UPDATE: I have since been back to Ben to service my car and I'm very happy with his work, customer service, price and patience as he always answers my 5000 questions about all things cars! I also had to get Ben to order some new indicator lights and he installed them with no charge for labour. Thanks again Ben! Ben unfortunately didn’t have time to fix my car (although I was trying to get it done the same day). However, he very kindly made time to have a look at my car to see what was wrong and what work was required so that I could tell another mechanic what needed doing. And then he lined me up with a friend of his who is also a mechanic but wasn’t as busy. I found Ben to be very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend! My partner brought his car to Ben earlier this year when his window got stuck and he couldn't close it. He had been quoted $800-900 at the dealership, which led us to shop around and find Sparks Mechanical. Not only did he get the window to shut on a Saturday with no booking, he was able to get the part and fix it for him at a fraction of the cost. Since then, we've been bringing both our cars to Ben for services. He knows his stuf, is extremely thorough, and takes the time to explain everything to you so you know what you're getting in the service. Communication is A+, as is his quality of work. You simply can't beat the value for money, I couldn't recommend him enough.

After being disappointed with other mechanical repairers, I found Sparks Mech via a Google search. The reviews spoke very highly of Ben, so I decided to give him a go. Just speaking with Ben over the phone and describing my vehicle behavior, I knew I had found an honest and knowledgeable mechanic finally. I had issues with my taillights not working and falling on a weekend I was a little concerned with not being able to get my car looked at on such short notice. Ben was a great help. Was able to see me quickly and provided a temporary solution until further parts could be ordered. Ben went above and beyond to get my tail lights working, even by removing bulbs from his work van and putting it into my car when he discovered he had no spare bulbs left, to ensure I didn't have an accident from not having them! I was very impressed with his service.

Ben was very knowledgeable and knew just where to look for the problems with my Jeep. I had previously been to a large dealership where I received outrageous costs for repairs that would not have fixed the problems. Ben gave a very accurate diagnosis. He replaced a wheel speed sensor and cleaned the fuel throttle body at a very reasonable cost. I appreciated the fact that he provided me with before and after photos and treated an older female customer with respect. It was my first visit to him and I will be back. Highly recommended.

What a legend! I was driving with my 6 month old and 2 year old in the car when the drivers window jammed and dislodged. I rang Ben in a bit of a panic as i had places to be and could hardly leave the car with a window down. Ben was able to see me straight away and within 20 minutes fixed the window and was able to send me on my way. Honestly I did not think at 10.30 on a Saturday morning I would be able to get this fixed so easily, glad a rang Ben and would highly recommend him.

I’ve recently had a few issues with my car, it broke down on a Sunday so I scanned through the internet looking for a mechanic (which is hard to find on a Sunday as you can imagine!) but I came across Sparks Mechanical so I called and Ben couldn’t have been more helpful he came round to where I lived, assessed what the problem was and had it fixed within an hour. He is honest, reliable and does not rip you off! I would certainly recommend him to anyone.

Ben has serviced our car twice now and we are very happy with his service, quality of work and communication. What I like particularly is that he updates you with what is required and confirms you are happy with him to proceed with any work. I also like that he gives you an idea of what may be required in the future so there are no nasty surprises on your next service. Ben is a great mechanic, honest and reliable! I had a problem with my Corolla and Ben was able to diagnosed it straight away. He then spent the next 15mins or so just double checking if his diagnosis was correct. He found out exactly which part needed replacing, not just randomly guessing which I've had other people do in the past. Ben explained everything to me really well. Very professional and well priced. Highly recommended!

I called up Ben after hours for what seemed to me like an emergency with my car (I had some engine lights flashing at me and I know nothing about cars). He took the time to explain over the phone what was happening and gave me piece of mind, assuring me that it was nothing to worry about. I was referred to Ben by a friend at work and have now gone to him a few times for both my car and my daughter's car. I can't recommend him enough. On two occasions he fitted me in with minimal notice, he is very friendly and explains everything and shows me exactly what was broken or damaged. You can't beat his prices. It's good old fashion service like you used to get and someone that you can trust.

Had a broken brake light switch and rang up after closing with the hopes of leaving a voicemail to get my car seen the next day but my call was answered and was told to bring my car down as it was a quick fix! Part was in and replaced in 2 minutes and I was good to go. Amazing local and personable service, will definitely be returning!

Only ringed to ask for a quote, the man is absolutely legend! Not only gave me a detail quote also told me what to watch out when I am quoting with other mechanics on the phone regardless he is too busy and not be able to help. I've put off a service on my car for ages not knowing who to take it to and who was trustworthy. Ben is hands down genuine and honest. He's reasonably priced and doesn't use the cheapest parts. He works within your budget and has for me, split over a few appointments, times to fix what needs to be done on my car.

I’ve had to call on Ben twice now, once for radiator replacement and once for a new battery. Both times Ben was very quick to come out and diagnose the problem. He makes every effort to get the job done and have you back on the road in no time. An honest dude and very reasonable with costs. Excellent service.

Terrific service. With an active toddler on my hands, it was so nice to have someone come to us. Ben fit us really quickly, arrived early (which was really helpful for us) and it all ended up costing less than he quoted. He even had a little matchbox car to gift to my son. Called up on a weekend and he last minute squeezed me in and checked over my car for free, text me the price and fit me in as soon as he could. While he was looking over my car he explained everything so I could understand. Great service! Definitely recommend!
