Regular customer, pretty solid place all around and has only gotten better over the past 5 years. Can't fault the food as long as you know what to order. Meat was always soft and not charred/dry unlike other local kebab places where the doner on the spit would just be twirling away, getting drier by the second. No outrageous wait times either unlike certain bigger kebab businesses (glenny kebabs). HSP - A well portioned, solid feed, sometimes rarely there is a lot of excess oil at the bottom of the container. Standard chip salt used but would be amazing if they had the peri peri salt as an option. Kebab - Once again pretty solid - would opt for the pita over the turkish bread as it's easier to eat (better eating experience that way). Comes with garlic sauce but would advise to also add chilli sauce. Baklava - Can't fault it, comes in a prepackaged container so you don't have to eat it all at once. Rice + meat bowl; mixed open kebab (essentially a meat + salad bowl) - both pale in comparison to kebab/HSP. Rice + meat bowl relies too much on the sauces for flavour (it's not a great combination) and the mixed open kebab generally feels underwhelming without a pita bread to bind it all together. The restaurant has also branched out with burgers and more 'international' spins on the classic kebab menu, haven't tried any out yet but overall would definitely recommend their kebabs/HSP. Their HSPs are leagues better than the other kebab places in the local area, and are up there for the best consistent ones in south-east melbourne.

Utterly disorganized and shameful food quality/ presentation. I ordered a Mixed platter, supposed to come with meat, rice, pita, salad and dip. Got my order... They gave me no bread/ pita. Specified garlic and barbecue sauce on the meat twice, got neither, no sauce whatsoever! They only had two dips available, so i got the tzatziki, they gave me half a spoonful and spliced it with watery runny yogurt which tasted awful. The yogurt wasn't in the item description but they half filled one section of my food container with it Salad was abysmal, literally only lettuce tomato and onion, tomato tasted half rotten. Rice was stale and in large clumps, like it was made hours ago. Didn't get bread, didn't get sauce, tiny portion of dip spliced with yogurt water, terrible salad, stale rice. Do yourself a favor, order from somewhere else! Its the third and last time I've tried this place, worst kebabs I've ever had. Will my taking my patronage somewhere else from now on! I ate half of it because i was dead hungry, the bit of BBQ sauce in the middle was added by me to make the meat edible.

This is a great place. I moved into the area about 8 months ago and have taken a fondness to Sip n Bite. While the best HSP goes to a place in the city I go to (sorry, hence the loss of one star but certainly nothing to be ashamed of), the food is delicious. I read the other reviews about their customer service but in my experience I always find the boys really friendly towards me even though none of them can correctly pronunciate my name. They are also pretty clean washing down their chairs and tables with soap every night, using new gloves everytime they take the old one off, and what seems to be a neat and tidy back of house. They earn bonus points with late opening hours. I wouldn't recommend delivery as their food is better off eaten as fresh as you can (so get a phone take away offer if you can). The place also does get a bit stuffy inside so you can come out smelling like kebab however the same can be said of most others kebab stalls. This place is recommended. Hope this review helps you! Me and my girlfriend just gave them a try. We wanted a chicken kebab and a lamb kebab, and when I ordered chicken, he tells me it's only lamb or mixed, despite there being chicken on the rotisserie behind him. Strike one. I ordered two mixed. I handed him a $20, and he took it with his gloved hand, what's more, his other hand was not gloved. Strike two. He walked off, not giving me my change, so I asked "didn't you say $19?", he says sorry and puts a $1 coin on the counter in front of him, not me. Strike three and four. I received our kebabs in reasonable time, and we ate them immediately in the car. They tasted pretty good however they were cold on one side (salad) and just warm on the other (meat). Do they not put them in a sandwich press? Strike five. These are such basic, yet critical errors, and totally easy to fix! It's such a shame that this performance was so hopeless. We eat a lot of kebabs but we won't be back. Five strikes and you're well and truly out.

Ordered from here a couple of times. Really enjoy their shakes and hsp, noticed that sometimes they mess up the deliveries and I’m usually pretty understanding about it But today it topped the cake for me. unfortunately i decided I no longer want to order from this place as I placed my order at 1:50pm, the eta was 2:20pm. When it got to 2:50pm I called asking where my food was and got hung up on, so I called them back straight away. They said my food was still being prepared. At 3:20pm (an hour past the eta) I called again, got told they would look into it and call me back. Finally at 3:30pm my hsp and shakes arrived. Sadly my food was cold and I was so angry that I’m not even hungry anymore. And never got a call back. How wonderful. Will be looking else for hsp and chocolate shakes from now.

