Not just stay away from this company, but run as far as you can! It's a total scam! I live in a townhouse building with a rooftop patio which has been leaking for couple of years. In the past I had various roofers doing patch jobs but it was time to pull the trigger and properly re-roof the whole thing. I received bids from 5 different roofing companies and SoCal Green estimate was a bit lower than the others. Most of the reviews online were positive so I figured I made the right call by hiring them. Unfortunately it turned out not to be the case! The job seemed rushed, workmanship quality sub par and generally unprofessional. Quick rundown: 1. Canceling and rescheduling the work the night before they were supposed to start with BS weather excuse which didn't make sense. 2. Big piece of the ceiling in my kid's bedroom fell down during the tear-down (luckily no one was in the room when it happened and they fixed it). 3. Throwing loose roofing material from the roof into the truck parked on the sidewalk (luckily no one was walking down the usually busy street). 4. Not communicating and then overcharging (in thousands) for tear-down. 5. Water pooling on one part of the roof but the project manager doesn't want to take responsibility to correct it unless I pay more. 6. Bubbling, not fully adhered roofing material / torch-down 7. Sloppy and unsightly installed sidewall flashing (painted over after complaint). 8. Project manager not present for city inspection or final walk through. 9. Refusing to fix a mistake they made covering the weep holes with flashing. 10. Owner not returning my calls after expressing my concerns about the low quality of the work performed. Somehow the roof managed to pass city inspection. I guess that's a good thing but it makes me wonder who these inspectors are actually working for... I'm sure the owners will reply to this review with bad excuses and counter attacks. I'm attaching some pictures so you can judge for yourself. In the meantime do yourself a favor and find a different roofer. Update: After I posted my review Ben the supervisor called. He offered to fix the mistake they made. The flashing covering the weep holes was removed and the water damage was repaired.

I spent over a year interviewing close to 20 different vendors looking for a roofer I could believe in. Aaron ******* at SoCal Green Roofing turned out to be the person I trusted the most. I received bids much lower and bids much higher. Ultimately it came down to trust. He's straightforward, thoughtful, knows his stuff, told me things about HVAC unit my own HVAC guys didn't tell me, and he steered me to the best solution for my house. Done on time, no delays, no problems of any kind. SoCal Green Roofing is A rated on the Better Business Bureau and they're certified by the county to inspect their own work—no delays waiting for an inspector. Only a very few roofing contractors have this stamp of approval, and SoCal Green Roofing has it. Oh and I had a couple of very hot rooms, Aaron recommended low profile O'Hagen vents to cool them down. Didn't even know they existed. Great warranty for workmanship from SoCal Green Roofing also for 10 years. Now all we have to do is wait for a really hard rainstorm. (One final note: don't be surprised because Aaron is very very tall.)

And if I had to leave a message, they got back to me quickly. The work was done to our satisfaction and they checked with us twice before beginning work to make sure they understood exactly what we wanted. After they were finished, they fully explained what they did and why. They actually did more than I expected and I was thrilled that they were able to improve upon all of my existing gutter problems. PERFECT! Couldn't have had a better experience. From Erika who works in the office, to the owners, Dave & Aaron, to the men on the job, Vincent (the crew leader), each one more professional and personable. The job entailed working with other vendors (AC/Vac, Skylights, Electrician, Woodwork) and the referrals were equally professional and experts in what they provided for us. All work, all conversations, all interactions were of A+++ quality which made the experience not as painful as it could have been. Each day my home and backyard was cleaned up immaculately, the men worked hard and were on time and stayed late. I could not have been more pleased.

I’m very happy about my state of the art new cool roof with materials that could be no better and look beautiful with 6 new attic venting as well. It was great having the expert professionalism during the installation. That included getting all my many questions answered while learning about the new materials which were also highest of ratings I saw on Consumer Report. Everything was clear and itemized. The drone photos during the work schedule were amazing. It was a relief to see the new vs. old plywood that had to be replaced via those drone photos. Permits and completion were extremely fast and I was able to get a loan through that was important.
