"Tao Spa, I must say that I would give the owner a zero star if I could because I went there on June 21, 2023 for 1 hour full body massage, the lady that received me showed me the price list and it was $78 but not even 5 minutes on the bed, the owner showed up trying to sell me a 2 hours massage for over $100, I said not, then he kept trying to over sale me more time while in the massage bed which ruined the whole experience"
"This mall is really huge it definitely is a plus for tourist people coming to San Antonio never ever really shock here at all so this mall was too big for me"
"The River Center Mall is a large shopping mall with something for everyone and more"
"Good shopping selection, however, Beware of the aggressive massage people"
Last visited: Dec’ 23, two days after X-Mas. The River Walk is like a waking dream, it is well architected and designed I will have to say. Especially if you visit around Christmas time. The lights and backlighting around the overhanging trees is simply a sight to behold. Well done. The sheer amount of choice of restaurants and venues around the Rivercenter, is simply unbelievable. I did not walk the whole of the board walk to see all the shops as I ran out of time, but what impressed me is how many shops they have here, of so many different types of food, ice cream, and other stuff for sale. However. There are a few points that prohibit this from being a five-star experience. - The people and rather passerby here are unkind to me and to others in general. They are too wrapped up in their world to care about anyone else. - At the time we came, around 9pm, most shops were closing and quoted a wait time of over an hour, sometimes an hour and half of wait. We had to choose one restaurant which had a reasonable wait time, but it is unfortunate that we were limited in selection of place to eat dinner at, so am rating down for the minus in experience. All in all, there are a remarkable amount of selection in shops at the river center or rather river walk area in San Antonio (SA/TX), however oft times shops are busy and the selection will actually be severely limited. Also, the people here are unkind to others and need to loosen up. However, I’ll give that a pass as the river walk and boat tour itself is mildly interesting and worth it at the least.
Tao Spa, I must say that I would give the owner a zero star if I could because I went there on June 21, 2023 for 1 hour full body massage, the lady that received me showed me the price list and it was $78 but not even 5 minutes on the bed, the owner showed up trying to sell me a 2 hours massage for over $100, I said not, then he kept trying to over sale me more time while in the massage bed which ruined the whole experience. He assigned a gentleman to massage my feet and the lady my body, so overall I received 30 minutes total time since 2 persons were performing the massage on me. I don't recommend them at all, they only accept cash payment but they don't advise until it is time to pay. I was upset and disappointed, I haven't been in a place where the owner behaved like that. The worse experience ever! We went to the virtual reality booth and enjoyed every minute of it. ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ My son purchased an engraved bracelet and we received great service from the guys there. ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ I purchased a cocktail from Fat Tuesday and the drink and the service were great. ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ We went to the Sugar Grill, the food was overpriced and overcooked, courtesy but extremely slow service, I went for my birthday and I can't recommend it either. ⭐ ⭐
This mall is really huge it definitely is a plus for tourist people coming to San Antonio never ever really shock here at all so this mall was too big for me. My father-in-law doesn't live far from the River Center and I was needing to go to James Avery of course the customer service there was excellent now the parking I paid $15 for about 30 minutes of parking I didn't know that it just has flat rates on the weekends I thought it just kind of went by time you were there like other places I don't shop downtown I don't go downtown so I was totally unaware of this and had to pay it because there was no other way to get out so that was the only down part of this for me but oh well what can you do.
The River Center Mall is a large shopping mall with something for everyone and more. It also is located in a grate spot being in the heart of downtown San Antonio and along the River Walk. The mall is also connected to the Marriott River Center Hotel and is very close to the convention center as well as many other attractions. Some of the many things in the River Center Mall restaurants, pubs and bars,a food court a I Max theatre as well as many different types of stores for shopping and more. I have been to the River Center Mall many times during my travels to San Antonio and always enjoyed the time here and will be back again when I am in the city.
Good shopping selection, however, Beware of the aggressive massage people. My husband and I were in town for a conference, and we decided to walk through the shops to get back to our hotel because it was 107 degrees outside. We were stopped by a man next to the pop-up massage parlor who immediately started rubbing my husband's neck without consent. He stopped us as if he wanted to have a conversation, but he barely said more than "Sir" before giving my husband an unwanted massage that left him in pain for the rest of our trip. That is a lawsuit waiting to happen. He almost would not let us walk away, even when we told him we had somewhere to be.
