceivable means on contacting Sands End. The hospital (UCH) was great, but I still have to go through my GP to access next stage. I dread to do it because of the administrative difficulties, being sent round in circles and to dead ends by their unhelpful and poorly designed online options, and with no one picking up the phone. I will move GP as a result of this.
Having recently registered with the clinic and found myself in a prescription predicament, I was called within an hour of requesting an appointment and offered a scheduled telephone call 48hrs later. However, on speaking to me and realising what the implications were for an additional 48hr delay to my meds (through no fault of the clinic, I should add) Dr. George decided to act there and then, establishing the fact and saving precious time, as a result. With many people often preferring to follow a script and afflicted by what I like to call "computer says no" syndrome, which leaves little room for individual initiative, I'm very grateful to Dr. George. Thank you. Dr. George will be leaving on maternity soon. I wish her all the best.
Fantastic experience on multiple occasions over the year now. Moved to the area 1 year ago and "Sands Ends Clinic" was a great choice of my new GP surgery. I had multiple health issues throughout the year, which all have been resolved quickly and efficiently. Staff is friendly and informative, nurses extremely efficient and well trained, same day phone consultations available, online system is easy to use, all necessary tests booked, referrals to specialists arranged and further after care been placed. Especially massive Thank You to Doctor. Alibeygi, who is extremely genuinely caring, never in a rush and making sure I was always diagnosed correct and the best treatment was alway provided. Highly recommended!
If I could give this clinic 0 stars i would. The reception staff are horrific and treat patients as if they are doing them a favour by providing the bare minimum in care. I've had GPs forget to issue presecriptions, the reception supervisor tell me that the pharmacist will know more about my care than the GP, prescriptions sent to incorrect pharmacies and reception staff who are unable to get a fax through for a prescription just not do anything about it, so i had to call back several days in a row to get the situation rectified, all while waiting on medication. If you care about yourself or your loved ones well being, stay as far away from this clinic as you possibly can.
UPDATE: I was contacted by the surgery this morning and advised of the new PATCHES appointment system. Website could do with being a lot clearer but now that I know where to go, very easy to use! I'd suggest avoiding all the other options on their appointments page and just use the "Get help and advise online" to take you to PATCHES. Impossible to get an appointment. You can't book through the NHS app, the telephone booking system say there's no suitable appointments available and you can't use their online system until the practice issues you an account, which you can't get hold of anyone to get issued. A very frustrating set up
This place doesn't even anything more than 1 star. Writing this review right now because I just got back form the clinic, after spending an hour on the phone speaking to the Dr and getting an appointment at 10:50, just to find out when I get there that THEY GAVE MY APPOINTMENT TO SOMEONE ELSE. Now I don't know much but I'm pretty sure that if I booked this out first with them on the phone than that was my slot for my appointment. If you actually want to take care of yourself or anything than do not go to this doctors, I've been with them for years and they just continue to give poor attention towards their bookings.
I’ve been registered with the clinic for more than 7 years, and Dr Alibeygi has been one of the most amazing doctors that I’ve met. She’s been extremely helpful with treating my postnatal problems. No matter how big or small the issue is, she always manages to see me quickly, gives detailed diagnoses, and provides prompt treatments despite her busy schedule. Thanks to her, I was able to get the critical treatment needed before an infection got worse. So lucky to have her at the clinic as she truly cares about patients. The practice staff are also nice and efficient, I’ve had great experience with them.
Phone booking line weather you call at 8 or after you are in a que for 40 mins and only move 5 down from 15 then they cut you off. You are ment to help people not make them worse. I was with the surgery for years never had a problem getting appointments, but now they have merged they just don't seem to have the same level of care they used too. We call up to then be put on hold for 40 mins then get through to be putnon hold again and again, this surgery is a joke fix you appointment system as you patients are not happy. Maybe you need to read your reviews and act on them.
Every time i attend this doctors there is a problem. I'm going to leave and join a doctors with staff that speak to you like your a human. My last call to doctor he said to me "you have a chest infection, pick up antibiotics from the chemist in 2hrs." went to chemist and was told "sorry we have no medicine for you. The reception staff treated me like i was a lier until they found the doctor. I was ill but they kept m running around. This is not the first time i had had problems here. The rudest staff i have met. I'm joining a new doctors soon.
Impossible to get through to someone on the phone. I have just spent 45 minutes trying to get through but automatic voice service only share options to book a phone appointment with a GP or a flu vaccination then hangs up. Another option is to book an appointment through Patchs, however my GP is another medical centre so this option doesn't work either. I was asked to call back to book in-person follow-up appointment but this is impossible. Waiting for the clinic to call me back to book the appointment...
Without question the worst medical care I have seen in the U.K. and perhaps worldwide. Full of unhelpful people and snarky receptionists who couldn’t possibly be bothered to help out. It seems like everyone in the practice tries their absolute best to not help. And it happens every single time! Honestly begs belief. Makes you really really not want to call the doctor if something’s wrong since you’re made to feel like a fool. On the bright side I’ve just moved out of Fulham and get to change GP’s.
Absoulte joke! The doctors are never on time. When you ask for an appointment they say no as a doctor must call back how are you supposed to get checked out! I asked for them to check me out as I see stars and the doctor turns around and say buy a multivitamin! You tell them you not well and they say drink a paracetamol. So lazy! The only doctor that knows what they doing there is Doctor Jackson, she is amazing and her I rate 5 stars. But the whole surgery service and others doctors 1 star
Worse GP ever, difficult to get appointments, when I got appointment it was total useless apparently for every symptom I had to make new appointment so doctors get paid for doing nothing, saw doctor 3 times no help what so ever, start to developing more and more symptoms feeling sick ...waiting for next appointment for 3 weeks. Doctors not compitent at all. Avoid! Ones lost my test results.... very bad.
