RUN do not walk - THIEVES We took our 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee with a V8 engine to Sincere Auto in late Feb 2014 when our Power Steering pump failed. They replaced the pump which we've had nothing but trouble with since. Today my partner looked up the #'s from that pump and discovered the part installed was for a 6 Cylinder Engine NOT a V8. However since the car is now past the "warranty" there is of course NOTHING we can do even though it's the part we paid for. Lesson learned all I can do is warn others. Another thing our Jeep had a black Die Hard battery when it left our home on the tow truck however, when we got it back the battery in it was an orange battery that was old dead and scratched up. This battery was of an amp for a car not a Jeep which is the reason it wouldn't hold a charge and was constantly dying every time the car was turned off and also why it had to be jumped at the shop when we picked it up. The fact it was constantly dying was known to Ron within the 1st week when we took the car back to get more power steering fluid and something tweeked on the power steering, but he blew it off. We didn't discover the switch for a couple months as we were forced to pull the Jeep off the road to fix something else immediately after picking it up and never thought Ron would steel from us, we also kept second guessing that it was a different battery. While the Jeep was in the shops custody the radiator fan mysteriously stopped working. No indication of any issue previous to this. Ron quoted a price of 1,300 for the part alone to fix labor not included to which I said no we'll fix it ourselves as my partner is a Certified ASE Technician but due to his health we choose to send it to their shop to fix. When I reminded Ron of this he got a deer in headlight look "Oh shoot" but didn't say anything. I found the part on Ebay, used for 210, & we replaced it ourselves. It just took us a while due to the bolts proving that the labor that would've been charged by a mechanic would've been another 1,000 if performed by Ron. It's notable there were 4 other Jeeps on the lot at the same time as ours not sure if this was an issue or cause however I will NEVER go back. Extremely disappointed as this shop has NEVER done us wrong before on our other car in the past however, NEVER AGAIN and I'd recommend everybody else find another shop to go and do your research first.

My brakes failed and unfortunately I ended up bringing it to this place. They were very friendly n have been around for some time, plus I was referred. I was really at ease n had faith they would let me know what all was wrong with my truck n fix my brakes along with all my fluids to be topped off, brakes, tuneup, oil changes, a strut etc. They called later saying Id have to repair my entire breakline so my bill would be 4100 n some change but didnt say there was any other issues outside of what was on my original list. I was told by my referral not to pay it but I had faith theyd get my truck all the way right so it would be worth it, plus I didnt want to move it again. Long story short they finished after almost two weeks but the day I was to pick it up they said I needed a sway bar or it would damage my transmission, I told them id check it later because I needed my truck back, that was in January, by March I was broke down. I towed it to their shop n as soon as they open I was there calm, non accusatory because at that time the only thing I knew was that they left a cap under my hood. So in conclusion the guy I spoke to said he was the owner but behaved as a buffoon, he said I took 15 mins telling him what was wrong with my truck even tho when I got back in my truck it was 8:11 and half that time he was tending to other customers, he was very nasty to me saying also that "everyone esle drops off thier key n keeps it pushing" so eventually we argued because I couldnt beleive he handled me that way with rude banter. They still arent a bit concerned n he refused to check my truck saying it was because I wanted to watch from a square window outside the garage, hollaring at me saying it was unresonable so , in all I had a horrible experience here , I feel robbed and cheated n very disrespected. Come to find out the fact they didnt change my transmission fluild leaving me driving with low nasty old transmission fluild probably the reason my transmission has an issue, plus they claimed my sway bar would damage it but from my research n the owners father even admitted the sway bar doesnt cause trans to go out so yeah I recommend not trusting this shop , nor giving a dime of your valuable hard earned money seriously. BEWARE