Ordered HSP $19 as soon as i started eating, one big chunk of uncooked meat, i chewed on it as much as i could but end up spitting out That just put me off Had to shine the light from my phone direcltly into HSP box the whole time i was eating Chips were overly done and were not fresh been fried over and over again They were red and black in colour and lost their taste Didn't saw cheese in there Garlic sause taste like yoghurt. Boys need training on how to cut meat properly and not ever put old chips inside HSP place probably run by an Indian, i must say. It needs a pay rise for boys so that they can put effort when they making something.

Wish I could post a video here to show people how unbreakablethe chips was. I ordered a kebab combo meal Deal via ubereats on 2/10/2021, the only item that arrived normal was the Coca cola which didn't require cooking. The kebab was soggy af and messy, the chips was just unbelievable. The chips were as hard as pencils, they totally tasted burnt. It's just like everything that shouldn't happen to the chips has happened to the chips. My conclusion was that the store has re-cooked the chips at least twice, otherwise it wouldn't turn out like that. Lucky I got the refund for the chips. Go somewhere for kebabs peeps.

I've had a very bad experience with this place regarding the staff. I placed a delivery order, I gave the driver 30$ because I thought him saying 30$ instead of 13$, he gave me 7 $ change, I realized it should be 13 not 30, driver denied and drove off. I rang and it was told the driver would come back in 15 min., after 20 min I rang again, as the driver hadn't come back and the person I've spoken with called me an idiot and said he didn't care about customer service and hang up the phone. This is the SECOND time, we have ordered from this place and there was a problem with change. The food is average, and the baclava is dry and tasteless. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS PLACE, UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE STOLEN FROM.

Hey i visited the shop on Wednesday in the night at 6pm on 18/07/2018 for chicken HSP the person who was serving at that time behaved very rudely as if i have taken his thousands of dollars and still didn't returned to him that was very discusting manager of that shop should be responsible for keeping such useless staff who even don't know to speak in polite way.yeah you guy's can tell that some time customer's mistake will also be there for such behaviour. But i didn't say anything just asked for HSP he started speaking loudly anyway will never visit again and for the manager if you just care for your shop atleast read this and have some shame for having such a rediculus staff

Do not go to these guy it is a complete rip off I pay 25 dollers for double meat and rice and I get a small portion that my 6 year old would be able to eat without left overs they are a completely rip you off they just want to charge you though the roof for nothing I recommend to go to other restaurants that will be a lot cheaper then these cheap skates if you want better food go to Mr & Mrs kebab they have better prices and way bigger food portions I can pay 21 at Mr Mrs kebab and gets chips and a drink or 17 for double meat and rice

The kebab down here is good but you should be having it immediately, else the kebab becomes soggy . Normally I get mine and eat it in the car park itself as the ambience in the shop is not that good. One of the main thing that needs to improved is how they handle the customers. The people who work down there don’t show much respect. The person who is worst in this is a fat guy i think he is the owner of that place and he has never treated the customers in a good way. I don't normally have issues with this place. I ordered a meal which came with sauce and they had forgotten the sauce last time so I made sure I mentioned it when ordering, not to be a pain but to make sure I got it this time. Food comes. No sauce. I call the store and they actively fight me over a container of sauce. And tell me I haven't paid for it even though I have a receipt that says I have. Never heard anybody so rude and so defensive over sauce. I also got the wrong kebab, so I called back again and was he ridiculously rude again. Not at all likely to go back, based on how they dealt with it.

My wife tried to place an order over the phone but there english was no good, when they arrived they where intimidated by there foreign tongue spoken between staff and perplexed by there disgusting attitude towards then. Everything they asked for was a problem or a no. I told them not to go there as I had a ordinary experience the last time I went there. It's now confirmed for me that this place I will avoid forever and go to Marmaris in Hawthorn Rd. Goodbye SNB. Maybe you should learn what customer service is? I wish Google had zero stars, I would have given that. Absolutely non sense and the most illiterate behaviour to the delivery drivers who are struggling with their lives to get deliveries to earn for their survival and doing deliveries in even any kind of weather. Literally cannot believe this such kind of shop exists in the most liveable city of the world. Such people should be banned from entering this holy food market of Australia. There are many drivers who doesn’t take a stand against such shops due to their compulsion to survive in such difficult times.

