Sonia Jones Travel was referred to me through my suburb community facebook page by multiple people after I put up a 'frustrated post' asking if anyone knew a great travel agent to help book a big trip around South America and Mexico which my partner and I had planned (after many failed attempts to get an itinerary and quote from one of the major franchises, which was a complete waste of our time!). From the first call with Sonia I could tell I was in good hands. I basically sent her a rough itininerary of where I wanted to go (along with a few dates, as we were a flexible) and told her what I wanted to do and she pieced it all together with flights/hotels/tours and any airport transfers we required. She also recommended a company for travel insurance and a travel doctor to make sure our vaccinations were up-to-date. The itinerary and quote was done within a couple of days and the whole trip (which was 9 weeks long) was booked within a couple of weeks. We had to make multiple changes to the itinerary while we were on the holiday as well due to a political unrest taking place in Peru, and both her and Amy were very helpful during a stressful and disappointing time for us. Whilst we slept overnight preparing for an early morning evacuation, Sonia swung into action organising transfers out of the fire zone (no easy task) , booking alternate accommodation for the ensuing 10 days of our holiday and cancelling the reservations which were no longer tenable. We will be forever grateful for that - and her calm responses and assurances that she would have it all sorted by morning !!

Sonia curated the most magnificent trip for myself and three teenagers. We stayed in both Singapore and Krabi, Thailand. Sonia put in a great deal of effort to listen to what we wanted, put forward a set of options, and we selected from amongst those. In Venice, we had a gorgeous room on the Grand Canal with no only a view of the canal, but also the Rialto bridge.
