Ethical? Thats a myth. I bought my wife two items for R4148 yesterday - jersey type top and pair of boots. The card machine didn't work after three attempts. On being offered to pay using an EFT, the shop assistant said yes but then phoned to check with Emma the owner whose response to her assistant was so loud it could be heard in the shop: "No, we DONT do EFTs". Actually that was a warning that should have been heeded. But I paid using SnapScan. My wife tried them on properly at home and decided she didn't like the fit and look. She took them back this morning and was told by another shop assistant that they could not be returned. My wife insisted she speak to Emma who refused and said all she would provide was a credit note and when told that was not legal and didn't work for her, Emma put the phone down cutting the conversation short. I went in later this morning and angrily demanded that the store abide by the Consumer Protection Act but got the same story. Emma didn't answer her phone when I called and has not responded to my voice mail. ETHICAL??? I doubt it completely.

Gosh, I love this store, the brand, everything they stand for and the friendly team in store. I’ve purchased online for several years and continue to do so. The quality is amazing, the fabric is good, and I love that it’s locally made. The store experience has made going into a centre enjoyable again. The Gardens store manager is so helpful - knows when to assist and when to leave you to browse. She’s so great at tracking down sizes and assisting you when you’re half undressed and need a different size. Love love love!

ridiculously disappointed. wanted to support the brand, but the quality of the fabric has decreased radically, up to the point where i've barely owned one dress for a year, and another for 6 months, and both have shrunk so much that they are significantly shorter and smaller. i'm saddened as i wanted to buy these articles of clothing for quality - and have the price reflect the longevity - and not have it be a once off wear.

This brand and store is one of my favourites in South Africa. Beautiful ethical clothing that is so unique. I have experienced incredible customer care whilst shopping online and in store. Sitting Pretty is fantastic.