Staff are not helpful and there needs to be a different call system rather than keep patient's hanging on the phone for ages. Also the receptionists not need to know what's wrong with you. It's the doctor and the patients who only needs to know. Since Dr Lawley left this surgery has gone down year by year. Also they keep changing things and not letting their patients know ow. Bad surgery indeed.
I retract and have deleted my bad review as the morning after writing on here, I have had a call from the surgery and I have a telephone call scheduled (with an option of a face to face appointment). It would appear I have been looking on the wrong online appointment site, and the way forward is Patches, which I have now been sent a link for. Thank you for your speedy response to my review!
I have been a patient here for over 20 years, and it has consistently gone downhill over time. Ever since Dr. Lawley and Dr.Jewels left, there has been no good, consistent, and caring Dr. The new patches system is even more annoying as you never receive a same day reply. From misdiagnosed to not listening, it's been a series of problems for myself and baby. Go private if you can.
Impossible to book appointment. Waiting on the phone for 40+ minutes to be told someone will call you, but when no body can be certain. Please change, review and improve your booking system to be acceptable for people. Do no recommend the web e consult, as no replays even after 24h as advised from the recorded massage. I do hope the management reads those reviews.
I have nothing but positive comments to make about doctor Alibeygi's service. Each and every one of my appointments have been fully comprehensive and detailed, no symptom has ever been left unattended. Beyond that she has been a great listener and person to talk to. I would definitely recommend the practice considering the standard of service they strive for!
I just wanted to leave a review to say how amazing the people that work at this clinic are. The women at the reception are stars, caring & professional, they listen & they always get things done very quickly. I’m extremely grateful to have such a wonderful team of people that look after my health . Alexandra
staff cant seem to call when appointments are booked for, for a 2:40 appointment they called at midday. When asking for management, theres no manager around apparently, was a complete mess up and im left without medication. Edit: Eventually called 111 who got the job done
Now I am seeing this new gp I now have every confidence in everything we are doing to get to the problems I could not be happier the fact that the doctor understands everything is great onwards and upwards I hope she stays long term she is the best gp I have had
This is a fantastic GP practice. The staff are so helpful and the doctors so efficient and highly skilled and thorough. They were so helpful when I needed a prescription. I feel very grateful to have such a wonderful NHS service on our doorstep. Thank you
Dreadful service - can't contact them in any way, impossible to book an appointment, not even possible to speak to a human being on the phone. Another GP surgery that should be struck off for failing to provide a general service to local residents.
Sands End Health Clinic is hands down the worst doctor surgery I have ever come across. Getting an appointment is a horrendous process often involving hours on the phone (the phone queue cuts you out after an hour on hold..!). Most recently
The worst customer experience I have ever had. The real tragedy here is that I can't give this place zero stars. The receptionists are downright nasty, they speak to you as though you used to bully them at school and they are getting their
At this practice I have encountered the worst doctor i.e Dr Iqbal. Please avoid this women at any cost because she will misdiagnose you and is very unskilled. I am really surprised on how she has managed to become a doctor. The best Dr to
Everything is just so difficult at this clinic. You can wait on the phone for an hour just to be told you can get an appointment in the weeks time, or maybe a phone appt in the next two days, if they haven't gone already. If you hold for
This is by far the best GP I’ve been to since living in London for 10 years. The booking system and app is great and most importantly all the Doctors that my baby and I have seen have been friendly, professional and helpful with the
Possibly the absolute worst phone system in the world. The most frustrating experience I ever had in my life, just awful, and it’s like this every time. I’ve been waiting in the automated queue for 1 hour and 10 minutes...and still
Great doctors and nurses and helpful reception staff. Especially like the online aspect of being able to book appointments, request referrals and ask for advice. It's saved me lots of time on the phone and is really efficient.
My GP Dr Alibeygi was very efficient and kind. She made sure to tackle my health issues with such thoroughness and understanding I haven’t had with previous doctors. I truly appreciate it and recommend this gP and clinic.
My experience with Dr Alibeygi was fantastic, she took me very seriously and immediately organised a plan of action regarding my health. She was very kind and helpful.
I have had nothing but amazing experiences with this surgery, I am currently being seen for a range of symptoms and the investigations have been nothing but thorough
This is the first time writing review at this clinic which, I must say Dr Alibeygi, has impressed me how she wanted to help me with my healthcare. Thank you
Doctor Alibeygy has been fantastic, feel really reassure and properly take care off, she has listened to my concerns and take action on them. Really happy
Amazing doctor, Dr Fatemeh Alibeygi listened to all my needs and supported me through out the appointment. Would give 10 stars if I could.
Such a lovely clinic. Staff all very helpful and always manage to get appointments in good time! Best GP I’ve ever signed up to.
The administration of the clinic is incomprehensibly incompetent. I can't speak to the doctors' qualifications/competency.
I usually get quite prompt appointments for myself and my children. The doctors have been really good with us thank you!
The receptionist and my doctor and nurse that i see are absolutely brilliant amazing wonderful helpful thank you
Excellent attentive and courteous treatment received from all the staff & doctors at this NHS practice
GP Dr Alibeygi very efficient and listened carefully. Very much appreciated. Thanks.
Doctor Alibeygy is very professional, thorough, friendly and reassuring.
Very pleased with my treatment with Dr alibeygi.
Happy with the gp very quick to get appointment
