This review is a warning to others who is looking to work with this company. DON'T. We used SPL hire linen on the Mornington Peninsula for about 2 months embracing their relatively new RFID technology, whereby linen items are collected by our staff from one of their storage sites. Items in theory are automatically scanned to an account using SPL issued fob. Soiled linen was returned to same sites. It became quickly apparent that the technology employed was far from reliable with our teams reporting incorrect scanning. The storage sites were more often than not, incorrectly supplied and a general mess to work around. Invoices were emailed sporadically and incorrect at all times. eg invoices could show a face washer being returned one day and a pillowslip the next and pickups similar. We abandoned using the company further and all linen in our possession was returned. You would think this would be the end of the matter. Unfortunately from late January when we ceased using the service to mid-June, we were in a tussle with SPL to try and get our account corrected. Money was still being deducted from a business account for non-existent hire linen totalling nearly $1600. Our account manager NEVER responded to the dozens of emails, txts, and calls re our concerns. When I finally tracked the account manager down and after being VERY VERY patient for months and out of pure exasperation, I was accused of being rude and I would get very little support from anyone at SPL with my attitude. Once the account manager effectively washed her hands of the matter, I was directed to the accounts department. Staff were woefully incompetent, dismissive and condescending with respect to any attempt to fix our accounts. Their responses to our emails were always full of errors and incorrect and they did not understand the issues at hand. Finally, refund money just appeared in company bank account one day as per our request months earlier, with no apology or explanation. 2 days later after the refund was processed, 2 further statements were emailed showing money as still owing totalling several $1000s. I asked for this to be corrected, and that updated statements showing zero balance to be emailed and confirmation our accounts are closed and no further transactions are possible. As of writing we have not had a response. Absolutely woeful customer service, internal systems and product quality. Be warned.
We are a regular customer of South Pacific laundry from last 4 years, but recently the service they provide and down grated on a extreme level. We are a healthcare facility and it is extremely important for us that our soil laundry goes out every week as it can be a health hazard. South pacific have not delivered clean linen to us from last 2 week and also they have not collected our soil trolleys. We made several phone calls but every time the reception staff answers the phone and tell me that she will pass on the message. We I asked her to speak to manager, she always mention that she is not there yet or out of office. This is happening from last 3 weeks and the worst part is they do not every bother to call back and ask for the issue. Not happy to use their services anymore.

Appalling behaviour by a $300M company. 2 weeks notice, no consultation (all accommodation operators in the region would have readily accepted a rise in prices if it meant a continuation of service or understanding of business opportunities in Gippsland (set to grow rapidly over the next 5 years). Dishonest, untrustworthy and incompetent. Very sad given how wonderful the service was until this lot of idiots got their hands on it. I would suggest the puppet masters (private equity firm Anchorage Capital Partners) have a very close look at its management team - Linkedin profiles mediocre.
This place is fantastic for laundry services, especially is the receptionist, Melanie who is very friendly and supportive by her warm heart to make sure customers will get responses & delivery asap. One time, our customers left some priceless and memorable stuff in our hotel room. It’s Melanie assisting to look for the stuff around all SPL sections and return it to our customers, which gave our hotel 5 stars rating in customer review. Therefore, she deserves to get 5 stars too!
Poor service. Waited over 2 months for an invoice to be sent but never received it. Tried to get in contact with Oscar (Sales Manager) and Steven (Operation Manager) to confirm linen order and was advise that an invoice will be send to me within 24 hour but never received it. Very unprofessional would never work with them again. Do not recommend this services to anyone.
Did a walk thru of operations and safety appears high in importance as equipment is very well maintained with a high standard of guarding and all machines with Safety Procedures. Spoke to staff as I walked thru and had a good chat with them and they expressed the length of time working their and a good working family culture. Australian Risk Services
With no warning spl discontinued linen deliveries to regional areas- essentially putting low paid hard working cleaners and small business owners under even more pressure- like the pandemic hasn’t been hard enough- not only that the delivery shoots are so high I have injured my back dropping off soiled linens- it’s a law suit waiting to happen
South Pacific Laundry should be avoided at all cost. Why risk your business to a mob like Pacific Laundry who have just pulled the pin on servicing motels and caravan parks from Morwell to Lakes Entrance. If you're in the market to use a professional linen service, look elsewhere! South Pacific don't care about customers.
DO NOT USE PACIFIC LAUNDRY. After acquiring the competition and closing them down, Pacific Laundry have now given over 50 accommodation venues in Gippsland 2 weeks notice that they are closing down the Sale depot, leaving most motels in Gippsland without an alternative but to go back to doing their own linen. Disgusted.
This business parks their full sized trucks on city footpaths and their loading ramp is sharp metal at chest level, basically giving a middle finger to anyone using the footpaths, even worse you're vision impaired or use a wheelchair. Couldn't be more inconsiderate if they tried. Bring your business elsewhere.
Terrible standard of linen consistantly missing dirty marks on laundry. Do not deliver correct amounts of linen ordered. Unable to make contact with anyone whether by phone or email. Automated response with emails & keep leaving msg's on phone but no one returns calls.
One of the employees racially discriminated me. Not a good place for work. I made a formal complaint to the management team but they did not even respond to it. Their inaction is clearly against their own policy (0 tolerance to workplace bullying and discrimination)
Area of the laundry is good but the receptionist over their is not very nice. When I met with her she was very rude with me. She don't know how to talk with the people. Manager of the laundry needs to hire suitable receptionist instead of her.
Major hotel outlets. Can not get trolleys. Continuously told that they do not have any. Dirty laundry bags having to be stacked outside of rooms in rain going mouldy. Incorrect orders.Extremely unprofessional. Can not recommend.
After months of failures and even after speaking with the director of the company, our needs as a commercial hotel customer were not listened to, addressed or met. Avoid SPL at all costs.
Very Low-End Warehouse. Top equipment with hard workers but terrible working conditions. Don't apply in Summer if you can't handle the heat as A/C isn't seen as a necessity.
Delivery never on time, trying to chase up our order then got cancelled without any notice. Now I'm frustrated because we don't have enough linens to cover this week.
