This is a great local bowling alley located at 3rd St and Vermont. They have decent food, although a little over priced. They serve alcohol of course and it is always clean and well maintained. A fun place to enjoy a couple of games (about 5$ per game). They also accommodate birthday parties for children at a decent package price. There is a video game room to keep the kids busy when they are not bowling.
Very large areas w pool tables here, which can come in handy when waiting for your party to be called for bowling. And it’s a classic bowling alley, not one of those fancy hipster bowling alleys that keep popping up. This is the place you go if you’ve just watched Big Lebowski & want that throw back feel. Drinks are decently priced, but bowling can get a lil pricey. Great place to go though.
Had fun and I hope to see the place get some upgrades in the future. Assuming the management of this place is interested in such a thing. But it is like a trip down memory lane. The crowd is a bit on the rougher side if you will! I give it 4/5 stars because they wouldn’t let my son and I play in are own lanes because he’s still a bumper bowler and they only have manual bumpers.
Loooove this place. Low key and chill compared to Lucky strike or Bowlmor. Also, I *think* less expensive. Bowling is $6 per game per person. I don't believe there is a timed option which is a shame. There is also billiards for $10 / hour and you pay for whatever fraction of that you play. Drink prices are decent, certainly cheaper than any random LA bar. Overall a solid time.
For me it was awesome and very kindly people in there. However the price was so expensive. each game u play have to pay 6 dollars. Im not sure they have special event or not but in state I never played over than 5 dollars per game but on here. Also parking spot is pretty small. pretty sure over than 50 cars can park but u should be very good driver in small parking spot.
Shatto 39 lanes is a Ktown staple. Lots of families kids and groups come to the bowling alley to play. Quick tips, they do have a bar, all parties must be present before they’ll give you a lane and there’s like no A/C. Also, not sure about other days but busy times there’s a security guard that checks your bag. Either way you’ll definitely have a good time.
I was disappointed at the service here. The security team was great, but the owner himself refused service. I was out with a group of crew and clients after a shoot, they wanted to bowl, we brought them here. It was a bit of a shock, he was really rude. I normally wouldn’t take the time to write a bad review, but that’s how shocked we were.
Exactly what I wanted - a clean lane, fitting shoes and a decent ball to send to the pins. If I ever get bored of that, I'll rent a billiards table for some pool, or put a couple of quarters in the pinball machine. It's less than 10 minutes of walking from the Wilshire/Vermont station, so I'll definitely be visiting more often.
Fantastic experience here at 39 lanes. Plenty of lanes that were roomy up until about 10 pm. The food was great the bar had a great variety of drinks to choose from and when you get bored with bowling and drinks they also have some old school arcade games to enjoy. I plan to revisit in the near future.
I came to play pool and they let 3 ppl in front of us to play although we were waiting patiently. Chris was rude and wasn’t trying to accommodate at all even after we tried to resolve things. But luckily Oscar stepped in. Very professional and nice. They need to fix the wait line for playing Pool.
The staff at this bowling center are always friendly and helpful. I come to this bowling center regularly and it never disappoints. The bowling center has great facilities for kids, including bumpers and lightweight balls. The staff is friendly and the facilities are well-maintained.
Lightest ball is 8. Food is ok. Dont expect top notch, but itll tame the hangry monster. Some games take only bills some only quarters. But getting change is another mission. No machine for exchanging 20s to smaller currencies. And to get quarters u can only use 1 dollar bills.
Cute bowling ally with drinks and food. I give four stars for a few reasons. There was no ATM and the games only take cash for coins. Plus, the bowling seemed a bit pricey to me but maybe I'm out of touch ($40 for two games?). Drinks were standard. Music was fun. Recommend.
Have to reserve in advance to get in; walk ins have to wait for availability. They check your temperature at the door ( sometimes twice). place is running at half the capacity but still worth it to go and play. They Clean the equipment immediately after you finish.
Diverse group, everyone is friendly. Paid for 3 games, but only had time for 2, but could not get money back for the game not played. Manager not there to talk to either. Not sure why that would be. Still good fun. Even though I bowled a bad 2 games.
The pricing is initially reasonable just for two games for two was 35 bucks. It was fun they have a few games that my friends and I played that takes quarters to play and they have food inside that I didn't get to try because they closed at
Pretty dope bowling alley. It’s located in a slightly tougher part of town but they often have security stationed out front. That being said, we’ve never had a problem. The lanes are clean, shoes are cheap and they offer a full bar, snacks
I'm so glad they're open once again. Visited yesterday.. You have to make a reservation before hand if not you might not be able to get a lane. They have servers that take your drink and food orders . Pretty cool. My favorite bowling alley.
Not a place to have fun of any kind of the manager has any say. I tried to set up a simple birthday party with a simple request, but was very rudely shot down with no alternatives. I will not be patronizing this establishment in the future.
