I went to Silverado 16 today, I was not impressed at all. I get it, they are remodeling, but my bad marks really have nothing to do with construction. First of all, I walk in, it’s slow at the concession stand, so there are most of the employees just hanging out doing a whole lot of nothing. When I was a teenager, working at fast food restaurants, they’d tell us,”You got time to lean, you got time to clean.” It just looks terrible when three cashiers are at the registers, and 4-5 people are leaning on the counters, doing absolutely nothing. None of the employees were friendly, nor welcoming at all. The drinks and popcorn is all self serve, which confused me, because I expected full service when you have that many workers standing around doing nothing. So, let me get this straight, I pay an arm and a leg for snacks, then fix the snacks myself, while the workers stand there and watch. After we fixed our snacks, we walked right into the theater, no one checked our tickets the whole time, from the front entrance to the inside of the theater. I told my wife, apparently, the movies can be watched for free, if you didn’t want to spend money on tickets, just walk in and grab a seat. Every employee at this place looked miserable, like they hated their jobs. I did like the inside of the theater, the reclining seats were nice. The management just needs to square that place away, and keep their workers busy, or cut the staffing in half, so it doesn’t look bad. Definitely don’t recommend this theater until they fix the aforementioned issues.

My family decided to tryout Silverado instead of our usual Palladium. I can definitely say the customer service is terrible here. We ordered one slice of pizza that took over 40 minutes to be made. We really didn't mind the wait but quickly realized we may have had our wrong phone number on file. Went to the line to make sure we had the correct number and Jonah was extremely dismissive and just kept saying “yeah we’ll call you”. He was just listening to respond then both his coworkers helped him realize what we were saying. Instead of saying sorry, he was still dismissive. We weren’t rude or rushing them so for him to act that way was extremely unprofessional. I asked to cancel my order and he still had attitude about it. For us being “Movie Guru” Tier Members, this was the worst experience we’ve had so far. One thing I did appreciate was how hard the cleaning staff works. They were the only courteous part of this visit. If Jonah is a manager, he should retrain and take a couple tips from those employees. We will not be back.

I do not recommend this theater if you don't want to catch Covid. My daughters and I went on Christmas Day for a 7 p.m. movie to see Spiderman. The theater was packed liked sardines, no one but the three of us were wearing masks. The theater smelled like B.O. and it was stuffy-no air flow. There were absolutely no Covid protocols and the tickets were not cheap-I paid about 47.00 for 3 tickets purchased online. I would have left immediately but I couldn't afford to waste 47.00. I dropped my phone on the floor and the floor was disgusting-sticky, etc.. as if it had not been cleaned for a week. The chair I was sitting in had 2 holes in it-like cigarette burns but probably just old and worn out. I wish I had just left. I understand that Christmas is a busy day and it is hard to get folks to work-but perhaps don't pack the theater, get some airflow going, request mask wearing and provide incentives for people to work and clean the place. This theater is ghetto all the way. I predict it will turn into a dollar theater.

I have been to multiple Santikos locations and enjoy their high quality movie experience. Unfortunately this Santikos location was far from that. First, with their drink options, they had three options for the entire drink menu. Had to order coke slush with Jack Daniels because they only had one machine working. The other two were Topo Chico or shiner on draft. I understood machines break down and need repairs, but the restroom at their facility were "disgusting" walking into the restroom hallway before entering the men's or women's restroom, it smelled like sewage. When entering the men's restroom the odor got even worse. I was approaching A urinal and all of a sudden another customer informed everyone that their urinal is pouring out urine. After he informed everyone I looked down and noticed a puddle of urine on the floor. Not only was that disgusting but as well dangerous if someone would slip. I was disgusted by my experience, I would highly recommend another Santikos location instead of this one.