Poor Communication and my car runs worse than it did when I brought it in. Really disappointed in the horrible service I recieved from Sincere Auto Care. I called on Thursday morning to see if they could get the car looked at that day. They said they were confident they would be able to get the initial check in that day. After not hearing anything, I called on Friday, the next day at 1pm and they still had not looked at the car. They called 2 hours later to say they thought it was a distributor cap and would be putting that on. They also mentioned that it was good that my car was not triggering any codes in the diagnosis. So I figure I'll be getting a call to pick up the car. After no hearing anything for the rest of the day, I called them on Saturday at 10:30AM and they told me that they're not sure it's the distributor cap and need to run more test that they may not get to until Monday. So I let them know that I was frustrated and they ran the tests shortly after. They called at 11:00am to tell me I needed a new Fuel Pump Relay but couldn't get the part until Monday. I called a nearby supply store and picked up the part myself and brought it to them. They snapped it in and drove the car out to me. I asked them if it was running well with the new part. He said it was running great. It was the end of the day so I went home to get my wife so we could pick up my car. I got in the car and started it and the Service Engine light came on and it's louder than it's ever been and it immediately stalled. I'm frustrated that they communicated so poorly through the process. I initiated almost every call to find out what was going on and they clearly did not test it properly. I'm expecting a full refund of the diagnostic charge when I confront them, first thing on Monday and will be promptly bringing my car to a new mechanic.

I drove the car in for a diagnostic check. He called later in the day saying that the car had multiple problems but didn't really get specific. He then said the car was out of gas and that I should bring my gas can. It was low when I brought it in, but not empty. I went in to pick the car up and put a gallon of gas in it. I turned the key, and the power came on and I had a security warning on the dash that said that the starter was disabled. This was totally new. He admitted that their diagnostics may have caused it. He was going to have the technician talk to me, but never did. I had paid a $40 diagnostic fee and afterward the guy who rang me out said "ok, you can leave now". We went outside and tried internet recommended ways for rebooting the security system and none of them worked. At first the owner came out and hooked the battery up to a charger for us. He started saying all of the reasons why the situation was my fault. Then they just kind of started ignoring us, then left for the day. I had to pay $50 to have the car towed back to my house. So, I wasted a bunch of time and $90, they did not diagnose the car, and now it doesn't even start! I have paid Sincere to work on my cars multiple times over the years, so I was really surprised by this treatment. The guy acted like he didn't know who I was, but I just paid them to replace a wheel bearing on my truck about 4-5 months ago, and I once paid them for an over $1200 repair bill. If he doesn't know, he should. The tow truck driver told me that I was the third customer that he had towed a vehicle out of there for recently, and we all had similar stories. I also noticed that their internet rating is low now. Maybe he has so much business that he doesn't need mine?

I am a big person on supporting local businesses especially within my neighborhood and unfortunately I cannot support this business any longer. Myself and my family have brought our cars to the shop for the past year and we have run across issues every single time our cars have been in the shop. The first two times they supposedly fixed the issue only for us to pick up the car and drive it around to realize that the car had not been fixed and then have to bring it back for them to realize that they made a mistake and did not fix it the first time. This most recent time I brought my car and explained what was going on, we personally hooked up the car to a reader a shared with them the codes that came up. Part of the service I had to pay a diagnosis fee for them to hopefully further determine what is actually wrong. They then told me what the issue was so i decided to move forward and pay for the repairs thinking my car would be fixed. Not too much of a surprise to find that after picking up the car, it was back to having almost the same issues as before almost as if nothing had been fixed. We bring it back within an hour of picking it up into only for them to tell me that there are more issues going on that they didn’t detect before. One of the owners even said it’s probably best getting out of the car and getting a new one. Extremely frustrated as I feel I wasted money this most recent trip when I could’ve either taken it somewhere else who would have properly diagnosed my car before paying money or just got out of my car altogether.

Wife brought my son's car in for a coolant leak. Shop calls her back to say that they need to make a $300 repair before they can run more diagnostics. They call back to say that we need a new engine - new head gasket best case. $3K, give or take. Now this car isn't worth that - something that's pretty obvious to everyone. I called the shop after I heard that story. Wanted to know if they'd told her before she authorized the first repair what they would be testing for afterwards and what it might cost to fix *that*. Long story short - nope. Guy says he isn't gonna guess at what a repair might cost and she couldn't have made any other decision than pay the $300 and find out what comes next anyway. Maybe you think that's a fair ball, maybe you don't. Me, I don't think you gotta be ASE certified to understand "you gotta spend $300 to find out you might have to spend another $3k. On a car you couldn't sell for that if it was working." Doesn't make it easy, but it's a choice any one of us can make. So is "I'm gonna need a second opinion, what do I owe you for the diagnostic?" But you gotta have the info and this guy didn't give it to her. Like I said, you have to decide whether or not you think he played fair. But while you're thinking, I'll tell you one more thing: the shop we went to next can't find anything wrong with that head gasket. Choose wisely, friends.

