"Kind and caring Doctor took care of my itchy doggo today"
I've never had such a traumatising time getting my pet back to full health. Reception was always friendly and welcoming; however the overall feel of the place was not. The doctor barely looked at me while examining my pet and gave me no peace of mind or told me what she was even going to do to my cat's wound. I don't really know if the price was reasonable because I still don't know all the medications they gave my cat! Here's the full story: My cat sliced her foot open on one of the wall spikes near my house. Her wound was open for about a day as I could not get her to the vet right away, and she was in survival mode so she was also hiding all day. We called in the next morning and brought her in. The vet met us in her office and immediately went to check out my cat, just barely greeting us. The only time we actually interacted was when she asked us what happened and then told us the wound was infected. Then, she told us Nori, my cat, would have to stay overnight and promptly took her away, sending us over to reception before we left. The following morning the vet's office called and let us know when we could pick Nori up, and then we picked her up on said date. The vet wasn't in the office when we picked up my cat, and the only aftercare instructions were: "Don't let her pull her bandage off." My cat got 4 different injections, and I still don't know what they were for, aside from anaesthetics purposes. The next week was tough. With my cat constantly pulling at her bandage, I had to watch her like a hawk. I didn't sleep much. I thought, at the very least, they had to give her a cone, because she was already pulling at it at the vet's office. A few days passed and after barely getting any sleep, stressed as I was, my body finally relaxed as I thought the worst was over. Next morning I wake up to find my cats bandage had fallen off and her foot swelled progressively throughout the day until nighttime when she was in visible pain, she did not want to move, and only wanted to hide. She pulled her stitches out. I wrapped her foot up in a new bandage from my first aid kit and the next morning, the swelling subsided. It was the scariest moment I've had, seeing my tiny cat's paw swell 3 times its regular size. Once we took her back to the vet to have her stitches removed, again the vet did not interact with us very much, just cut out the stitches that remained after my cat pulled most of it out, said goodbye to my cat, greeted us and sent us out to reception. I have no doubt that the vet knew what she was doing, she's probably very good at it, the results are clear; my cat is healed. She also clearly showed that she cares for animals. My problem lies with the customer service. Or just the general lack of information given and sympathy for the patient's owner. That week was as stressful for me as it was for my cat. I don't remember the doctor's name, I don't even think she told us. This was just a terrible experience that could have been avoided had the vet talked to us, explained what was being done to my cat, and gave aftercare instructions. Though, honestly, a cone would have been the one thing to fix the whole situation of Nori pulling at her bandage and stitches. Wish I had gone elsewhere but this was the nearest vet. Would not recommend.
My cat was on the verge of dying on Saturday morning after going to a vet nearby who diagnosed stress urininary syndrome 2 weeks earlier. Our little fella was not eating for 4 days.Unless we syringed fed him. I thought he was a goner and we were going to put him to sleep. We were devastated. We went to the Southfield Veterinary Clinic and was assisted by Dr Jessica Cathro, who with her passion for animals in mind and sure belief assured us she would do her best to save him. I had my doubts, our cat wanted to stay in the bushes to die and felt it was his time so we were really at our wits end. Following 2 blood tests we found out our beloved cat had biliary and another parasite infection which were literally killing him slowly. Dr Cathro saved his life! Her swift action and calm nature during this stressful time has been admirable. Thanks to Dr Jessica Cathro our cat is home and happy! She is the best and comes highly recommended
Would definitely recommend this practice! Each experience we have had with them has been easy. The receptionist is very organised, warm and welcoming. The doctor is knowledgeable, calming and genuinely caring - which is perfect for nervous doggies. And besides all this, their prices are the best in the area - they definitely don't overcharge but their level of service is still superior!
This is an amazing place to bring your pets. A warm welcome and a kind person on the other side of the counter. Also great interaction from the Vet herself. My first time taking my cat and dog for shots and with out a doubt i felt like staying and chatting more. Amazing!!!
Kind and caring Doctor took care of my itchy doggo today. Also gave amazing advice on getting the right treatment going forward and encouragement. Lovely reception nurse squeezed me in on the day of calling, much to my dogs relief. Highly recommended. 10 stars required.
Having made the difficult decision to PTS our beloved baba, the vet was very patient and compassionate. She explained every step of the process and treated our baby with dignity. The cost of treatment seems to be a little less than what I've experienced elsewhere.
The most AFFORDABLE vet I have ever had! PLUS the vet and receptionists are incredible. I would highly recommend, you dont get cheaper or better service! THIS IS MY NEW DOG DOCTOR! I am so glad my old vet was too busy! Cos I found them ! STUNNING, JUST STUNNING
Tried calling during business hours call was never answered. When I was able to get hold of someone to talk to they were not helpful I ended up using a vet out of my area when my local vet Southfield is less than 400m away from me useless is a under statement
I love my animals; they are family to me and they are my responsibility. It is amazing to have found a place that cares as much about them as I do. Not just medical health but all round wellness of the entire family. Dr Jess deserves an extra special mention!
Excellent service from the first word. Carol at reception is pleasant & efficient. Dr Cathro is thorough, kind, gentle with our pets, & always shares good advice. Could not be happier with them as our go-to vet clinic!
Love this Vet Practice, the receptionist and Vet are the loveliest ladies you'll ever get to meet, they take very good care of my two kitty boys. Great care, affordable prices and my cats love them, always a bonus.
They are amazing. It's always stressful when you take your pets to the vet. I am happy to bring my pets here, they get the best care. (Even if the patient I brought was cranky) Keep up the good work.
Best vet ever, esp for for the type of dogs we have. Have never had an issue with the Dr or the lovely ladies who are the reception. Really caring and interested in the animals and their well being.
Awesome experience, very friendly and knowledgeable, vet, I've been to a few animal clinics with my dog and finally settled here as her go to vet, real warm hearted animal lovers
I don't go here too often, only when my dog needs his vaccinations really. But I can say that the receptionist is always very friendly, helpful and also knowledgeable.

Since we had our Jack Russell we have been taking there for all her vaccines and now we had her spade and the doc. did an awesome job. We'll recommend.
