Don't come here if you want a perm.. I scheduled an appointment with Maddie(hairstylist). Around sept. 27th that I scheduled the appt. and she never showed up, so they offered to give me a free facial because I was very upset. My birthday was around the corner, they also offered 50% discount on my hair appointment. A few days later I come in for my hair appointment and I was going to get a spiral perm. My appointment was at 1:30 and I thought that would be plenty of time to get a perm as and I had college to go to at 6. The receptionist never told me that it would be over five hours to get a perm. I didn't know what to expect because it was my first perm. So, as the lady is rolling them I wait patiently for 5 hours just hoping that my hair is going to turn out the way I planned and the way that I showed her. She said no doubt that it would be so curly and I'm going to love my bouncy curls. I ended up being late to college by an hour which was no big deal, at the time because I thought I was going to leave the salon with lovely curls. After taking all the curlers out she put some product in my hair and we scrunched it to get some curls and I noticed that it wasn't really wanting to curl itself. It really needed help curling. On the second day usually a perm will be very curly and relax later. My perm looked very sad and flat. I thought that maybe if I washed it again that my curls would magically appear. I called the salon to check if I should wash it and she said for me to come in so I came in. The boss, Opel that doesn't specialize in hair to wash my hair. So as she's washing she doesn't put a cape over me and sprays me down my whole back, so my shirt was soaking wet. Then proceeded to put product in my hair she mixes three of them in her hand puts it in my hair and it clumped up like cottage cheese. Then she rinses/washes that out it and starts from the beginning. We did the same thing of scrunching my hair and my curls. It just never had the curls that I was looking for. Prior to the perm I would scrunch my hair and be wavy. But I wanted natural curls that I didn't have to make. I have straight parts of my hair if I didn't try to make my hair curly then it wouldn't be curly at all. Opel and Maddie said my hair didn't take the solution well. Now I have fried ends and no spiral perm hair. She told me to buy a protein builder for my hair (even though I didn't damage my hair! They did.) Now I have to wait at least 3 more months until I can try again. 140$ later and came out with nothing I wanted.

I’ve been a regular client of Skin and Body Boutique for a few years now and today was one of those extraordinary days where, like always I was absolutely in heaven and so relaxed during my facial and pedi that I fell asleep. I always feel like a million dollars when I leave the salon. The salon is beautiful, clean and welcoming. I immediately noticed the relaxing new music as well :) Zenita never disappoints when she does my nails, she knows me so well already that she has ideas / pictures ready for my next set of gel nails when I arrive for my appointment, my pedicures have always been out of this world with THE BEST massages I think Zenita has an angels touch! Megan is my skincare therapist and she is absolutely passionate about her work it never seems like work for Megan. I fall asleep every time, it’s the best relaxation time each time! I look forward to my monthly salon visits so much it feels like home and family Thank you Zenita and Megan for making this visit extra special for me after my birthday xx

Ek stap al 'n lang pad, toe hulle nog Lush was, met hierdie wonderlikste, vriendelikste, en baie dinamiese dames van Skin & Body Boutique. Nie net is hulle baie goed, en baie kundig met hul verskillende take nie, maar is altyd op die voorpunt van nuwe produkte en behandelings. Altyd reg met goeie advies. Dit voel asof ek vir familie gaan kuier as ek 'n afspraak het. Altyd so ontspanne as ek daar uitstap. Viva Skin & Body Boutique!
