This Shell gasoline station, which is right next to Citco on Minnesota Avenue NE is absolutely disgusting! Not that I have anything against homeless people bcuz they need warmth, and shelter for survival, but the homeless people have actually set up camp inside the pay area where people conduct business to buy gas, and whatnots! There are clothes, food, and blunt grass in corners, and they're asking for money and food before, or as you're paying for gas!!! I was very uncomfortable to have all this going on with at least 5 or 6 people in this small space at the Shell gasoline station on Minnesota Avenue! I'm not going back there!!!!!! Something needs to be done about this asap!!!

This establishment is horrible! The customer service is trash. I came here and a nozzle was broken and all my paid-for gas was on the ground and on my car. The woman at the register told me it was MY fault that their pump was broken and gave me a number for the manager at 9 at night, so of course I got no answer. Upon calling Shell's customer service line, I was told there was nothing they could do about it because it's independently owned. This place does not care about their customers and unfortunately most of us here in the District must continue to give them our money, as it is some of the cheapest gas in a city full of struggling minimum wage earners.

Gasoline uncontrollably leaked out of pump 2 during my visit here yesterday (around 5:30pm). Gas got all over me, my car and a bystander who was attempting to help me. I notified the station attendant on duty who replied "yes, pump 2 is leaking - I know." He did not come out to help shut off the gas or to even post a sign that the pump should not be used. When I asked for a refund for the gas that had leaked all over the ground, the employee gave me his manager's phone number. Predictably the manager has not answered his phone. Money aside, this is very dangerous for anyone in the area and is a both a fire and environmental hazard.

Went to purchase gas today- 4/27/17 gave the attendant three $5.00 bills but was only given $10.00 in gas. I brought the stiuation to their attention and was told no I only gave $10.00. A gentleman took the monies but a woman was trying to learn the register. Seems as if she was having some difficulties. When I gave to monies I spreaded to money separately for a reason. I was shocked NO ONE rectified the difference of monies given. Then everyone was told no more gas could not be purchased because the system was down. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Now you know this is a damn shame its a cross between madmax meets Scooby-Doo the place is jammed packed like a bag of marbles and everybody is trying to push & maneuver around this dimension in hell its danger level from a scale from 1 to 10 is 8 and that's in the daytime if it's after Dark and you out of gas you would be safer walking behind it pushing the car home been to stop at this jungle and right next to it is his sister station if you didn't get enough of the first one it offers twice the headache

The worst!! They stay taking/keeping people's money all the time ... All 15 of my dollars! Im not the only one. The police is always there because they don't know how to count and because they are rude and hateful. Management does not respond when money is taken, just a heads up! Citgo is cheaper and is right beside it. Don't waste your time with Shell!

Second cheapest gas in D.C. but you got to go through stuff to get it. This piece of Minnesota Avenue. NE has been jacked up for the longest. People crowd here trying to get cheap gas and in turn people hang-out in front to ask for money. Cash is gets more gas. Try to come when everyone is at work and watch the funny tv clips while you pump.

If u want to just give $20 dollars away to them then by all means do so. They steal your money and the police just let them because its "nothing that they can do". Im 1 out of many. The older big lady was cool until she took my money and acted like i never gave it to her. Everyone else just lollygag and just move so slowly.

Despite the draw for cheap gas, there's always an unsavory element in and around the facility. Always pay in cash because they don't allow you to use card swiper, u'll have to either write your pin down or risk shouting it out to them to make any kind of debit/credit purchase.

AWFUL! There’s only 1 woman who delivers customer service. The rest of them act like they don’t wanna b there & the customers are botherin them. The only reason I go there is bcuz the gas isn’t as expensive as other Shells’ in rice area. Otherwise, I wouldn’t DARE!

I bought 2 packs of cigarettes and a cupcake. There was a sign that said cigarette sale $8. So I was thinking my totally would be about 18-20 dollars. When I got home and checked my bank account, I was charged $28. Ten dollars more than expected. SMH. Never again.

The staff are unprofessional and if you want to use a debit card for purchase at the pump sometimes it works. When it does not the attendant must process your card asking for your card PIN, very UNACCEPTABLE. This station needs to be investigated.

It's convenient to where I live & the prices are for the most part competitive, especially with the Rewards Card (got $0.40 off of gas this week which brought the price down to $1.839/gallon. Was $2.239/gallon.

Terrible just terrible. Some of the time some of the pumps aren't working, there's alit of loitering about, overcrowded sometimes, alot of panhandling. The prices are good on gas so alot off ppl go there.

As many others have stated, the gas is cheap. However, you will have a better experience when not visiting this station at peak times. I've never had a bad experience with the employees at this station.

Nightshift Abey is very disrespectful. He uses profanity. He acts like he doesn't even wants to be there. No type of customer service. I will not patronize this store again.

Shell fuel rewards is a scam. They don't apply your rewards as promised. They get money for you using their gas stations and app, but don't pass the savings on as promised.

Charged .20 more a gallon for using our Shell card. We won't be buying gas there again. Bathroom was clean and nice.