As a bowling alley it’s great. Lots of lanes, space to sit, a small arcade with pool, foosball and other games, and generally a great atmosphere to be around. Highly recommended. It would be even better if it had food and other services to.
The place is great. There are a variety of pinball and other arcade games. There is a pool table room along with a bar for people older than 21. The bowling lanes are clean and offer a great time with friends and family. Additionally, the
It was so nice and clean Inside, the parking lot was a little scary but they had security in the entrance that made me feel a little better lots of nice families and groups of friends we enjoyed our games 2 hrs …
Had a good time. The music was ok. The customer service was great every where. The bartenders was nice and helpful. The cafe cashier was helpful and knowledgeable about the food. There were vegetarian options avaliable.
Its been 30 years since my last visit. This place hasn't changed. It was like visiting an old family member. I love to see that shatto lanes has kept up with the modern times by adding digital screens and what not.
Fun spot! The wait for a lane is long but you can hang out in the bar until then, and the drinks are cheap there. The bowling is overall pretty good but the hand dryer was broken in our lane, which I use a lot.
This place has lots of lanes (39 to be exact)! There is an underground parking structure but it's super compact! Park at your own risk.... when it gets packed, there is barely any room to back up.
Free parking is a huge deal in K-Town, esp. at night when most bowling occurs. Shoes, bowling balls and common areas were kept in decent condition. It's a great place to relax with large groups.
39 lanes split back to back, two pool rooms, an arcade, foosball etc. Off street parking and security on the sidewalk entrance. Crowds are cool and you can enjoy mixing it up with other players.
A great bowling alley in K-town. Parking on site. There are a few arcade games, air hockey, foosball, pinball, and a pool room. In then evening, there is food and a bar. They are kid friendly.
I come here a lot with my daughter and my other kids and they're always really great and making sure that the kids are having a good time or if we need help they're always there to help out
I like the arcade games! So many and playing pool too and of course can't forget bowling hehe. Come w a group of friends and have a fun time in either the bar or bowling lanes …
The food and drinks were good and it's a great family spot. Communication with staff was awesome but just wear thick socks because the shoes are worn out but smelled good and clean
Nice place, but the wait is to much. Too long. Of you have no problem waiting for more then one hr, I guess there is no problem. Los precios elevados. Prices are high. Expensive.
Really cool place, I had passed by this spot all the time but visited for a friends birthday party and was pleasantly surprised by everything they had going on inside.
First time there with my children. We all had fun bowling and playing video games. The staff and security where very friendly. Excellent Customer Service . …
This place is pretty old skool, but has been renovated and now it's a food spot to hang out. Great atmosphere, good quick bites, their chicken wing are good!
A lot of fun, friendly and open to those in recovery (even though theres a bar, its not a staole they make available always,) and in the LGBTQ community
Great place, atmosphere is lively, friendly, has bar and mini restaurant Fridays are VERY busy so suggest going any other day of the week.
We went there around 9:30pm and wait about 20-30mins for pool table. I think it was not so bad on Saturday. We played until 11pm+..
truly an undeniable experience, they serve $8 well doubles if you want a good pre game spot look no further la shato lanes is it
Good spot for bowling! 1 hour of bowling ($65) plus shoe rentals for 4 people ($5 each) came to $85. I enjoyed the music a lot!
Enjoyable local bowling and entertainment venue. Some of the locals are incredibly good! Parking under the building is free.
Went on a weekend, and it was too packed. Used to be a low-key spot, I guess going on a weekday will be a better option.
This place is great!! Something for everyone at all ages! You can't beat the prices for whatever you decide to do here.
I am disappointed in this place. I have gone to this place for years and love it! Now I will never be going back!!!!
Perfect dive bowling alley. So many different ways to have fun. Drinking, bowling, arcade games, dancing, you name it
Check how much each machines cost. Some will be super expensive for no reason. Also not a great vibe in here.
No frills, great fun to be had. Getting pricey but understandable due to the economy. I always have fun here
It's a fun atmosphere for a family get together but I think the evening away from the kids is fun there too
Good experience in this bowling alley. Had a lot of fun with friends. The customer service is the best.
Came to play pool, lots of kids in the pool room even though the rules say no one under 18. Good music
It was fun! Tons of lanes so there wasn’t a wait to get ours. Attentive staff, it was a good time
Great place to bowl, play pool and catch some beers. Staff up front and at the bar were awesome.
Always a pleasure but they seriously need a jukebox or something. Hip hop seems non existent
This is a nice chill place for bowling, I like that the staff are friendly and helpful.
Good. It’s a normal bowling alley with food, drinks, etc. Nothing fancy, just solid.
me and my gf loves this place, good prices, good set up and clean bowling area
A staple in the Community for Family Fun and Lots of parking
Cool place. Nice bar and they are open late