For those who want to get their car truly fixed steer Clear. I had taken my wife’s Jeep compass in to get checked out as it did not start or stay on very long without it idling and die. We had left it there over four days while we’re on vacation and we are got a call on the third day that it was fixed we paid for it over the phone which was nice and that was convenient. The downside and most upsetting part is I was told it was fixed and they solve the issue when we picked it up and turned it on it immediately gave the check engine light again and was reading the same codes that we took it in for as I have a code scanner. Flash forward two days as we got it on a Sunday they spent more time with it and one of the Ron’s said that he pinpoint it down to two possible issues the youngest one when we picked it up stated that there should be no reason why the codes are still on it and the way it’s acting. If you truly fix something there shouldn’t be a reason why something is still going on. They clearly do not stand behind their work and just pawn it off on some other problem. it would have been nice to know that after $400 of repairs it is still not driveable. Please rethink taking tour car to them

  • IndyMc

I had a good experience last time I was here, and found these guys through a recommendation from a friend who has been going to them for years from the neighborhood.. so I hate to have to write this. I had an obvious clunk on my drivers side and figured they could diagnose it and get me on my way. The end result was a $2000-$2500 quote and a $40 charge for an inspection with unprofessional notes and a failure at a proper diagnosis. I 100% feel like they are trying to take advantage of people now, which is disappointing. I obviously did not take them up on the ridiculous quote, jacked my vehicle up when I got home and was able to find the issue within 10 minutes. There was a bushing completely missing on my steering rack, it made the loudest clunk (even by hand) and was incredibly easy to see once I was underneath it. I’m nothing more than an amateur YouTube mechanic so this was disheartening to find after wasting my time and money. I went to O’reilly, picked up my 2 for $28 bushings and was on my way clunk free. Get your “Second opinion” somewhere else .

I will NEVER use this company again. I had my sister’s car towed here because it would not start. After having the car at their shop for three+ months and paying them $1100, they still couldn’t fix the car. They claimed something was wrong with the transmission, yet I don’t see anything on the paper about transmission repairs. Communication was horrible. They never kept us informed of what was going on with the car. We always had to call them. They charged us for a fuel pump, a new interstate battery, and labor. Why the hell are we paying for things when they didn’t fix anything!!! The owner was rude and obviously did not value his customers. Hindsight is always 20/20, and I wish I would have just taken it to a dealership to begin with. Since they didn’t fix it, and it costs us more money out of pocket because they had it so long, you would think they would have given back more than just $300. REALLY?!…. This place is a rip off. We will see you in small claims court! BUYER BEWARE!

  • Lesley Chowning

My experience has been very bad I was charged over 150 for a battery and had a warranty on the last battery but they talked me into putting another brand new battery in and they still didn’t diagnose my car right. I was told I would have a free diagnostic test done. So I had my car towed back for the diagnostic again then the guy was mad I wouldn’t let him charge me for 399 for the starter and took my car else where. My car still isn’t working yet I’ve been charged 109 dollars for nothing. This guy is a complete rip off and only is in it for the money. Never take your car here. Only reason I did at first was because of the reasonable prices but they never diagnose exactly what your car needs. Only take your money and that’s it. What was supposed to be a free diagnostic charge for him charging for a battery that wasn’t the problem ended up costing 109 and my car still isn’t fixed. I’m very pissed and unhappy with this rip off. Ugh very disgusted.

