We live in Chicago and we’re staying at a hotel winery yesterday night on our vacation to Australia. My husband was craving pizza. After finding this place online, he called up to see if they delivered, but unfortunately we were too far away. We decided to just order anyway and go pick it up ourselves. The guy on the phone was apologetic about us not being able to get delivery and said he’d wait to put the order in for 15 minutes so that the food would be hot when we arrived. We asked if they had any alcohol- which he said they didn’t, but that there is a bottle shop just down the street. It was so nice of him to help accommodate us so we could get just what we wanted. He could have just said no they don’t deliver and no they don’t sell alcohol, but he was so kind in his responses! When we arrived the food was hot and he’d thrown in a free garlic bread for us just because he knew we’d come so far. And when my husband was leaving he walked outside with him and pointed out exactly where the bottle shop was. This kindness would have been enough to give a good review, but when we got back to our hotel and started eating the food we were blown away by how delicious it was. We ordered a chicken & mushroom risotto and an avocado chicken pizza. They were fantastic. Well worth the wait- and we didn’t even need to warm them up when we got back - they were still warm! Can’t say enough about this place- definitely a restaurant worth checking out.

We wanted a pizza tonight, so called Grand Hotel Yarra Glen who do good pizzas but they advised they do not deliver. Not even just a couple blocks away. So someone suggested Slices Of Italy in Lilydale and we glad we did. I have not had traditional Italian pizza in a long while and tonight I ordered Hawaiian with extra salami nice thickness not thin like others do. Also ordered donuts with Nutella and jam. Others ordered to spend more than minimum for a free delivery Delivered within the timeframe advised. Enjoyed it so much decide the operators deserved my great reviews. This Yarra Glen household is very pleased tonight and will be ordering again. Why can't Australia Post deliver parcels to our house when we can get pizza delivered from Lilydale ? Maybe Menu log can deliver parcels too?

Wow, what can I say. We have tried many pizza places in various locations and thought a few were the ducks' guts, that was until we moved to Lilydale and found Slice of Italy. I'll never forget the first pizza I ordered from here, it was perfect in every way. These guys really know how to make a good pizza. Pizza night is the best and I always look forward to it. They also do an amazing parma. I highly recomend thus place to anyone.

I’m in search of a new pizza place as my local one has lost its way lately. Wedges were so fluffy and the satay sauce so yummy. Garlic bread was okay. That’s the good. The large BBQ Chicken Pizza was the size of a medium at every other place I’ve ordered from. The pizza was so dry it was hard to swallow and the chicken seemed like it was compacted in a press. The meat eater pizza wasn’t much better. As on the chicken pizza, the cheese was caked on and didn’t seem like mozzarella cheese……more like tasty cheese…..as it didn’t stretch like a normal slice would. I won’t be ordering from this place again…..better options out there and cheaper.

Amazing food and even better customer service! We had a delivery (menulog) which was running late and the restaurant kept us updated what was happening at all times.The driver then forgot the drink and we were notified of this and they arranged seperate delivery for us.With the petrol prices increasing this was greatly appreciated. We really appreciated the efforts the staff went to just to keep us updated. The pasta was some of the best pasta we’ve had in a long time.Highly highly recommend Slide of Italy. Overall good food, huge proportions Ordered Vegge pasta and had quite a lot of jalapeños in it despite no mention of them on the menu, it was very spicy and not that enjoyable. An update to the menu online would be great *EDIT: received a call almost instantly after reviewing the first time, explained an honest mistake and reimbursed. Lilydale keeps supplying surprises. Slice of Italy at Albert Hill Rd is one of them. A friend said I should try them and so glad we did. We had the “Adonis” Gourmet Pizza which was made with fresh tomatoes, fresh baby spinach, salami, spanish onions, feta and greek olives….superb. I have to confess we did try the small Cheese and Garlic pizza first and all I could say was WOW! They use real garlic. So if you are looking for an alternative in Lilydale for your pizza give Slice of Italy a try.

I just ordered a large Lilydale Special pizza with capsicum and it is delicious. The pizza came with a generous amount of ingredients, just about a dry base, not greasy, very tasty. I should have waited to take a photo before trying it, but it was so good I thought I would post a photo anyway. The gentleman behind the counter was also very nice. They have won me as a customer, but I'm leaving the area on Wednesday. Next time in in Melbourne I know where to come for a delicious pizza!

Recently ordered for delivery to which I and my family were amazed. The quality and flavour of every pizza was simply beautiful. The size and generosity of the toppings was also astounding, far greater than what I had expected for the price. I had ordered 4 medium pizzas for my family of 7, which would normally be just right from a place like Dominos, but we ended up only being about to eat about 2 and a half, giving everyone something for lunch the next day.