Staff are really lovely and friendly! Seriously such great attitude despite it being late at night. Kebabs are good (I had the falafel and hash brown and it was yum!) and the chips are okay but not great or the best (though they do taste really good when you're starving). They have eftpos available so you don't have to worry about carrying cash only and they have a nice range of options from kebabs to burgers. There's a good amount of parking available as well and there's seating inside if you want to eat there but it's also a nice waiting spot as well.

is it possibe to rate any stars for food that wasn't received and service that was not rendered? ordered via their app and was promptly charged for the order. 3 hrs later, i'm still waiting for what should have been my lunch. App says that my order was completed and delivery time keeps creeping up. tried calling the store to find out what's happened, but after 47 attempts, all i got for my effort was 44 unanswered calls and 3 hang ups. i gave up. deleted the app. chalking this one down to "Sip N Bite The Dust" for me

Successful try hards. Much effort, to be commended, but spinning their wheels. Loud marketing, but follow up isn't there. The food is ok, good even, (depending on your perspective), but the service is lacking. Listening to the customer would weigh heavily in favour. No one is perfect, so don't expect your customers to be. In turn, I won't complain when I said no onion, and found lots. It wasn't busy. When it is, ok, I can forgive mistakes, not too many. But when it is quiet, worship me, I am your evangelist.

Earlier i gave 2 stars to the restaurant, but i change my thought based on today's experience - 1)How much the owner give attention to each review at this point(really rare and appreciate this nature as well). And 2) How much the staff gives attention to the point of owner on reviews, and if they see you next time at their shop they come to the customer and discuss the past experience. Out of above mentioned 2 things, i usually see only one in other restaurants. But to have both things is a gem combination.

Kebabs are average, flavours not robust nor is the meat fresh. Only concern is the hygiene and staff cleanliness. Picking or scratching body parts prior to serving food without washing is a no no for any food handlers. Most staff are friendly but have had a couple rude and ill mannered staffwho require a bit of customer service training. Overall, won't come here as often after the few incidents tbat raised my concerns about the cleanliness. I came back to see if they improved hence I said a few times.

The kebabs at Sip N Bite are amongst the finest in the world. Generous portions of meat with a good balance of salad. They offer every sauce with each kebab- not limited to two or three , they offer all. The meat is cooked at a high radiated temperature so as not to be steamed, it is cooked so as to be slightly toasted with intense local flavour over succulent tender slices. The staff are forward, jovial, and direct- you will get what you ordered. They offer value packs and family deals.

Sunday evening delivery was 45mins late so I waited 1 &1/2 hrs for a cold soggy kebab. Really disappointed because the food is usually great (they're always 10-15mins late on delivery but usually fresh!) and the service I was offered was terrible!! They were clearly busy but were rude on the phone and blatantly lied telling me the food had left the store and was 5mins away when it took another 20mins. So disappointed. Used to order from here all the time but won't again!

so these guys say on google maps say they be open till 1:30an and supply nuggies to all till 1:30am but no, we got there at 1:10am and they say they close, but No! they not be close cause they say no be close until 1:30am but they say to me they close now?! with open sign still up?! i say is want nuggies now, but no they say no we close now, so i go and say no you no close yet, they dont like. 1 star. next time we get fish n chops >:(

Pathetic service. Ordered falafel wraps and told them we were in a hurry. Got there in 10-12 mins for pickup and were told they forgot and didn’t have anything ready. My experience there was bizarre,they got every order wrong,the chips where cooked 5 minutes before they started putting kebabs together and then they put chips back in oil for couple of seconds before putting it into container. I'm amazed at how these guys continue to keep there doors open. The only way I would go back to this pitiful place is if I see an Under New Management sign out the front.

DONT ORDER FROM HERE. My girlfriend and I ordered a kebab and and open box kebab last night, my kebab was soggy and her open box WAS COLD. we had to heat it up and we’ve both been food poisoned, she’s been violently vomiting and has had painful gastro all day and I’m worried sick and I’m struggling to move, they also forgot some items and didn’t even have change, ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING.

This was my first time coming to this place and probably the last. the place was dirty, tables not cleaned. ordered a kebab, the guy making my kebab didn't use gloves when making my order, i said something to my mate and i think they over heard me and then he put gloves on. first rule of thumb is to not handle food when you have touched money. wouldn't advise anyone to go there.

I ordered a chicken kebab and hot chips. The food arrived lukewarm which considering the distance from my place, was surprising. The kebab itself, was average, but it was drenched in sauce, leaking everywhere in the bag before even opening it. The chips were soggy and lukewarm also, they were okay best. Might consider ordering here again if I cannot find a better place.

This is a the worse kebab shop I have ever been into, rude behavior, asked staff to put extra sauce and he literally added no sauce because he was being a prick. HSP had great tasting meat and well cut, sauces were applied nicely however it loses a star because the chips were dysmal, there weren't enough chips and the chips that were present were not thick, they were those bottom of the barrel short thin chips that you'd find at the bottom of a maccas packet. Everything else though was fine.