Great Mall pretty much has the whole city in a mall the only thing that bothered me a lot is the people harassing you to buy tickets for different excursions around the city then people literally harass the hell out of you and other people trying to sell their products they harass you big time if another Asian woman put her hands on me I was going to snap to get a massage that's how people get covid I did notice there was a lot of homeless people around especially showering in the bathrooms or bird bathing in the bathrooms it was a really nice Mall there's a lot of cool stuff in it there's just a lot of weird stuff too
Very nice mall! I went here about a week or two ago I think? With two of my friends and we chilled there and ate, and then went to look at stuff, they left earlier than I thought but otherwise was really fun being here, met a sweet skincare dude and gal too that had me sample this skin salts thing?? And body butter on the way out that made my hands feel nice, the hand salts thing felt like I dumped sand on myself at first though so ye, otherwise nice when I used that, then I did some random things like getting Pokemon cards and looking at super powerful chargers
This mall is surrounded by a lot hotels and good attractions, the problem with this mall is not having enough options to eat, also not having stores as Marshall, Ross or TJ Maxx, the airline lost my luggage and was really difficult to find a store like that (The closest was North Star Mall), downtown San Antonio doesn't have this type of stores, I think (and I suggest) will be beneficial if one day San Antonio downtown have a Target, Walmart, and few stores I mentioned before, even the HEB market is a little further (the closest one is on César Chavez Street).
Business Limo Houston had the pleasure of servicing our clients at the Shops at River Center in San Antonio. The prime location offers a vibrant shopping experience, complemented by a variety of dining options. The seamless drop-off and pick-up experience were facilitated by the mall's accessibility. Our clients enjoyed the luxurious ambiance, making it an ideal destination for both business and leisure. The Shops at River Center is a gem in San Antonio, and we look forward to continuing our services in this exquisite locale.
I like the H&M store here and got shoes at the Sketcher store. A bit run down but they have a few fun things for the kids to do. The food court has a Taco Bell and a few Chinese food places plus a Philly cheese steak place. Bathrooms are in the basement. We didn't go to the Lego museum out the aquarium place but looks fun. Just be aware that the Wyndham guys are a timeshare. So if they offer you a deal on local attractions, you've got to attend a sales presentation. The outside entrance near the river walk is pretty.
We went in through the Marriott hotel. We rode the escalator down to the river walk where we enjoyed the atmosphere immensely. We had reserved the longer of the two river boat rides and the trip was a bit boring. I think the shorter ride would have been just fine. I am hoping they make all day passes to get off and on at different locations so as it grows you can stop at the many places they can dock on. I suggest taking an umbrella for shade if you have babies or want shade on some parts of the longer river ride.
Rivercenter has a variety of shops and restaurants like most malls across the country. Where Rivercenter mall is different is the Riverwalk running through the mall (outside the building). The mall has holiday decorations along the Riverwalk and inside the mall which makes it very festive. Rivercenter also has two IMAX 3D theaters along with ten other regular theaters for movies. There is also a very small theme park for small children to play in which makes it nice for families.
Overall a good shopping experience with a great selection of stores and eateries now. Parking is a little pricey. Biggest drawback is that you now have to pay prior to exiting, which means if you drive all the way down and didn't pay, then you have yo park and go back inside and pay so you can leave. No more paying at the exit gate. Security almost non existent and unseen. AMC and the Comedy Club still holding strong on Level D. Tons and Tons of new stores and shops.
Interesting it is to see a shopping mall that is situated at the end of a waterway (this is located on a branch of the San Antonio River, not the main stem). Inside are stores such as Claire's, Sunglass Hut, and Hot Topic, along with restaurants such as Hooters and Johnny Rockets. At the time of this posting, 5/1/23, taking place in the basement is an exhibit focusing on dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures. Tickets are required for the event.
This place is is always buzzing and it's a must go to point in San Antonio. My kids have been there on every trip in and I wasn't going to miss it. The restaurants are great but always crowded. The walking path by the river is cool and a good way to watch and explore the area. Loads of activities happen around the walk and it's got a festive feel around it always. Check out the flea market shops along the way. Will visit again on my next visit.
Great place to walk around and sight see. The shops are plentiful and unique...not your typical mall. Shops are located at the beginning of the famous Riverwalk of San Antonio, so once you're done at the mall area you can mosey on down and walk the pedestrian-friendly attraction where you'll find great eateries and shops! Good day to be had by all. Kid friendly during the day, and great hang outs for adults at night!