Manager Patrick Verastegui is a horrible manager. A team member Johnathan made a mistake when issuing the tickets . We asked for 5 tickets to the 7:00 P.M. showing of The Lost City. After getting our popcorn and concession items, using the bathroom, and getting ready to head to the theater my father in-law noticed that they had issued us tickets to the 7:45 P.M. showing of the same movie. Now since these are now assigned seating and because my father in-law always does the right thing he headed back to get the issue fixed. Instead of fixing his mistake he said there was nothing he could do, we asked for the manager . . . . Patrick showed up and wanted to charge more money for the showing instead of fixing his employee's mistake. I do not recommend going to this theater if you want intelligent people that know how to manage people and get things right. They all need more training. Patrick did not know how to work the machine at the ticket counter and certainly does not know how to be a manager.

Very old and out of date theater that really makes you rethink going out for a movie. The popcorn was fine but personally I despise the new coke machines where you can mix and match sodas and flavors. The sofa never tastes as good as normal fountains and the flavor syrups are horrible tasting. Inside the theater the seats are uncomfortable and scratchy. This theater hasn't replaced them with recliners. The audio was also terrible! It sounded as if the main audio was only coming from one side. We ended up leaving and just renting the movie at home.

My wife and I watched Captain Marvel and when it finished purchased tickets to watch Avengers End Game. The 1st movie was perfect, the seats and area were very clean and food was great, the 2nd one was disappointing and almost ruined. The floor where our seats were located were very slippery, probably butter. I slipped and pulled something inside then on both our sides to the left of us and to the right there were people vaping and it irritated my wife the way it smelled. It would be nice to get those tickets re-placed.

Love this theater, but the renovation is making parking difficult. Second, there was no one checking tickets or bags at entry or near the auditoriums. Third, you have to stand in two separate lines if you need snacks and alcoholic beverages; it's not combined so if you aren't with another person to divide and conquer, you'll need to arrive much earlier to do both. Otherwise, the theater is clean with friendly staff, and the seats are comfortable. Can't wait to see it fully remodeled!

I took my kids to see the new Super Mario Brothers movie here this weekend. I purchased tickets with the AVX theatre option. It was nice because they have comfortable recliners. I bought popcorn and drinks, which were pricey. The popcorn is now self service, which is alright because it helps lower the wait time with getting everything together before the movie. The Santikos location is a great movie theatre and I hardly ever have trouble finding good seats to reserve here.

Whenever a new movie comes out, I always go to this movie theater if I go alone. There is a good quantity of popcorn in the large bag, they have free refills for sodas and ICEE, and people can put their own butter in their popcorn. The restrooms are nice and the staff does a good job at cleaning the restrooms. The seats are comfortable and they are very close to the entrance and refill area. The theaters are clean and I do recommend going to this movie theater to others.

Nice place, first time to see a movie at this location. I guess I'm spoiled because I assumed all Santikos theaters had lounge chairs stadium seating and the theater we were in did not. It was old school. The seats I selected were right in the middle of the theater thinking it wouldn't be a problem because there would be plenty of room. Wrong, but luckily there were only 5 people in the theater. So we didn't have to stand up to let someone go by.

Hadn't been to a location in years that still had the "stiff seats" that don't recline and seem a little cramped. How did we manage in the past... Even the temperature seemed to be a little warmer than other, more modern Santikos theater I'm used to. (CASABLANCA). Seems like this one is due an upgrade unless they are supposed to be a more affordable option. I only came here cuz it was the only one nearby showing what we wanted to see.

The concession didn't take money, couldn't use the money on my fandango card, that I used to buy my ticket. The drink machine's were out of ice and the drinks were flat. Got to my seat and it was busted! It leaned way too far back with no tension and it hurt my back and neck to have to lean forward for over 2hrs. The #15 theater smelled really bad and it was hot! Love the reclining seats with snack trays and overall atmosphere of this theater. Watched Avatar: Way of Water and it was the perfect experience. Coming from out of state and really enjoyed our visit to this establishment. Staff was very friendly and the place was clean. After reading some of the other reviews I felt an updated review was needed as dated places like this need to be uplifted. You're doing great!