I started taking my car to Sincere because my parents have been using them for years. I have always had a good experience there and have never had any problems. If you have a major issue they are more reasonable in cost than the big box car stores like Midas or Jiffy Lube, but charge a little more for small jobs like oil changes. I still take my car to Midas or Jiffy Lube for small jobs like oil changes but after a recent trip to one of these stores got a quote on other things that needed fixed like brakes and engine fluid replacement. The quote was $1600, so I took it to Sincere for a second opinion. I got a free quote and it was $700. That is quite a difference from $1600, the reason for it being different is the big box store was charging me for things to be replaced not repaired and was way over on labor hours. I would always recommend getting two quotes just have Sincere be one of those. Great Team, Great Service, Great work done!

  • D Eppes

Very disappointed in the quality of work on my vehicle. Went in for an oil change took my car home put it the garage and the next day found oil all over the floor of my garage!! When I went up there to tell them Ronnie just said "well sorry we just dropped the ball, the mechanic must of forgot to screw the cap back on". Dropped the ball!! If I'd decided to go anywhere else that day besides home I'd been sitting on the side of the road with my engine messed up!! And this is after I'd already given them previous business fixing other things on my car, spending big money with them, and this is how they respond to such an egregious error on their part. Not to mention bad communication and unprofessionalism. I understand they've been in business for a long time however being in business that long they should have learned to value their customer and not just throw one away because they messed up. NEVER WOULD RECOMMEND INSINCERE AUTO.

  • Katie Sanchez

My Truck has been sitting at Sincere Auto Care for almost a month. They were working with my Warranty company to get a new transmission. In the Last month I recieved one phone call saying the new transmission was on it's way. Today My Husband was told we owe $600 for labor! Never once was I told about this cost or asked if I wanted to continue. I called and spoke with Ron and the whole conference he spoke over me, got loud and would not allow me to talk. He is very unprofessional and Rude. He told me to take it up with my warranty company but I've never spoken to them. Sincere had called them and everything was discussed between them and the warranty company. I do not recommend coming here as there was no communication about my Truck and we had to call weekly to check up but was never told about a cost. They always made it sound like warranty covered everything.

AWWWFULL EXPERIENCE we brought our cadlillac here in perfect condition with just a problem with the ignition switch they took a WEEK and didnt even know what was wrong with it so we wanted the car back to just take it to cadillac where they could ACTUALLY fix the car .then they told us the car wouldnt start now even though it was working fine. So again we brouht the car up there working fine and they broke our car and told us there was nothing they could do . DONT EVER GET UR CAR FIXED HERE HORRIBLE. When we were trying to sale one of our cars they also told us spray pff the engine and then sale the car before the car goes out. That just shows how "sincere" they are. Will be pressing charges against this company.

  • Nancy Sivertsen

My grandson's old car died on a Saturday night in a two-hour tow zone on the side of the highway in Indianapolis. We luckily got it towed, and one of the tow employees advised us to use Sincere Auto. What a lucky break! The car is 15 years old, so who knows what could be wrong with it? We had it towed to Sincere, and they diagnosed that it was repairable, and at an affordable price. Also since I told him it was my grandson's car, they gave it special care and found a couple of other things that needed attention on the car, and performed those repairs as well. Great people, great family-owned business! I would use them always if I lived in Indianapolis. They are an awesome outfit!

  • Dennis Morris

Had a small fender bender accident and the check engine light came on. Went to Sincere Auto Care to get it diagnosed. At first only old issues came up and they cleared them and all seemed fine for a couple of days. Check engine light came on again and they got me in the next morning. After completely looking over the engine a very small, but important part sounded bad and they replaced it. Problem solved for only $151.00 car runs great. Also changed oil, rotated the tires and checked out everything else for about $100. Will always go back here for trusted auto care. Getting bumper replaced for only $680 someplace else as Sincere Auto Care doesn't do body work. Thanks Sincere.

  • Alfonza Smith Jr.

I was told last week to bring my Mazda6 in on Tuesday to look at air conditioning system. Got a $70 rental car for the day to get to and from work in. When I called later at lunchtime to see progress, I was told they would not get to my car until late next day. When I went back at end of day to retrieve my vehicle, there was no apologee given at front desk for the mishap. Highly disappointed for lack of customer service or "sincere" care about my misfortune of having to waist $$ and inconvenience on getting rental car for nothing.