For truck delivery the docks access is on Bowie St. Also you can only be driving south on Bowie to enter the dock area. If coming down 37 S take exit 141B Houston St/Alamo, turn right on Houston and left on Bowie. If driving North on 37 take Commerce exit 141 but don’t turn left on east commerce. Keep driving onto Chestnut St then left on Houston and left on Bowie. Lots of room for a basement downtown. Poor network.
The River walk is a dream, is beautiful in December the Christmas lights are bright. The River center mall the court food the cleaning people are horrible unrespectful treat the people in a mean manner. I was looking for a table and one of the janitors was gesturing and yelling that that section was close at just 7:00 pm. She could had said it in a nice respectful manner. Otherwise the place is OK.
Very interesting place. Great place to go with your loved one or family member or just to get out the house and have some fun in an interesting environment with multiple different shopping stores. Thanks for welcoming me and my family ATX 512 mobile mechanic.global we enjoyed the movies and Food plenty of different types of foods and restaurants and a variety of shopping
Great concept of tourism by building the river front at basement level & establishing numbers of shops, restaurants, hotels and picnic spots at both the end of mini branches of Arneson River. This is one of the most amazing tourist place of San Antonio, Texas City. Photography loving people will enjoy a lot to get great snaps of their favorite trip to River Walk. Enjoyed a lot
An absolute stunning place to visit with friends family or your loved one. You can visit the place during day time or evening, it is just as beautiful. The shops are good and restaurants are amazing to visit and food is great. I generally like to enter by Riverwalk shops and take walk from there. The gondola looks beautiful in the evening. Parking is available nearby.
We ended up walking through the mall accidentally. The problem we ended up with was getting out of the mall. We found an "exit" sign, but when we got there, the exit pointed to a blank wall. There ended up being doors, but they were expertly hidden behind other walls. We are in San Antonio for 3 weeks and I will definitely *not* be visiting this mall again.
It was so good to see a mall that was busy and thriving. There's something in here for everyone including some kids attractions like Legoland and a Zipline area. There is a food court but also some great restaurants. It's right next to the Alamo and is part of the River Walk. If you're visiting the area, this should be on your list of places to go.
Rivercenter is a unique type mall that's nice and different with a variety of thing to do and discover. One thing for sure have on your walking shoes and enjoy the scenery. Its really nice how the structure joins into the river walk with the different floor levels in the mall. You can shop, eat and relax all at the same time
A relatively large shopping mall with plenty of parking and plenty of things to do! There are plenty of food options here and places to shop and even places to relax and things for kids to do. There are also higher end restaurants here as well as direct access to the riverwalk, convention center and riverwalk boat tours.
Rivercenter is a multilevel indoor shopping mall that is directly connected to the famous San Antonio riverwalk. It has a number of high end stores like many of the indoor malls around the country. Being connected to the more romantic and touristy riverwalk with its tex-mex vibe gives the Rivercenter a little extra fun.
A wonderful place to shop, it’s a Mall styled layout that has three floors. The second floor has street level access, the third floor has access to a Dave and Busters and the first floor allows access to the Riverwalk itself! Honestly if you are in this part of San Antonio I would HIGHLY recommend checking it out!
I loved this mall so much !! I had never been there before!! I will definitely be going back very soon!! I actually ran out of time and wasn’t able to finish completely walking around. It had so much to see and the whole place is just completely breathtaking you will enjoy the view the whole time you are there.
Very fun and clean. We were there during the day but I magagine it would be lively at night. There are lots of quirky shops bars and restaurants. If you do the whole walk it will take several hours. I am unsurenhow safe it would be at night but it seemed like there was good lighting. Will definitely go back.
Fun for a night out. Lots of shops and restaurants. Live music, boat tour, and great architecture. Rich with history and culture. Good in the day, amazing at night. Do yourself a favor and park at the convention center parking lot. $10 all day parking! Right across the street from Macy's! Have fun!
$17 parking for a 3 hour movie that cost me $15 to see in 70mm IMAX. A bit overpriced. Needs more street level entrances for tourists visiting the Riverwalk to get in and out of. I circled the building on foot and only found a couple that were actually unlocked at 5:30pm on a Friday. What gives?
Nice mall!! Coming after more than decade. The bathrooms doesn’t have any hand sanitizers or soap it’s all empty. Also the restrooms are not that clean. Few branded stores. We got to the mall after walking from river walk and couldn’t find any benches to sit or relax. That’s why the four star.
Riverwalk was beautiful and historical, lots of shops, restaurants and different types of trees and plants. Take the riverwalk boat tour, it's very informative and you can see all of it from comfortable seating instead of getting tired from having to walk around to see it all.