The seats were comfortable, the seat assignments easy to comply with, the food delicious the bathrooms needed alittle cleaning but all in all very nice place, loved spending time with my family here. It was nice having the hot food cubby option but I found out they weren't working however the kitchen staff ensured they got my order correct and made sure I didn't need anything else. A really nice place.

I paid for the DBOX to see Jurrasic World. It is NOT worth it. Here are ways to improve it: raise people a little off the ground. When my feet feel the ground, the illusion I am there is lost. Second, stop vibrating and moving when someone sneezes and time it better with movie action so that it seems more realistic. Other than that, not a bad looking theater although they need better mixed drinks.

I've only been here a handful of times, and oddly enough it's always whenever I'm not paying and someone is bringing the wife & I here for a movie. However every time I'm here, I just don't get it. There isn't really anything special here. Once you experience The Palladium, Flix Brewhouse, or even Alamo Drafthouse when it was still open, this place just doesn't compete with much better places.

This place is nice. We went to see Barbie. The restrooms were clean. I saw people refilling their popcorns! So I guess you can refill them if you want! We saw the movie in AVX theater. There was more than enough leg rooms. We got our seat on second row. Thought the movie experience will not be as awesome but we didn’t feel much difference really! The chairs were comfortable. Would recommend!

We had the greatest experience with Brandon. He was extremely friendly. The girl in the front was bit rude. We wanted to leave but Brandon was able to change our mind to stay with his great detail to customer service. I’ll tell you one thing this theatre is lucky to have an exceptional employee like him. Being a Veteran it is nice to be treated with kindness and great service.

Always been my most favorite theater to go watch a movie. The staff is always so friendly and cheerful. Always clean and smelling great. The young lady at the concession stand was very kind and sweet. Love this place and will always be my favorite to attend. Thanks staff and management. Keep up the great work so that movie goers like myself, can continue to have an amazing experience.

I enjoyed my visit. Had a group of 2 adults and 5 kids. The coke refills are great, in my hometown we pay for refills. Seating was okay, sound and movie quality were good and staff were friendly. I wanted to get something from the restaurant area but the price was high to spend on 7 people instead, We ended up watching 2 movies that day. An overall pleasant experience.

We arrived for an early viewing of "OLD". What a GREAT movie! What a nice theatre. Plenty of parking. We had a wonderful time! The food was not warm. The candy selection was whack! $5 for Twizzlers, DANG! The service was great in spite of the rush. We didn't have to stand in line long. Everything was clean including the restrooms. All in all - I would probably return.

Was glad to see this location hopping again! We have watched them and been patrons since the grand opening 20 years ago. We have watched the entire and flow of traffic and time. With pandemic I was concerned the doors may be closing. Something still special about being in a theater for a first run. Great staff, prompt service. I’ll be Back, just like Arnold!

Food is tasty. We had the wings and nachos. We tried the D-Box and it was great. Unfortunately we went a night that rained pretty bad and the power went off and they couldn’t get the projector back on so we had to leave without finishing the movie. They gave us a pass so I guess that made up for it. Doesn’t seem nor feel like it’s too dirty either which is good!

We gave this location another try after a previous bad experience. This time they had no nacho cheese, no beer at all, no ice, and ove half of the sodas were out. When we asked for a refund for them not veing prepared for a new movie coming out the manager said "we didn't k ow we were goi g to be busy" smh really? Definitely not going back to this location

Went to see a movie in the newly renovated AVX theaters. You will really enjoy the experience. Immersed in the movie, and the comfort of the reclining seats...nothing like it!! After the pandemic really never noticed how much this was missed!! Update went to go check out the new MI movie amazing sound was amazing again newly renovated AVX makes a difference!!