We have been ordering slice of Italy for about 12 months. Tonight, the pizzas look like they have been dropped. We had to peel them off the box and they were completely squashed. Very disappointed. In saying this, I would like to thank the owner who took the time to call me and personally apologize. That is customer service. We will certainly order from here again as the pizzas have great flavour and are very filling. You do get value for money. Thank you.

This place is always amazing! We often order delivery from a different town and don’t think we’ve ever not enjoyed it. Really fresh ingredients, great prices, and they always deliver even earlier than expected. Their Chicken Risotto is the best I’ve ever had from anywhere (and I’ve had A LOT)! We also love the Caesar Salad and their pizzas, would 10/10 recommend!

Yay, finally we may have found some decent take away pizzas in the area! A good amount of toppings, good array of choices on the menu including 'gourmet pizzas' and they don't skimp on the tomato sauce base (which many other places we've tried locally seem to). Wouldn't say bases are thin but certainly not thick and doughy. Pricing reasonable and friendly service ordering on phone (happy to add/remove toppings). Would definitely recommend.

We have ordered from here a few times now and it's always been delicious. Parmas- generous portion and delicious (wedges aren't amazing but insignificant in comparison to everything else), salads- generous portion and delicious (especially the Caesar salad), pizzas- delicious and THE GARLIC CHEESE PIZZA....OMG THE BEST THING IVE EVER EATEN....if you know you know!!!! A close family friend and his mother ordered from here last night for the first time and have since spent the day being Ill and reported they thought the pizza tasted funny but chalked it up to trying something new until the nausea kicked in. Extremely disappointing at the lack of food safety. Would not recommend unless you want a toilet as your new best friend

I have purchased pizza from this place twice, the pizza wasn't that bad but it's extremely small serving size especially for the price you're paying. To top it off, i made a suggestion that they should increase their size and they just decided to block me from their page. Since I can't comment publically there, i'll leave the review here.

“Slice of Italy” in Lilydale is our family favourite! Always delicious food, I especially love the Pumpkin Risotto, Loaded Chips & Mediterranean Pizza. Friendly service and cheerful chatter. ‘Slice of Lilydale’, as we often refer to it, meets all of our fancies week after week. Very happy to recommend you sample all the lovely variety.

Seriously the best pizza you will ever eat. The toppings are massive and combined with ample cheese and thin pastrie combined make the most filling and flavoursome meal you will ever have. PLUS their salads all make it excellent value for money .

Worst pizza I've had in a long time. There was salt all over the ham and the base was not as pictured and it was sweet. Idk what they are doing. The dsp was soggy jam donuts swimming in sauce.. owner please reply. If the owner tries to delete this or claim it's a fake review I will take it further.

Have been trying different Pizza Shops in the area after our regular Pizza shop has slowly been dropping in quality. Decided to try Slice of Pizza due to the good reviews, definitely not disappointed. We have found our new regular Pizza Shop. Best Mexican Pizza I have had for years.

I have order three large pizza very first time. All three pizzas were shour and haven't got any taste. There s no pineapple in bbq chicken too much capsicum and tomato in pizzas. Also I have found The strips of steelwool in the pizza. Pizza were expensive than others. Disappointed!

This is no doubt the best pizza place in Lilydale area. The bases are a good size and never oily, fresh sauce, plenty of fresh toppings and very well priced. If you want something else the pasta and ribs are also very nice.Owner and staff are very friendly and service is quick.

This place used to be really good but last night it was like from a different shop I'm not sure what happened but it was awful. They may pile the toppings on but it had no taste, cheese was like rubber. We would not recommend or go back. Really disappointed.

First time we tried this pizza place tonight and were disappointed. The pizza had no taste or flavour. Very very bland. It did have a lot of toppings. And the the customer service was great. But with a soggy base and no flavour didn't make for a great pizza.

The most delicious pizza for miles… seriously, their garlic pizza is to die for! So fluffy, cheesy and a nice crispy base. Just how it should be made! Pizza is 10/10 and so is their pasta… also their service is outstanding! Good job Baha, Michael and Team!

Ordered a large supreme and wow it was medium sized. No flavour what so ever, all I can taste was burnt cheese. Someone recommended it to me but unfortunately it was a let down. $15 for a large pizza that was enough for 1 person not 2.

Probably the worst pizza in the area honestly. Lots but low quality toppings, soggy base, incredibly bland and awful garlic bread which was a surprise. Even Dominos is better (which is saying something) and for half the price.

Been frequenting this pizzeria since it opened and service is very warm and friendly, the pizza is delicious (especially when having extra base sauce) and my family thinks it's the best in the area. Well done and thank you

The best Spaghetti Carbonara I have had locally in years. Garlic and cheese pizza was delicious but definitely needs more garlic in the Pasta and on the bread. Don't be shy with the Garlic.