Food has become terrible since they changed owners. Cold HSP, chips weren't close to cooked enough, the driver sat in their car and had me come to collect the food.

Absolutely disgusting service to women. We came in to get our kebabs and we're treated as less than human. The staff refused to talk to us because we were women, only accepting that they forgot our kebabs when our male friend came in to see what was taking so long. Horrible experience and will never come here again.

Not quite fond of kebabs, however started liking the new items they added on the menu. Everything has been improved and become better than before. Food is always made as per my requirements, new staff are more professional overall. Giving 5 stars for these improvements and the owner's friendliness.

Best kebab ever! Just ordered for first time on uber eats and was sooo tasty and actually massive :) And lol to the person who complained about facemasks in a review, god be with you! The government and media are the virus! They can take their masks off completely if they like! I wont complain!

Extremely disappointed, a bunch of unprofessional staff lead by another extremely rude manager, doesn't even understand the basic manners of updating a customer regarding the approximate wait times. People end up waiting here forever, the management need to find ways to address this.

Taste is good but staff is very rude specially the main counter staff and they always talk in their own language and always forgot to pass special instructions to the person packing. Good Joint with poor staff and customer service. Think they are waiting for someone to takeover.

Rang them and didn't even talk on the phone... This isn't the first time this has happened at Sip n bite. The kebabs are tasty, although the hsp is very average. Onion rings and fries are delicious and well cooked. The customer service is very poor and needs to be addressed.

Ordered a mixed kebab. I was eating it and halfway found something chewy in my kebab. I pulled out a long piece of sinew attached to raw chicken. I am not perfect, but I would never recklessly poison someone. Really disappointed and feel sick by this experience.

This one star not about food but the attitude of the staff. I am an Indian guy and as soon as I walk into the shop they just assume I am there for Uber pickup. I notice all the staff that works there are Indians or as looking have some self respect guys.

A lot better than what it used to be where staff were very rude. I got a chicken HSP the other day and the lady that served me was nothing short of polite and attentive. The HSP itself was also of good quality glad to see the turnaround in the store.

There is one Gujrati guy. He don't know customer service. He was talking to someone headset. He never bothered and rude. I was waiting 10minutes to talk. He was talking to someone in his language. He must get training how to deal with customer.

Absolutely loved the European style meat wrap in a Turkish bread with tzaziki sauce and the chicken kebab with hot chilli, yummy garlic and mint sauce. It was so delicious and filling! Definitely going to order it again and visit it. Must try!

Best place for a quick bite, tastes good and well priced. Not recommended for dine in. Need to be a little more concerned on the cleanliness and they start to clean before an hour of closing which is not appetizing as it smells horrible.

Really good Vietnamese food. The banh Minh rolls are as good as anywhere just a bit pricy. Most places you can get for less than $8. I suppose because it’s Bentleigh. The Pho is what you will expect. Overall it’s pretty good.

Wasn't as good as expected from the review ratings. Lamb kebab lacked the taste and felt like its only kebab and lettuce rolled together in bread. Goto the northern suburbs if you want to eat a real delicious kebab.

Order take away Kebab in Turkish role. A bit of a wait (around 30 mins)but honestly the best kebab I've ever eaten! So full of meat it was falling out of bread! Definitely will be a regular customer from now on!

I hope I can give more stars than 5 I tried first time HSP in sip and bite kebab shop and loved it, fresh meat, cooked well, good proportion of everything. Surely recommend to everyone who loves kebab and hsp☺️

A favourite, but it's lost the charm it had when the fare was texta-ed by hand onto butchers paper and stuck up around the shop. Slick is for multinational fast food, you guys are the real deal!

Their kebabs are pretty good, but they don't always wear their face masks properly which is concerning in this day and age. It would be nice if they were friendlier too.

Found this store on Menu Log. Really great and will be my go to favourite for kebabs. On occasion I have been there to order in person (where circumstances permit).

Ordered from here a few times no issues. But today it took 3 phone calls, being hung up on and over an hour to recieve my food. Will be looking for a new place.

Really nice guys behind the counter and definitely my go to place for late night kebabs in terms of quality and price. Little out of the way but worth it

Solid kebabs at a reasonable price. I got the lamb kebab in a combo with chips, garlic bread and a drink for $20.

Great kabab and salads We had an excellent family Kabab diner, tried different dishes and all was so yummy.

Missed order note, chips soggy and container was less than half full. Would not recommend.