I found this place exploring!!! I had no idea this place was just across the street from our hotel. We walked and shopped for hours, I like this malls design and set up. Cool from the heat. Dry from the rain. Fun people watching. Thank you for your services all that work here.
LOVED THIS HIDDEN GEM. the outside looks horrible but the inside in nice. The shops closed at 7pm but the physical mall doesn't lock down til 12am.... so park anywhere and you can still walk thru the mall to get 2 your vehicle on any level after the shops close.
Went here for the first time last week. There are a lot of stores and restaurants. I liked the boat ride, and learned a lot about San Antonio's history. Dined at one of their restaurants, it was tropical themed. Food was ok. Definitely a tourist town.
I like this mall here! It's huge and have amazing views. This mall is mostly for the cool views around it and not so much the stores. But how amaxingly cool it is. It also has great restaurants and some great stores. I like the indoor/ outdoor feel.
A great place to shop, eat and to have fun with your family. There were several restaurants in the mall and the environment was cool. The movie theatre provides a luxurious experience with its plush seating, ample legroom, and excellent sightlines.
It was decent enough. Clearly a busy weekend with the large number of tourists. It's seen better days but it does have some good attractions that will keep people coming. Being adjacent to the Riverwalk and having live entertainment is a big plus.
Very nice mall with perfect view and access to river boat tours. Good kids play area and good number of restaurants in and around . Parking little expensive but easily accessible . Recommendable place as a first stop if you are new to that area.
Nice modern mall right on the river. Has been clean every time I've been there. Parking in the area is annoying but you probably already know that if you're visiting the river. Convenient to come here to shop and then walk over to the river.
River Center Mall has improved tremendously over the years. Park in the garage and walk straight in. Tons of shopping and great restaraunt choices. Access to the riverwalk. A perfect spot for anyone living in or visiting San Antonio, Texas!
Nice place to visit at the evening. The night view is very nice. Lot of food places are available in the shores of the river. Taking a boat trip is also a good option here. The night view is beautiful. Everyone will be able to find a place
Riverwalk is a very beautiful must see if traveling to San Antonio or surrounded cities! We went mid week do it was pretty empty but we enjoyed having the space and time to enjoy the views as well as all the stores, shops and restaurants!
This place needs a pressure wash for a month, before it shall be opened to the public. It is dirty beyond recognition. Homeless do make the unsanitary situation worse. Other than that it would be a great place to bring a family around.
Wow, has this place transformed to accommodate the tourist whom travel here from around the world to visit San Antonio, Texas. You have the two hotels connected to the (what in the past was called Rivercenter mall) convenience, liquor
What a great place. We bought souvenirs and had a great time. The riverwalk is unlike anything out there. We will most definitely be back. We had a great experience, and Rivercenter is the place to be when staying in San Antonio, Tx.
A very clean and nice mall. I bought a couple nice clothes not very expensive. There’s also a bunch of nice souvenirs to take back to Europe for my family! The toilets were clean and the food was good. Definitely recommend visiting!
Limited stores at this indoor mall, but they do have the Cowboys Pro Shop, Margaritaville Restaurant, H & M, and the Sealife San Antonio inside the mall, so it's worth the visit. There are also several food court restaurants here.
Great mall has loads of shopping and entertainment and right next to the Alamo. There is the AMC in the mall with IMAX theater, Lego store- theme park, lots of restaurants there is just so much to do I can go on and on.
Love the boat ride at night. All the history by the drives also you get a look at the restaurants and stores ohh and don't forget the mall. Extra special in.the double bus ride#?! 40 dollars a person. So not worth it.
Wonderful shopping center. There is a play area that kids can go on. Our son had a great time! Lots of stores to choose from. Legos is what we went there for and Legos we got! Go check it out if you're in the area!
Awesome mall, we have fun getting on the escalators, the food court doesn't have that many choices to choose from. Got to take beautiful pictures from the top, of the river walk and the boats. It was great
No major complaints, it's an indoor mall at the anchor point of one of America's largest tourist destinations, The River Walk. Decent selection, lots of hallway vendors, small but neat ropes course.
A large shopping mall with plenty to do. They have food, rides, attractions, & plenty of stores. It sits right at the end of the famous San Antonio Riverwalk. It's really easy to spend a day here.
Typical mall experience as far as stores are concerned. What is really cool is the kid zone where they can climb, zip line, and walk tight ropes. Plenty of restaurants and access to the Riverwalk.
Nice place. Kind of like Amsterdam. Lots of shops and restaurants across all the way around. Has a very European feel. I would definitely come here again to see this historic place come alive.
