I emailed and requested a quote for a key fob for my car - I provided the year, make, model and type of fob. After hearing nothing for a day or so, I called and spoke to someone in the office who said they had seen my email and was prepared to provide a quote of between $150-$180. She said she could not be positive but she'll have a locksmith call to verify. She then told me that a $30 charge would be assessed if the locksmith came over to the house - no problem. I was promptly called by a locksmith who stated that the key would probably be closer to $180, I asked specifically if the key cutting was included and if he could cut the key (laser cut) which he stated yes. When he arrived, he then said that the fob for THIS car (the one I provided all the details to earlier) would be $280, not $180... additionally to cut the key would be an additional $90. Maybe it's not a "bait and switch" but this was more than double the price from the original quote of $150-$180. I sent him away, but it cost me $30 because he came to the house. I've one interaction with Seattle Locksmith Security, but I would not use a company for the security of my things or family that operates with questionable integrity. I instead went to a key and lock shop in West Seattle (Alki) and they quoted me a fixed price for a new FOB $280, however he suggested that if I provided the fob, he would program it and cut the key for $100. I went there with a fob that I purchased on Ebay for $30 and they did exactly as they quoted over the phone - out the door for $130 total (works great).

SUPER SATISFIED!! I was immediately connected with the technician, Ronnie and it took only 20 minutes for him to arrive to my location and another 20 minutes to make me a new smartkey, on a holiday! He was super nice, quick and helpful - he kindly explained what he’s going to do and confirmed pricing before the service (it was also a reasonable pricing considering how late I called for service + he drove all the way to my location on a holiday + warranty at their shop for the key!). Got the job done super fast and efficient - and the entire thing literally only took 1 hour that would’ve taken days at the dealership. I called the shop at 9:30 pm and had an entire new smartkey in my hand by 10:30! The new key works perfectly and will definitely use the service again in the future!

My door was unlocked in less than 5 minutes so that was nice. It wasn’t an emergency so I had booked an appointment, the first available was 3 days out. The ballpark range I was given for pricing was way off, but they did end up matching the high end of what I was told. Also there was an additional fee for coming out that I wasn’t told about. The tech that came out was great, but overall it was more pricey then I was expecting for a non-emergency door unlock And I had to wait 3 days.

Excellent service from the technician, Jacob! We needed a re-key for our school. Jacob came out to do a walkthrough with us for an estimate. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and took his time reviewing what we needed done. We are very satisfied with the result, and everyone is grateful to finally have a uniform lock system throughout the building. We definitely recommend this service and will certainly contact them again should we need to!

Seattle Locksmith and Security did a great job and in less than 30 minutes programmed a new fob / smart key (and cut a backup/emergency key) for my Subaru Forrester. After calling 5 locksmiths I ended up here and highly recommend this company.

They don't currently offer all of the services that are clearly advertised on their website. If your vehicle is considered a luxury vehicle they cannot cut keys for it for some odd reason. My husband called and asked if they cut Land Rover