  • Jason Wilson

Took my car for a front end alignment they told me my car would be done for sure the next day so i dropped it off and after 10 hours my car is still not done very slow and poor service would not recommend them for anything i have taking a couple of my cars here and its either went back numerous of times or they have not held up to there end of the bargain very poor service my cars will NEVER come back to this shop

  • Nancy Murray

Sincere is awesome. They are honest, reliable and good at what they do. My only problem is I can no long go there as they do not take appointments and since I have no one to take me back home I have to wait on me car and I can't do that there since they don't take appointments. It is too far for a senior to walk.

  • Tony White

To be honest this place is overrated! I've took my car up there to get fixed, and it came back with another problem! I asked these people to fix everything that's wrong with my car but the same day something else has been added to the bill I do not trust this Sincere Auto place for nothing in the world! :-(

  • Robin Bleichner

This family-owned business provides honest, trustworthy and fast service. We thought our Honda Accord was going to need a full transmission repair, but these guys were able to identify and fix the issue with same-day service at a fraction of the cost we anticipated. I’ll never take my car anywhere else.

  • Katherine Arritt

The staff here is knowledgeable and extremely helpful. I appreciate the fact that being a woman I didn't feel like I was gouged by the prices like I feel llike at so many other places. They are a little out of my way but for the services and prices they are worth it for me to use them. Great job!!

  • Tiffany Carmichael

Don't go here. They only care about money and they are lies. It will 50 cars on the lot and the will tell you to bring your car up there and it will be fixed same day but you won't get your car back til the following week. Use to like them years ago until I found out how they really are

  • Touhoast

I've taken my vehicle to Sincere several times, and have always found their work and expertise to be amazing. Some people complain that they take a while, mostly due to the fact that many Hoosiers give their business to Sincere for obvious reasons. 5/5 stars

  • Caleb Payne

I found this shop to be honest and full of integrity with a solid assessment of my car situation. Our vehicle broke down on vacation and they helped us navigate the challenges of that situation. Very appreciative to Ron and his staff. Highly recommend.

  • Jacquelyn Tschudy

I have taken my vehicle to this location for several years. I find comfort knowing they always work hard and treat me fairly. They are honest and truly care about their customers. Sincere Auto is my go to whenever I have any questions about cars.

Multi generation family ran shop. Had problems with my 2010 CX7. They got it diagnosed and fixed right away. Prices were just right for a few other things I had them do. Always busy but they will get you taken care of in the right time frame.

  • Allen Strife

The go to mom n pop shop on the East side. I do most of my own work and maintenence but if I have to take it anywhere it's going to Sincere. Ron even called me after hours when I picked my ride up to make sure it was all good, and it all was.

  • Trevor Farnsworth

The best and friendliest spot for auto service. I had an emergency repair that was threatening to ruin my upcoming vacation and they squeezed me in. Hassle free, friendly, convenient, affordable. They made a lifelong customer today.

  • Brett Dant

They were nice, offered to do several things that needed to be fixed on the vehicle. I gave them the on for some but not the cabin filter. The cabin filter was replaced and I was charged anyway. Perhaps a simple miscommunication.

  • Connie Denu

The customer service is great. They take the time to explain how things work and why it needs fixed. I have always had my car ready in the time i needed it, with no problems. Affordable also. Really great place. Highly recommend

  • Dee Emerson

I purchased my transmission and I just needed it installed. I was told that I had to purchase my parts through them. I was blessed with an mechanic that accepted my part and installed at a very reasonable rate.

  • Chris Wilkins

They determined what was causing the "check engine " light to come on...even though it was not on at the time. Low oil...they even added 2 qts before knowing if I was going to have them do the oil change.

  • Truth Hertz

I thought they did a good job on what I wanted them to do until much later when I discovered they took a short cut and installed the wrong part. Everything works, just not like it should. Lied to me.

  • Pam Briner

We were stuck being from out of town. They gave us rides to and from the hotel, and a fair price on the repair. Very understanding and completed the work efficiently and well. Highly recommend them