It’s old, dirty, and not a very nice experience. I was there to see Napoleon and was very disappointed with theater 2 cleanliness, the condition of seat D7, the nachos, and the overall smell.
Nice place to shop and pick up things while on vacation. Lots of places to eat and the river walk boats stop right in the middle. Lego land, Dave and busters, lots of shops and things to do.
Only down fall is if your hungry don't buy a big drink. You can't enter a restaurant with it. The walk was nice. Store employees were friendly. Will visit again when i can travel that way
I hadn't been to the River center in ages. A lot has changed. Didn't get to see much because I was there for adult night at the Legoland Discovery Center. Definitely worth checking out.
The Riverwalk is a beautiful place filled with shops and restaurants of all kinds. Art galleries and museums. We also did the river cruise. By far it was the best tour in San Antonio.
The place is beautiful, and the view is just one you can't get over! Loved walking around exploring the shops. One issue was that its not really sanitary at any table you sit at.
Beautiful place on the Riverwalk. Did the boatride. Was awesome. The guide gave you the history of the buildings. All types of unique stores at the Rivercenter. Lots of walking.
One of my favorite shopping venues. If I'm running in and out for something I need at the last minute or spending a couple of hours leisurely shopping Rivercenter is my go to.
San Antonio's Riverwalk is wonderful place and we enjoyed going through it. We did not do much shopping, however - but there was plenty of opportunity to do so had we wanted.
Shops at Rivercenter has plenty of fun, food, shopping and sights for all. Surrounded by so many other great attractions in the downtown area makes this a must stop spot.
Love visiting here ✨️ There are a variety of restaurants to eat at and stores to purchase whatever kind of merchandise you may be looking for. ✨️✨️ …
Nice riverside walk, lovely and colorful shops on both the sides of river, Mexican delicacies, live performances, and many more! Must go at least once in San Antonio!
There are plenty of shops and fun adventures here. Plan a whole day to visit, and you won't be disappointed. Oh, and of course, it's close to the Alamo and Riverwalk
Lots of fun for everyone. Great shopping. Good restaurants. The boat tour was great. It gave us the opportunity to see much more than we would have on foot.
It's pretty as ever, although a lot more subdued than before because of the pandemic. It is always fun to watch the boats turn around the River Center bend.
Slow time of year and with covid was not crowded and lots of shops closed. Did ride the boat tours. Stopped at several places for meals, food good.
This is a beautiful mall that provides an entrance to the Riverwalk and the Riverwalk boats. If you're in need of a Starbucks you'll find one here.
Real close to value parking. 25 bucks for 12 hours. Next door to the Alamo and Ripley's. Also the mirror maze place was really fun too.
Definitely worth a walk around until you find the margaritas then it becomes a great place. Take the river cruise its fun aswell
Have to find parking and pay for it. But lots of shops. Place was clean. The Riverwalk is pretty too. Plenty of food choices.
Friday was so beautiful and windy my daughter and I decided to hangout at #rivercenteramall #sanantonioriverwalk #riverwalk
Several shops and lots of room to walk and enjoy the scenery. So many snack and restaurant options in one location.
Great selection of shops! Many food choices around. And also many attractions like legoland and sealife San Antonio
There was a nice variety of shops and vendors to experience. The Riverwalk itself was pretty, especially at night.
Many restaurants and business to see. Love the Sugar Store and River Sweets stire. Restroom were good and clean.
I got to take pictures with Santa, Ms. Clause & The Grinch So worth the wait and they came out perfect ❤️ …
Parking was reasonable for 2 hrs. $10. Lots of shops. Clean. Escalators not working and 1 elevator not working.
This entire area is beautiful. You can always find a souvenir for your San Antonio visit in one of these shops.
I like coming to this mall, it has a large variety of shopping stores. And a great place for tourists to shop.
Nice mall, good variety and well maintained. Connection to the Riverwalk is great! Would reccomend visiting.
Great selection of shops and restaurants. Nice walk along the the river ,clean and great places to eat.
Such a Beautiful place! So many restaurants, shops. You literally have everything at your fingertips.
There is an aquarium and legoland $40 dls each entrance, it’s a nice place to eat and spend time.
It was ok. A nice location, but needed a bit more directory signs. It was very easy to get lost.
Fun. Clean, and open. Kids love the zip line fun zone on the 2nd floor. Put in your visit list.
Place was amazing I found all the Christmas gifts for my kids! Hope they love it! …