With national moviegoer rates on a massive decline since COVID.. You would think that management would do everything it can to retain their customers.. however go check out the parking lot and you'll see smashed glass all over the parking lot from break-ins how do you expect people to feel comfortable going to a movie when you can't protect their vehicles

Love the Texas decor! Decent place to go see a movie and they donate a portion of proceeds to give back to the community. Would not recommend getting tickets in advance through Fandango. They charged my card for tickets that weren't even available and it took an whole week for them to credit my money back. Other than that great staff and clean facility!

I loved the new seating at the Silverado. Recliner seats, stadium seating, and the spacing between the seating was fantastic. Now you don't have to worry about anyone kicking the back of your seat, and you also don't have to worry about the person sitting in front of you blocking your view. I also like the new self-serve popcorn dispenser.

I bought my ticket online. When I arrived, no one scanned my ticket. If so, anyone could have gone in for free. There was no ice in the machines. Housekeeping of the overall theater looks neglected. The movie area, additionally looks so gross. Overall, the place looks tired and needs a remodel of sorts. I will stick to Flix theater.

Pretty good theater. I always enjoy going to Santikos because they are locally owned. This is definitely one of their lower end theaters, the prices are very affordable and the seats do not recline. However, it was still a really nice theater! They have all the same foods as the others and one of those Coca-cola mixer machines!

It's really hard to tell if their open or not and the sign outside has been removed because they are doing renovations. But absolutely loved the new recliner seats with built in tables, they were soooo comfy and recline all the way to almost lying down. Enjoyed the movie and had an amazing pizza too. It was a great day....

The renovation is def necessary. The seats were covered in cheese? Or im going to tell myself it's cheese so I dont get even more grossed out. The floor is so sticky and disgusting. My hope to surprise my kids with a movie after school completely backfired with the overworn crusty seats and stuffy smelling theater.

I've been seeing movies at this theatre since it opened in 2003. I am extremely thankful that they no longer play country music in the lobby and even though this theatre is almost 20 years old, my shoes have yet to stick to the floor. That's about as good a compliment that you can give to a movie theatre.

Did not enjoyed this location as others that I've visited. First, they only accept credit cards, which is a MAJOR inconvenience. Some of the employees looked like they are there just for a paycheck and not to help patrons enjoy their visit! I will keep going to Casa Blanca, it has no competition!!

The food was great, made fresh and did not take long so none of my movie was missed. Love the Dbox seats. Keeps me engaged with the movie and are comfortable. Not happy about their liquor selection. Only had the frozen margarita drinks from the machine available.

It's a decent theater, I have a lot of good memories from here. It's starting to get a little dated though with the non reclining seats, although I have heard a renovation is coming soon to add recliners, so I'm excited for that. Overall decent experience

We have been here several times when we visit San Antonio. Always clean, friendly staff. Great place to spend a couple of hours seeing a movie. They have a bar that looks nice, but we have not partaken..love the beverage stations with lots of options!!

Great experience, honestly, I enjoyed the whole thing. However, I happen to have a recliner that was broken and wouldn’t go back down and when it came up, it would mess up a lot. Unfortunate series of events however, it was still a great experience!

This place was empty on a Wednesday night.. no one else at the movie I was at besides me and my friend and we only maybe saw 2 other movie goers in the entire place. In a way that was nice, but staff weren't very happy looking, I felt bad for them.

Went there with my 3 kids and wife, they absolutely love it, the staff is very friendly, the manager there is the best, keep the theater clean and is very kind, the quality of the screen is awesome and the sound is also great, restrooms very clean!

This theater was ok but was definitely older. Seats don't fully recline, no full service bar, no self serve popcorn, games are pretty limited. We also had to drive 30 minutes because it was the only theater still showing Black Widow.

I haven't been to Santikos Silverado since 2020. They have added recliners in the small theaters. So relaxing. The screen seemed bigger too. The concession team was so helpful, especially Jade. I enjoyed a great movie even more.

The popcorn and drinks are self serve the seats recline. We watched the turtles movie today and it was awesome. It was a new and reimagined and fun way to watch. Seth Rogan did an excellent job!
